The cat purred warmly at the scratch, then meowed and streached his back legs out. Once he was good and awake, he hopped onto a chair, the table, and finally CJ's shoulder.

Aiden looked to the cat and blinked. "More cats. Bet me sister would love ya." he said to C.C., not expecting the cat to talk.
Prolly would, since in that other thread with other wallbreakers I was cuddlin' 'im... Oh, ya guys got some backup on th' way.

"Wow, even more peeps. I wonder if this is how teams like the Justice League are formed. This could be a might interestin' . . . talking cat, Aiden, Me, other peeps . . ."
Well, this is gonna be interesting. Two non-powered guys and a talking cat taking on Wilson Fisk and associates. I'd place your bets now, folks!
C.J. smiled as the cat perched up on his shoulder. "It's pretty cool. He came in the same night Misty started living here. Pretty cool, huh?" he asked, handing Aiden the bottle of Jameson. "Don't drink it all at once. I assume we're gonna have a lot of butts to kick, and I doubt they're gonna let us run to the liquor store in the middle of a fight." he warned.

The cat, for whatever reason, was keeping his cover of simply being a normal, non-talking, fish loving, bad-luck causing little black cat. He purred, meowed, then rubbed his head affectionately against the side of CJ's head.
Hey... they guy had fed him and gave him a warm bed. He was on the "good" list.

Aiden took the bottle of Jameson and took a swig from it. "Oi, y'know I fight better when I'm drunk, C.J.," the Irishman replied with a grin, reaching over for C.C. and petting him, scratching his ears.
ETA to backup arrival, my next post!
Hey C.J., I wonder if I can do more stuff with this new power I got...

C.J. smirked. "I know full well. I just wanna make sure you STAY drunk 'til we clear outta the-" he paused, looking out the window. "Ah, snap. We got company." he growled. If this was another villain, there was gonna be SERIOUS hell to pay!

The sound of a roaring engine could be heard, and a sleek back car, one C.J. would be familiar with, pulled up in the trainyard. Out of it stepped a shadowy figure who was about an inch shorter than Aiden, who looked around... and then to the traincar that the C.J. and Aiden were in.
The Batwoman had come to play.
Yah, Fisk's in serious trouble now...

C.J. smirked, recognizing the car. How'd she get that car out of second gear?! he thought and smiled to Aiden. "Well, news travels fast." he said and stepped out of the railroad car, leaning on the guard rail of the outside vestibule, having had the intelligence to leave that battered 12-gauge inside. "Glad ya can come . . . sorry ya don't have much of a fight here. May have one at Fisk's though." he said with a smirk, recognizing the batmobile, fortunately in much better condition.
"Well, I think our odds improved considerably."

The Batwoman moved closer to C.J. as he spoke to her, and gave a terse nod. "Let's go," she said shortly, moving for the Batmobile; however, her cape blew up a bit, revealing her gorgeous backside, shown off as it was with the skintight suit she was wearing, swaying side to side in a naturally business-like sashay.
Aiden had no trouble staring, and didn't seem to get a reprimand from Brenda, as he followed her to the Batmobile.

If I wasn't taken, I'd TOTALLY tap that. C.J. thought, grabbing his shotgun and smiling at CC. "Y'know, I think this is gonna be fun." he said with a drawl before looking back at Aiden. "C'mon, hotshot, let's go save Misty." he said to the Irishman, stashing a couple of the shotgun rounds in his shirt pocket and walking towards the Batmobile.

Sorry C.J., she's married~
Brenda got into the Batmobile, followed by Aiden, C.J., and C.C., and she started driving off toward New York. After a few moments of silence, she asked, in her normal tone of voice still, "Why exactly is a cat being brought along for this mission?"

C.J. smirked casually, propping the unloaded shotgun with his foot. "He wanted to come. 'Sides. Kinda hard to get pet-sitters to come when your home doesn't exactly have an address." he said with a shrug, stroking CC's chin with his free hand, tapping his fingers with his other hand on the stock of the gun.
"Meh, no worries. I'm taken, she's hitched. No problema . . . 'sides, I said 'if'!"

The cat mewed and curled himself up on CJ's lap as they drove off. His tail flicked back and forth as he hid a small grin.
This was going to be fun... Going on yet another rescue mission with expected results would be boring though. Well.... good thing this wasn't going to be one of those times. The cat's tail flicked a bit faster as he thought about the look on everyone's face when they found out what had happened.

(( Alright, you guys can probably head on over to Fisks for the big rescue / fight / etc. Rebecca and Julianne are on their way to the circus, and Saph's gonna pop up there after they get walking around some. ))
