 Hey guys! I hope that you're all enjoying the Yule ball and the Gaia event!
Just so you all know, I was looking at the points that our house has gotten (Eep - Hufflepuff is only 30 points under us) and I noticed that we did receive a demerit for 'chat speak.' The guild prizes literacy - and each post must at least be a sentence or two - none of the text talk or anything like that, ok? I really don't want to get another demerit of lack of literacy on RAVENCLAW. The rules are slightly relaxed for the common rooms, but we should probably not use it that much in here either - set the habit for the entire guild, you know? BUT, the only place where there are not demerits are in the subforum 'Chatterbox.'

Could you list examples of "chat talk?"
Would "LOL", "Haha", smileys, and the latter be considered "chat talk?"
I think that it would really help if we could clear up and distinguish the difference between "chat talk" and what is considered "OK."

However, aside from the point deductions and the "chat speak" issues, I watched the Golden Compass today!
It was...OK.
I mean it wasn't all that great. It had adventure, but at the same time it felt a bit tedious and each minute was elongated...

But lastly, I thought that the ending was a bit...unsatisfying.
I realize that the Golden Compass is part of a trilogy, but I think that it was still a really inappropriate way to finish the movie.
Ah well, they'll learn hopefully...

Haha, that reminds me (I have no idea how these ideas are related but whatever... blaugh )
For my friend's birthday, I got a big chocolate cake which was basically a Devil's Food Cake with chocolate ice cream, a ganache (I think that's how you spell it...pronounced [gah nosh]), and chocolate rolls.

It was...rich and filling.
So what did you guys do or plan to do this winter season?

Are. You. Kidding. I typed this huge paragraph full of random stuff and then...the internet failed! -devours internet connection- -___- Okay, time to see if I can more-or-less recall it...Basically, I'm talking to you guys on a pitiful internet connection (as shown above) from a hotel. I ate a 2-and-a-half hour dinner which was quite painful because the dinner was mostly composed of sitting there, waiting for the food to come. Brilliant, huh. Wow, I'll be more careful to make sure I use proper English--after all, we're Ravenclaws...-starts typing without vowels- (haha) Do smileys count? There's so much holiday stuff I want to get! -hops up and down- But I suppose I'll need to wait. Until I earn another 25k -____-' Lol. Wait, you can't think of what? Grrr. This internet is a pain. -___-

Hello everybody!
I'm just poking my head in tonight...I hope all of you are enjoying the yule events and christmas events on gaia! I've been so busy with last minute christmas craze this past few days that I haven't had any time to really participate in them. I drove to the mall today and it was mayhem! Tomorrow I'm going to do the same thing...you all thing I'm crazy ne? I want to wish all of you happy holidays (just in case I don't come online anytime soon) I'm so happy that the manga series that I have been following...Hana Kimi, they finally confessed their feelings for each other! Finally...its the 21st volume so I guess theres 2 volumes left to go...April will be the last one! I am very sad and happy at the same time. crying

As for me, whenever I finish a good anime/manga, I just sit around and guess what?! I find another one that's really intriguing...=D

Gosh.. Lots have happened while I was away! I've been at my grandma the last few days now. So I only got to start the Christmas Event now! O:

We're gonna celebrate Christmas at my grandma's. Like we always do! *grins*
I know where the chat speak was discovered. I remember it, because the one that did it on a thread that I'd posted in.. She said something like "Movie! lol!" Or something similar. smile
And am I the only one that think that they've made the orphans a little too... bitter? eek
