"Well... I nearly did." He admitted quietly, drawing little circles in the sand, "I remember hearing my father roar and seeing him run after some smaller creatures. I wanted him to see me as favorable in his sight so I went out to help capture them.... but when I saw the horror in their eyes it made me think. I captured the fox easily enough and my father took the others away- not even turning his gaze in my direction." He remembered it quite viberently actually... that was just a few nights before leaving his lands, "I helped sneak all the "slaves" to my den and with their help we all fled to freedom...They'll be safe here." He took a glance to the others, smiling sheepishly. They had become his family in those days in the desert- every one of them.

Koho's golden ears perked, listening comfortably to the conversation between her son and Mwali. Seeing that not many others felt like helping the red giant she smiled, rolled her eyes slightly and retrieved a leaf. Laying it gently on Mwali's expansive side she let her claws slip from their protective caves of skin and muscle. Very carefully she cut edge of the leaf all the way around, exposing the juices which turned sticky with contact to the air. Retracting her claws she scooped her paw underneath the leaf and neatly planted it on one of Mwali's medicated wounds without so much as a warning. The sap would sting if it came in contact with his wound, but the leaf was big enough that it should on grip onto the surronding, unbroken skin, if she didn't mess up too bad. She laughed to herself at the strange things one picks up caring for little cubs.
Her ears twitched sharply when she heard Mwali's comment about his brother's mate, "Tell me, prince, what is the name of this lioness whom your brother chose to take as mate? I am interested." She took a swift glance up to Sukutu to see if he held the answer in his mind also. She had been gone away for such a long time on her adolescent adventure that she really was out of touch with the pride's business. When Mwali questioned the visciousness of his pride dark memories came floating back to the surface of her mind, though she was quick to avert her amber eye's, so as not to worry her son, worrying never helped anything. She had ventured into the deserts once, and once was enough for her....((Just wanting clarification, where are Mwali's wounds and how bad are they... so I know for medicating them))

The juvenille blinked and smiled at his foster mother, purring happily at the sound of her voice before her question to Mwali perked his own curiousity. His pale purple eyes looked over at the red lion as he made himself comfortable, the smell of the herbs however making the pre-teen muzzle wrinkle up at the disdainful smell of the plants, ughh, how could something that smelled so bad be good for you...oh well. Shaking his head he quickly just looked at the firey lion and awaited his answer. "Yeah Mwa' I wasn't around when I heard the news...so who's the 'lucky' lioness' to end up with you bro?"

"Kimondo was her name...that's what she told me to tell this pride, and that she's very happy. A proud mother and the heiress to my pride.", He sounded a bit distant, his body shivering under the touch of the leaf. The large cut in his shoulder was the largest external wound. He had been kicked in the chest and trampled along his shoulder and side but thankfully not enough to crush any bones. It did do some damage to him internally, for a long while he had been coughing up blood, now and then a faint drizzle along his lips and chin could be seen but not much else. He seemed to be dealing with it well enough, carrying himself as if nothing was wrong at all. "You don't have to call me Prince anymore, my lady..." He looked shyly to Koho, his ears lowering a bit, "I"m nothing now, just a brute of a red rouge is all. Once you leave the firekin you're not welcome back. I'd be slain if I set one paw back in my pride's lands.

A glimmer of the adolescent mischief sparked back in her amber eyes, "Well then, we best make sure you don't leave here, don't want you loosing your way and stumbling into that desert..." The name sounded faintly familiar, a lioness only a bit younger than her, she must be one of the youngest lionesses of the older generation around now that Kimondo was gone....
There was still dirt clinging to the dried blood of the male's shoulders, that dirt would attract vermants, which would not help the situation. Sighing contentedly, Koho nudged the leaf, double checking it wouldn't fall off, then her body weight shifted only slightly, her strong tail flicking to balance her. Her sleek golden coat rippled slightly as the muscles in her back flexed, settling her weight proportionally on her hinds. She carefully lifted her front paws, setting them lightly on intact portions of his upper back. He was too large for her smaller self to reach the top of his shoulder blades while sitting, so she had positioned herself so she balanced on him, and so was able to clean his shoulders easier. The dirt and blood mixture tasted strange on her rough tongue and she cleaned him like a mother would clean her cub, but she wasn't one to judge. She certainly had rid many cubs of many strange things over the years....
Wishing to change the subject, Koho looked to her son, at an odd angle of course seeing as she was still pampering Mwali, "So, little one, what did the queen have to say to you? She looks a little angry...." She trailed off, letting the sentence hang forever unfinished. Her eyes had an amused glint to them, she could never be truely angry with any cub, exasperated, yes, but anger was not an emotion she generally wore. She was simply interested in being informed, in case she needed to speak with her sister-in-law sometime.((somehow it seems strange to be typing sister-in-law... *laughs* anyway, crappy and I know it, and I'm sorry))

Sukutu looked at Mwali and his ears flattened slightly, man, that was a tad harsh wasn't it? To be killed if you left the pride, oh well, each to his own he supposed, it takes all sort to make the world...even if some of those are murderous.
His ear's then flicked back up as he turned towards his foster mother and smiled softly at her...that is until she asked why the Queen had spoken to him, ahh yes, what a wonderful day this turned out to be alright.
"Uhhh well ya see uhh...I kinda found this rogue lion and uhhh...nearly fought with him because I thought he was dangerous...instead of helping the Queen get the meal back home..." He said in the most akward pre-teen voice he could do, giving an equally akward innocent smile as he showed all his yellowish white fangs as if trying to look like nothing ever happened.

"...you mean- you want me to stay here?", His whiskers flared again as he turned away, ducking his head into his shoulders in another vain attempt to hide the equivilant of a lion's blush from Koho. Not a few days ago he hardly felt that anyone wanted him so much as on the boarder of the land, now the one lioness whose opinion meant the world to him wanted him to stay. It was a step above flattering in his mind. All he wanted was acceptance really- and a chance to perhaps win her heart. Still, he felt he was undeserving of such an honor, at even a chance at such an honor. There was little to nothing that he could do for her pride, he'd be just as useless as he was back in the firekin. The most he could do was perhaps look frightening in some way.
He listened quietly to what the young one had to say, a rounded ear turning towards him to listen more carefully. A rouge male? Where they following him? "Wh-what did he look like?" He put in quicker than he probibly should have, turning to him with a rather frightened look in his emerald eyes. He managed to catch himself- a bit too late, but he caught himself none the less- and calmed himself, clearing his throat, "I-I mean... because I perhaps can drive him out if he means harm... I don't know how to fight but he doesn't know that... a-and well I look... intimidating... judging from the reactions that I get...."

When Sarabi awoke from her doze, it was far later than she had thought. The sun sat on the the horizon, burning up the skys in a fury of red and gold. She rose and was pleased that her paw was only a little sore and stiff. It would go away with a little time. Turning, she caught sight of the firekin prince and his small group. Curious, she trotted down Priderock, carefully making her way over the many boulders to join them. ((now that the new shop is kinda up, does any want to fast forward the rp to after the plague? Its too bad that they choose that, but it does clear some things up))

((*gargles* school sucks, alright, so can I get an update? I can't seem to find the thread *cries* plague? wha? I would prefer for Koho to stay with the pridelands, with her brother and family etc, she has to take care of the little ones after all.... anyway, I could definately use an explanation, and I will try to respond ASAP
Edit: Pr'haps if we fast forward, Mwali shall be healed also, otherwise he will never be up to snuff, for how slow we move... Just a thought, it's a little hard to keep an rp interesting with one of the lions seriously injured since we can't really go anywhere... Not that that is your fault of course *hugs Mwali* poor guy xp ))

(( Yeah, I've been wanting Mwali better for a while, that way he could be all cute and flirty and stuff xd As for an update it sounds like since the guild's getting a make-over a lot of the inactive members have had their characters killed off to make up for them being gone. I'm not sure if everyone was assessed or asked about this so I'm not quite sure whose still alive or not. They're using a plegue to make up for this. I went over some of the plot thingers they have: From the new thread Pride Lands Pride (Mufasa, Sarabi) - The Pride Lands pride is situated right in the heart of Africa. Ruled over by it's kindly King and Queen, the Pride Lands flourish and thrive despite the numerous problems along it's borders. They worship their ancestors, believing that their dead are looking down on them from the stars.
Firekin Pride (Unknown/Pending) - The once-proud and tough pride is in shambles. They were hit perhaps the hardest by the plague - and have lost their king and heir. The other son, Mwali, has deserted the pride, as has the only royal daughter, Mwezi. With the only offspring of Kiu still young, who will take the throne? The Firekin worship fire and flame and the sun, and believe they have the goddess-given right to be the most powerful creatures of them all - all others are 'lesser' creatures. They worship the goddess Finar-si.
Mistweaver Pride (None) - Only remnants of this mystical pride exist. Located in a lush valley, the Mistweavers were known to be extraordinary intelligent...before a plague came and wiped what was left of them out. Sworn enemies of the Firekin. They worship the Storm God.
Ela'wadiyi (In'ali Dida) - Pushed out of their home by marauders, the Ela'wadiyi has tried to make it's home in the hills west of the Pride Lands, but it's difficult. Uprooted of most of it's members by exhausting trek. They tend to live in small family groups which were once great clans. Infighting has yet to break out, but there's already tension within the clans. They worship numerous spirits. So that puts both my charries in a bit of a spot. I was thinking either to have Maji (my mistweaver) seek out another pride (probibly the pridelands) to survive (it seems he's the last one now crying ) or hope that someone else will wonder into there lol. It's getting boring posting alone. Mwali's in a tough spot because his nephews and neices are orphened and out there alone. sweatdrop At least we can't say it's dull anymore, lots of ways we can go with all this, heh. So I dunno what you guys wanna do. It would be cool to catch eachother on at the same time over aim or something and talk it out before the 26th (when all this is going to happen).))

((I just really want Koho to stay with her family, maybe she could journey with Mwali to the Firekin lands and take care of them until one of them is old enough, then come back? I dunno, I just don't want her to permanently seperate from the pridelands pride, they're her family whee *thinks*
Yeah, once Mwali is healed up he could hear about the devastation and want to check up on his nieces/nephews and Koho could come with and then they could raise the children until one is ready to rule over their siblings, then let come back to the pride lands, it could also possibly build a tie between the two prides, but that would be a major plot line involving everyone, and dust would have to clear it.... seeing as that would seriously involve all of the characters that are existent in some way or another...
Oh, and I'm availiable pretty much all this week at any time during the day, school is out for february break!))
