C h a r l i e Okay I don't want this to sound horrible.. but it probably will.
I joined this guild in like 2005ish and left probably a year or so later.. and then re-joined early this year...
I worked my butt off the first day I re-joined to meet the post count sorting requirements so I could get back into the swing of things.
Then I thought maybe I can just start where I left off, so I posted in here asking KT if I can. She posted that, it would be fine because me comming back is proof that I want to be here.
Anyways. I've been waiting all this time to be added to a house list so that I can post in a common room without the fear that someone will ask why I'm there. But this hasn't happened. And then I was pmed finally today by Iceee and she was asking me if I was in gryffindor. < I'm assuming someone finally pmed me because Angil had said I was upset or something.
I'm tired of waiting.. someone just resort me so I can start over and forget all this damn nonsense. I realize keeping a guild is a lot of work... but I'm tired of waiting. +_ Thank-you Angil! _+

C h a r l i e : yeh i remember you used to be in the guild before and you did PM me a few times and I believe you that KT said you coud start where you left off, and if you don't remember where that was then whatever...resorting works too. Plus term is just about to start so it's not like a super inconvenient time to do it in.

Speaking on the resorting of C H A R L I E.
At the last count HUfflepuff had the fewest number of members...11. So we (the sorters) were sorting all the last minute people in to Hufflepuff. Now according to the block since Hufflepuff still has less members than everyone else, shouldn't Charlie be in Hufflepuff, not Slytherin?
By putting Charlie in Hufflepuff, their house numbers will be equal: 17.
Charlie: I had no way of knowing about that. If I had it would have been dealt with a lot earlier. When I found out about the members missing from the lists... I PMed them all.... Actually I saw you in Spinner's End, so I pmed you first.
What happened was that for a long time a few mods wouldn't communicate. So those who did know things probably forgot to mention it to the others. So Charlie had a right to be upset.

Well my suggestion is a kinda chart. Well (prepare for a long post)
What we do is under each letter (I'll make a copy somehow for you guys to see what I have) we put a month. Heck I'll put this in another post.
My final (no matter what) statement about the lists:
Over the summer, I was basically orchestrating things... I had a severe lack of information, so I passed that severe lack of information on to others who helped me. We went solely on the lists from the old Entrance Hall. Everyone was PMed if they never responded, or sent anything back to us, then that's not anyone of our faults. What we did took a lot of work. A few of the older members helped out (particularly Juni and Alutian) but their knowledge was limitted. I don't know if we're getting blamed for the list thing, but that's how it's coming across to me, and I know we don't deserve the blame. By 'we' I mean those who helped with the list.

OKay so the chart has 8 columns...2 rows. All we do is each month check the Guild Memberslist for our members to see their new total. We subtract from that new total the previous month's total to get the current month total. We do that for our 17/18 members and it'll be simple. Of course I say we get help with that. It's the Head's choice on whether or not they want to use prefects or other members in their house. We'll decide point totals to give out later. I'll have the largest list no matter what. Sample
(In the first column the name goes there)
Posts made by Month *SC means starting count.

So I got the SC and Total so far... I just subtract 10 from 97 and I get August's count. = 87

I know this will take a lot of work, but if each house should just be responsible for their house... then it can be done.
PS With this way you don't even need Excel. You can make a chart like Gaia.
PS Angil: I think we're asking for a lot of time from people's lives for nothing. We need to decide on what kind of "gifts" to give out to our heads for their help and time. This is a rush job ebcause I have to go to a meeting and I probably wont be on at all today.

Right. When does this count start? I'd like to have it begin on a certain day to keep the months nice and even.
Oh, and Geo Storm is back. Her username has been changed to G e o S t o r m. I've put her with the second year Ravenclaws because that's where she was when she vanished due to an exploding computer and visiting relatives "way up north". 3nodding

DDA and KTweirdchick aren't in the counts.... and wait a minute.. How is there that many? My last count actually said 16... and then one member might be going bye-bye.

Before I disregard anything I think you should know that the buffer applies only to first years, and should not ever try to compensate for the emount of members that have dropped out of school in later years. Also, she should under no circumstances been sorted into Hufflepuff by anyone because she answered the majority of the questions as a Slytherin. I think my Tally had maybe one or two points on Hufflepuff at the end of the test..Students sorted according to buffer may only be sorted into the house of the sorter's discression if they have a majority of answers that point to that house.
