Lore coughed a bit looking at the many other children who were there, "Well... there are far more children than when Kara and Donovan were here...."
He looked for Serenity for a moment.
"There are actually six children now. Offically."

Just then, Storm and Starr came running around the corner of the house, running for Elnara as if they were on fire.
Elnara blinked. She had never seen them move that quickly.
"WE DIDN'T DO IT!" they wailed together, heading for Elnara and hiding behind her legs, clinging to each other as if for dear life, trembling violently with fear.

Ulani's jaw dropped in shock at the sight of the two tiny angelic children who were so alike and yet so different, and who had traits of both Elnara and Lore. She had no idea what to think.
Ulrich paled. "Uh oh," he muttered. "What didn't you do?"

"What happened?" Lore finally asked blinking from what child to the next.
It was possible they just simply got into something they hadn't meant to, but somehow he thought it was more serious than that.

Elnara reached down and picked up her two quivering children and held them close, trying to calm them down, just as Celebor came around the corner of the house.
He was running, but not very quickly - and he wasn't panicked at all, he seemed excited. "Mommy! Lore! Come here! Come see what Storm and Starr did!" he called excitedly. "Come on, other peoples! Nako! Come see come see!"
He grabbed Ulani's hand - since she was closest to him, even though he didn't know who she was yet - and started tugging her towards the back of the house.

Ulani followed the boy, looking at Elnara and Lore over her shoulder. "I'm guessing this one is Celebor?" she laughed. "He's exactly like Kara said he was."
Ulrich rose to his feet to follow them as well, both worried and intrigued.

"We better follow," Lore murmured to Elnara gently tugging her arm, "Though," he admitted, "I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing."
Since Celebor seemed to be excited and not at all worried about what just happened.

Elnara nodded and followed after Lore. She would have taken his hand, but her arms were full with the twins, who seemed as if they were trying to hide their faces in her shoulder. They were still trembling, and she was more worried about them than she was about what they might have done. All she could do was hug them closer.
Celebor brought them all to the back of the house, where he pointed at the river that ran through the valley. But there was something odd going on at the river.
"It's raining in just one spot!" Celebor giggled. "Look!"
And indeed, in just one small area just above the dock that went partially out over the river, it was raining. There was no cloud, the rain was just falling out of the air a few feet above the dock. Skye and Serenity were standing just beyond the rainfall's reach, watching it and laughing.
Storm and Starr burrowed further into Elnara's arms, still whimpering that they hadn't done anything.

Ulani and Ulrich stared at the ... rain. Ulani was speechless, but Ulrich looked back at the twins and asked, "You're sure you didn't do it?"

"Wow..." Lore murmured staring at the rain that was appearing out of nowhere, "It's not techically a bad thing, it's just new."
Just magic in otherwords, and perhaps making it rain without clouds was unusual, but otherwise... well as they say, it's Gaia. There were worse things.

Elnara watched the rain curiously, still holding the twins close. She wondered if it had anything to do with the other strange phenomena that occurred sometimes when they were playing, such as the wind that sometimes whistled through the cafe, or the way the fire in the fireplace sometimes jumped, and she had to quickly use her own gift to take control of it.
She stroked their backs reassuringly and lifted them a little higher so that she could speak to them softly.
"What happened?" she murmured, avoiding any wording that might have implied that she believed it was their fault - though to be honest, she saw no fault anywhere in the event. It was intriguing, really.
The twins looked up at her, their milky eyes moist with tears. It was Storm who began the explanation. "We were just playing-"
"-with the strings!" Starr finished for him, her lower lip trembling. "They were so-"
"-pretty, we wanted to tie them up!" Storm rubbed at his eyes and sniffled. "And then it-"
"-just started raining!"

Ulani and Ulrich exchanged a glance. Strings?
"What strings?" Ulani murmured softly to Ulrich.
Ulrich shrugged, then glanced at Lore. "Do you have any idea what they're talking about?" he asked, one eyebrow raised with curiosity.

"Not really sure, there's a lot of literature on strings that people cannot see," Lore mused thoughtfully, "Depending on which strings you're talking about they can affect people, fate, or nature. Though it's rare people to be able to manipulate them, but not unheard of."
It was possible that was what the twins were doing.
"Normally people with second sight or a seer could see them, depending on their abilities."

Elnara looked at Lore curiously, surprised by his shared information. But she looked down at the twins and asked them, "What strings do you mean?"
Both of them blinked up at her and simultaneously pointed off in each direction. "There and there," Storm said, looking at his mother as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
"And there and there and everywhere," Starr added, pointing in other directions.
"But not inside so much," Storm went on.
"No," Starr agreed. "But outside here there are lots of them!"
"There's lots at home by the fountain," Storm said thoughtfully, looking at Starr.
Starr nodded, looking back at him. "And there are some by the fountain at the cafe," she pointed out. Neither of them were really paying attention to anyone else anymore, really - they were mostly just discussing between themselves.
Elnara looked at the others, bewildered.

"Strings, threads... all text say most can't see them," Lore explained thoughtfully, "So I guess.. they have a bit of second sight... I wonder what else they can see," he asked retorically.
That was a good question actually, since they were so quiet it was no surprise they didn't know before.
