Raesha Sorry Shady, I don't know anything about auctions....good luck though. ^_^ Contests on the other hand... rofl Personally, with 100k total prize pot, I'd go with all pure. Or perhaps sealed letters for the smaller prizes. 40k 1st place, 20k 2nd, 10k 3rd, and have 6 smaller prizes (like most accurate, best chibi, best sketch, etc.) at 5k (or a sealed letter) each. Older letters are commonly used as prizes, but I feel that they don't draw in a many people. Sure, the couple artists questing for Kiki may be more inclined to enter, but to everyone else, the pure gold worth of the kiki is more appealing as they can apply that to whatever they like. :3 ....but that's just my opinion... that definetely sounds good^^. okay, when I'll finish my custom mpl quest, I'll start getting gold for the contest xD

I'd suggest linktrades with other contests... and in the R/C, too (most R/C shops will link contests). And then spam the R/C with bumps while you have a banner in your sig. XD

@Littledream: imho your banner looks a little.... dark. It's not appealing for me. Maybe you should put some color on it. =]

Happy birthday Nausicaa heart
Littledream: I would also give a tentative end date like "The contest will end March 30th but will be extended until at least x amount of entries are recieved."

While an open-ended contest might work best for you, many potential entrants will avoid such a contest as there is always the chance that it may never end, or may end before completion of thier entry. If an artist knows exactly when a contest will end, they can budget thier time and plan accordingly. Also, many people work best under time constraints, if they don't have a deadline, they feel no pressure to actually complete their entry. I think it's best to set at least a potential deadline. Add a disclaimer if you must--contest will be extended if x number of entries not recieved by deadline. 3nodding I think your current banner is really pretty, but I guess it's not real eye-catching though. Maybe this pic wo9uld make a good banner? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v326/YumehChan/Cain/CainbyLexemon.jpg Crop it around the face and butterfly, and put the text in the butterfly area? :3

I've been really lazy about advretising my contest. I think only linked with 3 people and I haven't been spending much time in R&C
