User ImageNatsuko, ChibiPoet, Bluedemon:

"Being a watcher?" The girl thought how to word it, "Well, I guess it's sort of like a traveling scientist? I observe pokemon in their natural habitats and see how they react to elements in their area and with each other, their habits and rituals and how they communicate and stuff. A lot of the work is already done, but it'd good to go back through in case something new pops up." Lumina grinned, "I do a lot of notes and drawings, then send it to my mom. She's a behavioral scientist, works for a company that helps to learn more about pokemon." A pause, then, "I don't know much about healers. What's that like?"

Lumina was kneeling down for another stick when she noticed another person heading over. She grinned at his offer to help, "Sure, a lot of our wood got drenched in water so need to restock to last the night."

She was surprised to see another find their way down to the creek, "Hey, the more the merrier." She called out in return, "Hello! And what brings you two here?

Inwardly, Danny was relieved he didn't need to help with any dishes. It really wasn't his favorite task. So he bent down toward the ground and picked up a stick. "No problem. I'm Danny, by the way," he said, directing this to all gathered. "Pretty rough day, huh?" His rented Ponyta followed him around, only because she felt like she didn't have anything better to do.

[[@mew, sorry for the wait]]

Milo nodded as Anise filled her in on the situation. "I'm just a Trainer." She started to set up a small portable tent. "I came here for the adventure!" Her eyes filled with emotion, the passion of discovering something new. "Catching a new pokemon would be a plus." She wanted to add a new member to the team whenever it was possible.

She finished setting up her tent and held out some poffins to Anise's pokemon, "Would you guys like one?"

User ImageLumina nodded, "Yeah. I was just telling--uh.. the healer in training here about it. Well, healer and breeder I think you said?" It dawned on her that she had never asked for her name. She looked back to her stick helper, "And I'm a watcher aiming for my first pokemon. How about you?"

"Pleased to meet you, Danny. I'm Lumina. And you are..?" She looked towards the other two in their creek-side-group.

Rachel paused briefly in her washing to grin up at Lumina. "Your job sounds fantastic." she said then started back at washing. "To be a healer you are trained to be a nurse but you have more field training. For instance a nurse wouldn't necessarily know which plant can heal a simple cough but a healer would because of our field training." She placed a washed plate on a dry clothe on the ground. "Us healers could tell you what plant does what just by the description alone but since we are trained differently we couldn't operate some of the machines in normal pokecenters." Rachel finished another plate. "Of course there are also differences in trainer each healer depending on they're preferences. Some are trained more in the nurse way then the normal healer way."

Rachel looked over her shoulder at them and smiled. "I'm Rachel, nice to meet you. Yes it has been quite the day, I can't wait to see what tomorrow will be like." she laughed. "Yes I'm a healer and breeder."

@Ashes:

User Image "Sure, Felix never turns down a treat!" At the mention of treats, the Delcatty trotted over to Milo and purred charmingly. Sola trotted over and stuck her head over Anise's shoulder, as if asking if there were any treats for her, too.

Anise laughed and gave the pot a final stir. "Speaking of food, soup's done!" She poured the soup into two bowls, handing one to Milo with a spoon in it.

Mist, Chibi, and Natsuko-

Alexa set her dishes down by the creek and looked back at the others. "Nice to meet you Danny, Lumina, and Rachel. I'm Alexa and this here is Apolla." She pointed to her Vulpix as she sat down away from the creek. "Yeah it was rough with the rain and then the fire." She shook her head thinking about the day before turning to her dishes. Hearing them say what they were made her look back while holding a bowl. "Well if we're all telling what we are..... I'm a fire trainer. I specialize in fire pokemon." She finished the bowl and set it in the clean pot. She forgot a towel so she's have to dry them when she got back to her stuff.

User Image"That must be a lot of pressure though, to be a healer." Lumina's voice was that of both sympathy and admiration for the profession, "Don't think I'd do so well." She gave a short laugh at that, shaking her head. "So you're more of a traveling herbalist sort?"

Nodding in agreement, Lumina beamed, "Tomorrow should be quite interesting. So many curiosities around this whole thing. Today's events included." She frowned at the memory, still doubting that the fire could have scared that pokemon so badly when fire wasn't even a major weakness. Lumina might have been new to the watcher business, but it didn't take a scientist to see that the poor thing was scared witless. Perhaps she was reading too much into it. It could have been the shy type and just reacted poorly to so many people.

Lumina's eyes caught sight of the vulpix, making Lumian practically evolve herself into a giant sunbeam, "Oh she's adorable! Where did you find this one from?" She was surprised to hear the other girl's profession, "First time I've met a fire trainer. Is it like a trainer in the manner that you do battles and gyms and such still?"

He felt a bit out-classed as he talked about what he did. "I don't have my own pokémon yet, but I'm a Trainer in Luna's gym. She lets me use her pokémon for now, but I'd really like to start my own team someday. I haven't really decided whether or not I'm going to specialize in anything yet..." He was starting to have some trouble with the sticks and he noticed the lead line on the Ponyta he'd borrowed and got an idea. He set the sticks down in as tidy a bundle as he could manage and started unhooking the line. "Hope you don't mind," he whispered to her, not wanting to startle her. He used the line to tie up the first bundle of sticks.

Milo gladly handed over the poffins to the two pokemon. She loved to make new friends with people and pokemon alike. She always had a decent stash of berries and poffins on her due to Draco's love for them, bitter in particular.

She took the soup graciously. "Thank you!" She smiled and took a deep warming gulp that soothed her. "This tastes great! You're a really good cook."
PostPosted: Fri Jun 04, 2010 9:47 pm

User Image Both Felix and Sola happily munched the poffins, and Felix purred and rubbed against Milo in a shameless bid for more.

"Thanks!" Anise responded. "I gather most of the ingredients in the wild, same as the plants I use for medicines. So you could say I mainly cook organic." She ate a spoonful herself, savoring the vegetable-noodle soup. "Though grain-based foods, like noodles and oatmeal, I have to buy in town. Noodles don't quite grow on trees," she joked.

"To sum it all up, that pretty much how it is." Rachel nodded to Lumina. "It is hard to remember all of the information some times but it gets easier after a while. You would be better at it then you think." she laughed as she put another clean dish off to the side.

"Nice to meet you Alexa." Rachel said as he turned to the other girl next to her. "Your vulpix is so pretty, I can tell you take very good care of her." she smiled brightly as she barely kept herself from hugging the fire pokemon.

"Don't worry Danny, I don't have my own pokemon yet either." she threw a smile at him. "Is being a trainer at a gym as hard as they say?"

((@Mewrose and Ashes))

User ImageAfter Kary tossed the Safari Ball at the Meowth that got struck with the Iron Tail attack, she was stunned to see she actually caught it.

"I-... I caught my first Pokemon!" She shouted and jumped for joy. However, her heart sank quickly as she saw said Safari ball bouncing away into the dark. She looked back at Boss the Tauros for a split second, he looked like he'd keep the tent safe while she was gone, then dashed off after the missing ball.

It was dark and after a short bit of looking, Kary was very worried she would not find it. But suddenly, CRACK came the lightning strike that set the tree ablaze. Kary looked back to see what had happened, and she saw that the other trainers that had Pokemon who could handle this were doing so. Plus, the fire from the tree illuminated something spherical and shiny in the grass a few yards away: the Safari Ball! Quickly, the chubby trainer scooped it up and looked at it with awe. No more borrowing Pokemon from others to battle, she had her own! And what a bonus, it was a handsome Meowth!

Smiling widely, Kary strode back to the gathering of people and Pokemon in time to see the commotion with Abiba, and her smile slipped away. 'Poor little Raichu,' she thought, 'All lost and scared and hurt and missing its trainer...' The brown haired girl held the Safari Ball in her hand at eye level. 'I hope you weren't too mean to it... Even if it did Iron Tail you...' She hung around the group tending to the Raichu for a bit. Seems some of them, including the gym leader she'd run into earlier, knew the Pokemon. Kary figured she'd leave the lost Raichu to them for now, and went back to the tent she set up. When she got there, Boss was asleep, and good thing, too! He looked exhausted. 'Poor old man,' she thought, 'The riding today must have tuckered him out.' Little did she know, the wild bull Pokemon about had a panic attack during the fire. The last thing he wanted was a bunch of crispity humans! Leaving the rental Pokemon alone, Kary set to making herself a small dinner before wandering around the campsites, looking for a healer to check out the Meowth she caught.

After making her way back to the Purple Group, Kary saw the healer that had been treated the Raichu earlier eating dinner with another person.

"Pardon me," She asked Anise politely, "I hope I'm not interrupting, but I was wondering if I could trouble you to take a look at the Meowth I caught? I think he got hit with an Iron Tail attack, plus he looked confused..."

User Image"That's still pretty cool, Danny." Lumina prompted, "You get to have some early experience with the whole scene that way. I don't have any pokemon yet either." she nodded to Rachel with a grin, "Few of us do, actually."

She watched him tie the sticks, "Not bad. Though my rental is already asleep." Lumina chuckled, her arms nearly full but not feeling like returning just yet, "I don't think you have to rush in choosing what sort of team you want. I prefer to take things slowly and build up a close relationship with each at a time. Or at least, that's how I'd handle it come time for my team."
