((Well, Kayla and Shin-lu just ended their arena fight. Now Kayla's out of commission for a while because of her curse. Hope that helps.))

You'll never expect what you can't see...

((recap for the missing posts (starting with the last on the last page to the first displayed on this page). I too have no idea why most of these aren't showing up right now... Darn Gaia errors...))

Isaac continued to observe the match. 'It's too quiet.' he thought. Isabelle began to look around at the arena grounds, her tail shaking in worry.

Josh noticed the fight was nearing the end with the two girls he prepared his armor and took off any augmented weapons and armor. Then he said to him self "repair" just then his armor and weapons were completely fixed ready for the fight.

As the two girls stay in their spot, a nearby tree glows white and shatters into light dust which fades away. A green shockwave shot out and gently covered the field. Several trees that were hit by the shockwave repeated the actions of the first tree. Others merely glowed green with the border of the wave, only to fade back to their normal color and remain on the field. This provided just enough visibility to witness the full field from the stands, but no more - it was still heavily forested. The underbrush no longer remained to limit mobility.

Siom immediately noticed Kayla on wasn't in direct sight, and Shin-lu was tending to someone. Assuming the worst, he shoved Par'il out of the way and rushed down the stairs, shouting to the elf to, "Come on!"

Par'il, having already known of Kayla's fall, now noted the okay and rushed after Siom down the stands. Siom turned to go down some stairs along the arena's field. Par'il rushed the railing and launched off it into the nearby tree. Siom hurried to the forested boundary and struggled to make his way through. Par'il jumped from tree to tree to save time, landing in the overgrowth near them. Taking a few steps forward, he immediately knelled down near Kayla and began chanting his curing spell, "Aa' sina lamya en' maksa suula tela tanya man aa' harwa lle." As his hands glowed blue over, the unconscious female, he looked up to Shin-lu, "You... did not do this, did you?..."

With only enough time for Shin-lu to answer with a head movement and/or a quick 'yes' or 'no,' the bushes began rattling. Siom stepped through, viciously snapping branches and vines as he did so. "What happened? What'd you do? How'd she get hurt!?" He already knew what the answer was and that Shin-lu probably had nothing to do with it, there wasn't enough time for anything sufficient, but he was worried - panicked - and wanted something to blame. He knelt down next to her as well, seeing her condition. "Let's get her out of here and take her somewhere she can rest." With that, he gently lifted her up into his arms and began leading her out of the 'brush as gently as he could. Even though it was probably very obvious to a veteran, Siom didn't pause to tell Shin-lu she actually won this match. He didn't even apologize for his rash decisions and conclusion-jumping....

Par'il didn't move from his location. He only stood there next to Shin-lu as Siom carried Kayla off.

Graff stay in his place watching "... she was hit by an arrow, but I dont think that she was struck so hard... an arrow wound is painful but not so much as to make you fall, and she is a warrior, no doubt she has been hurt before, the only way to make a warrior fall so quickly with an arrow is if the arrow itself was poisoned or magic enhanced..."

Thailen moves over to Graff, on the way starting to talk when he was suer he was within earshot "It's the location and angle of the arrow that will cause the most damage, even a poisoned or magicked arrow hitting the chest won't do much, but if you hit between the ribs in the neck, it would be a very hard blow. Lucky, or unlucky shot"

Shin-lu had gotten the arrow out and bandaged Kayla, but that didn't seem to help much. She noticed Siom and Par'il coem into the arena, so the match was definitely over. Shin-lu shook her head at the notion that she could've possibly did anything. She picked up the nearby arrows and then put them in her quiver as she looked to Par'il. "So now what?" She asked. "Should I get Ilyana? Can she heal her?"

Isaac saw Siom carry Kayla from the arena grounds. He went to join them with Isabelle perched on his shoulder. "What happened to her?" he asked in concern. "It was her condition again." Mira piped up, turning a medium shade of red.

Par'il shook his head. "I do not know. In comparison to your friend Miss Ilyana, my magics are weak. I suppose anything might help. However, the condition of Kayla is not a normal ailment." He looked back up as Siom disappeared through a door in the arena with Isaac following close behind.

Siom, leading Isaac, carried Kayla to a sturdy bench just within the halls under the stands. He gently lay her on the long wooden seat. He heard Mira answer Isaac, before turning to ask the father something. "Tell me. She's had this curse for quite some time. How did you deal with it back in your village?"

Graff: "Ahhhh.. I see that you also have felt the bite of arrows..." after hearing what Siom, Par`il and Isaac are talking, "... but looks like the arrow by itself didnt do the most damage, looks like she has some kind of sickness..."

Isaac let out a sigh, trying to gather his thoughts. "Whenever the curse's power began to take effect on Kayla, her mother Windchaser would use an old healing spell that was passed down through her family. It temporarily prevented Kayla's condition from getting worse, lasting for about a week at the most." he replied. Isabelle chirped a few times in concern, her tail still shaking. "Oh, I hope she's alright." Mira said, somewhat worried as she looked at Kayla's current state. "Is there anything else you wish to know?" Isaac asked Siom.

"Well I hope both are ok" josh said sadly as he moved closer to the arena. He asked siom "is she ok?"

Graff approaches to the group "shouldnt carry her to a place where the healing magic works?"

((Sorry I hadn't responded, it took quite awhile between school to find these missing posts. Anyways, on to my response... heh.))

Siom seemed distraught by Isaac's answer. "No... there's nothing more." He continued to be lost in thought until Josh spoke. "Well, okay as she's been." He was suddenly stricken with an idea. He couldn't believe the response didn't come sooner. "Wait! Isaac! Do you know the spell - word for word - even if you can't perform the magic? We might be able to have a magic caster, here, use it!"

((Sorry to hear that thain! I'm sorry for not posting much guys, I'm sort of dealing with a minor case of writer's block. *sigh* Crud...))
"Yes, I do. Hopefully it will help." Isaac replied, looking over at his daughter with a somewhat worried expression. 'Please, hang in there my child.' he thought.

Shin-lu looked to Par'il for a short while before heading off to go help with Kayla. She motioned for Ilyana to come also.

Ilyana nodded and, after gathering up all her snacks, went and followed Shin-lu to where the others were taking care of kayla.

You'll never expect what you can't see...

Par'il, against his better judgment, decided to follow Shin-lu and Ilyana to where everyone else was. He didn't think he'd be much help, but he had no where else to go... Besides, his match would be coming up shortly anyways.

As Shin-lu, and more importantly, Ilyana, and Par'il stepped into the hallway, Siom looked up. "Ah! Just the magic casters I was thinking of!" Siom knew that Ilyana was one of the best magicians here. However, if the spell was in elvish, the elf would do.

Par'il instantly became nervous by that greeting. He knew it would again require use of a spell he hadn't used before - and he detested the thought of using spells he hadn't had practice with, especially after the recent failed sun spell...

((Yes it has sir IHYWAP. Oh, sorry for not posting lately. Are you guys still waiting for me to post or what?))

Isaac turned to see the other two people approach. "Hello miss Shin-lu." he said with a smile. He then turned his gaze towards the elf. "Hello, I don't believe we've met. I'm Isaac, Kayla's father." he said with a friendly smile.

You'll never expect what you can't see...

Par'il bowed to the man, "I am Paraiimil," he said softly. He looked to Kayla who was laying behind Isaac and Siom. "Is everything alright?"
