Finished a 2 character commission I've been working on! Well, part of it. I have this duo-portrait and then I have to do 2 full body shots of the characters.

I don't really have any art to show currently. Scannerless and tabletless at the moment.

So how about some poetry?

And I want to lie down
Beneath the heat
On the ground
Below the surface
I want to see things
From another view
A new perspective
Someone else's eyes
And I want to breathe in
Sweet breath of a lover
And feel emotions
That don't belong to me
I want to taste the air
Of another land
Another time
And I want to be free
From my restraints
My fear...my pain
I want to feel the weight
Of his body
The overpowering dominance
Of his presence
And I want to be removed
From my body
A mixture of his emotions
Strength
Intelligence
Scents
I want to be intoxicated
By his movements
His passion
I want to be held down
And at the same time
I want to be in control
I want to be his
But I want to be my own
And I want to tangle
The strings of his heart
And become intertwined
I want to be lost
In his touch
And I want to be
A part of him

A quilt for mah honey. ^_^ A suggestion he made which I'm sure he never thought I'd actually follow through on. rofl It will make a nice birthday suprise once it's finished, methinks. 3nodding

This is just 9 of the (will be) 70 blocks...so much left to sew. @____@;; Good thing I've got like 2 months left to finish. xp

The colors didn't photo well...the blacks are dark black, and the reds are very bright fire engine or cherry red. whee

Raesha, that's awesome. I so wish I could sew! I was going to make my little one a baby quilt and even got so far as to cutting out the fabric, but I haven't touched it in like a year because I'm at a loss when it comes to sewing! I did sew a few buttons on my husband's shirts this morning, but that's about my sewing extent. You'd think the granddaughter of a professional seamstress would be able to!

I help my mom sew quilts sometimes but I definitely don't have the paitence and can't sew in straight lines as well as that sweatdrop
So I definitely commend your efforts. Just wondering~ how big are each of those blocks?
