Ravana answered his adversary with a hearty laugh. Was this guy serious? They had only just gotten to their peaks and he was talking about how little a chance Ravana stood. Riiiight.

"Face it 'Your Highness,' I'm not faltering. No matter what you may think of yourself, you are not the superior fighter here. We may both be at our absolute peaks, but if you want to look at it statistically, stage for stage, anything you can do means nothing compared to me. You have resolved to transform into perhaps the most dangerous form of Saiya-jin known to our people just to beat me and you still undermine me like some subordinate?" He laughed at the though, his voice roaring throughout the jungle. It made him laugh to think that User had gone this far and still thought himself some sort of superior warrior. The fact that as a Ginoozaru, Ravana was on par with this Legend among his people seemed to suggest otherwise.

With the surprising speed that caught most off guard when they saw such an enormous creature moving amount, the golden ape fired a building sized ki blast and followed it up with an incredibly swift falling hammer punch. The size of his fist would be practically unavoidable unless his foe was already on the move from his warning shot. Otherwise he'd be buried somewhere underground in about another nanosecond.

Finally he was getting serious, though apparently he was so desperate for that precious sword that he was practically shrieking like a child on the telepath channel.

She braced herself as he raced in for her, and though it surprised her that he didn't teleport, the fact that he didn't only meant that had more time to react than she otherwise would. His right fist coming for her, she answered by stepping to her right side so that his first punch went harmlessly by. His second punch was coming in like an uppercut, and no sooner than his fist connected with her abdomen, to which she hardly flinched, would her left fist simultaneously meet his right jaw, though her punch came much swifter and much stronger. He had the choice of standing his ground and losing his jaw or sprawling into a thicket of trees from the force.

She should probably just try to choke him. He obviously wasn't the type to be crippled and left for dead.

User answered Ravana's massive ki blast with a much smaller one of equal power. Size didn't matter. The guy was just showing off. The two beams met and exploded. He'd have to go through that explosion to get through him - the Golden Oozaru was too big to avoid it. And in the end, that was Oozaru's greatest weakness - you gained incredible power but in the end, you were just one big target.

The Saiya-jin Prince moved just centimeters out of Ravana's punch, way too close for call. User then moved with all his speed to behind the great ape and fired off a dozen of kienzans at him - mostly at his tail, the source of the transformation. He was somewhat curious to why Ravana could do this transformation without the aid of a moon - but questions were for later. User sped off and away from Ravana, firing a few more kienzans at him. User needed to keep the distance from the Golden Oozaru. His fists were really big, after all.

Of course Ravana fell straight into the explosion, but you might as well have thrown a brick at his massive pinky. Okay that wasn't true, but it was about as effective in the overall scheme of things.

Ravana could hear excessively better now, if nothing else, and the incoming kienzan weren't beyond his decibel range. Rather than risk missing one by batting them away, he simply answered them all by lining his tail with a barrier of ki. The kienzan reacted violently to his energy and exploded before it was able to slice through, and Ravana in turn was now otherwise occupied.

He was a large target indeed, but he was still incredibly agile. He rushed in for User again, clapping his hands together when he was in range to smash the tiny frame. Should he actually capture him, he'd proceed to rubbing his hands together, his palms grinding roughly on the Legendary Saiya-jin before casting him down to the ground to step on like an ant.

Ravana missed again - but only by centimeters again. User landed on the man's hands and proceeded to run up to his head within a nanosecond. As soon as he had landed onto the man's grinding hands, he had charged up another ki beam. It had meant to be thrown at the great ape but he was quite the swift one. Instead he kept charging it and pushed even more power into it.

At the very end of this nanosecond, User was at the head and unleashing a incredibly overcharged purple beam into what should have been one of the Golden Oozaru's weak points - ear. The beam was unleashed and guided slightly for the Oozaru eardrum. The Prince was no idiot - he knew human, Saiya-jin, Oozaru, Golden Oozaru, and a thousand other alien biologies. The first four he knew perfectly by know since they were usually his biggest threat. The beam went right for the eardrum to injury, infuriate, and hopefully once again disorientate him. Each would serve a purpose of making him less able to fight.

But User didn't stay to admire his handiwork, knowing full well to keep the distance again since it gave him more time to act. He was off again, firing a few more kienzan blasts at the beasts tail again. These were slightly stronger though probably still not strong enough to break through that barrier if it was still up. The great ape still had one good ear but a damaged eardrum could cause problems with hearing, which would be useful to the Prince.

This time Ravana was not to be caught unawares. User was moving swift, but not too swift, and the large ape decided to let him get into a false sense of security with his foolish assault before launching one of his own.

No sooner did User fire the purple beam into Ravana's ear would he see a larger, stronger beam coming from the very place he wanted to attack; the ear drum. It was very rare for that part of his body to be large enough for such an attack, but he was a master of energies and that meant he could fire beams and blasts of energy from any part of his body. He was actually entertained that he was able to focus on his ear drum to pull such an attack off.

Now User had about only another nanosecond to avoid his blast or succumb to its force and be inevitably blown away. Ravana cared not because he had his massive arm lifted up near his ear to catch his tiny play thing the moment he chose to flee. Not so close that User couldn't escape, but close enough to trap him if he didn't notice it sitting there.
PostPosted: Sat Jul 14, 2007 12:02 pm

His armor and right shoulder caught the edge of the beam, burning away his protection and burning his flesh somewhat. Easily ignorable. So the guy could pull off energy attacks from his ear? Interesting, indeed. He was able to precisely control his ki from any point of his body. User had to admit that was a fantastic ability.

The Saiya-jin Prince more easily avoided the massive arm and stilled managed to fire off a few of those kienzans. After all, how can you miss a giant fuzzy arm? Especially when it was golden in color?

The cupped his hand back and shrugged them forward for a Kamehameha. He fired it at the palm of the hand. It wasn't going to do much of anything probably except buy him a few moments to get away once again.

His back hit the base of a tree roughly, but with hardly enough force to damage it. The fist that was aimed at his face however had more than enough power however and he was only just fortunate enough to avoid it. The adolescent foot in his back though, he couldn’t get around. He stumbled forward, glad his spine was made of stronger stuff because that hurt like hell. Wheeling around counterclockwise, his left arm stopped a second kick from turning the back of his skull into powder.

His reflexes were probably as close to top form as they could be right now. Everything seemed to actually be moving rather slow for him. What seemed to take seconds took far less, and even though he could pretty much see everything happening, he was having some trouble keeping up still. His right fist impacted Luke’s face right over the nose and despite the force, he only fell back by about five feet, only to rise back to his feet as though it were nothing.

Mani on the other hand was a bit more difficult. Not only was he noticeably shorter than Keno, but also swifter. He was like a mini Deity with that speed, but being a child he was also less predictable. Every time he tried to get his hands on the little b*****d, he slipped through his fingers and before he could restore himself he was being kicked in the back of the knee, sucker punched in the face, jabbed in the gut, or any other number of quick strikes to keep him unstable so that Luke could move in and exploit his lack of composure. It was honestly a bit infuriating.

Thankfully, Vali had a bit more mercy. This relieved Keno, but also strongly disturbed him. How good a fighter was Vali? Was he nearly as good as he let on by standing back while his entourage did all the work? It was likely for show, but he couldn’t be sure that this dark man, gazing at him and his colleagues so indifferently wasn’t dangerous. A couple of times Keno thought he saw Vali move, but if he ever did it wasn’t to attack.

A shin struck him in the stomach and he was suddenly at a loss for air as his body went soaring through trees, bouncing off of some, crashing through others and finally hitting the ground with the least graceful slam. He got up soon enough and stopped Luke from performing an encore, but while his hands were busy swinging him around, Mani came again and scissor kicked him from the knees down, causing the three of them to fall into a jumbled mess.

Struggling to his feet, he kicked Luke up like a soccer ball, grabbed him by the hair and slammed his knee into the pretty boy’s face. It seemed to him that the constant assaults to the face infuriated Luke, which wasn’t exactly a good thing because despite his lack of word usage, his punches kept getting harder. Less accurate and precise, but they hurt like hell the longer this fight went on. Keno didn’t know how mad this man was, but if he had to guess, if Luke was a one at the beginning of this fight, then right about now he was pushing six or seven.

Tossing Luke aside gave him just enough time to have at it with Mani, each warrior exchanging punches and kicks without much concern for defending themselves. Of course this gave the feline an advantage as his limbs were longer. His extended reach was able to hold the boy at bay a bit, reducing the number of actual attacks he had to endure. In the end, a sound shot to the kid’s jaw stunned him long enough for a knee to the gut, a fist to the back, and a heel to the mouth before the preteen had to pause for breath.

Luke was pissed though and again he found himself struggling for breath. Despite his lack of style, this pansy boy knew how to throw a punch and Keno found himself on the receiving end of an assault much like the one he had just given Mani. Needless to say he was in pain, and as soon as he was given a moment, a sheet of Mineral lined up under his exterior layer of skin. It wasn’t the best defense, but he wanted to keep his abilities as subtle as possible unless he knew they weren’t gonna miss. Why did they not finish him off now? This was the third time now that he had been left gasping for breath, and yet not one of them would give the final blow. Wasn’t that their job?

Rising to his feet, he caught Luke’s right fist with his own right hand. Twirling under it and twisting Luke’s right arm, the feline moved in immediately to break the arm at the elbow. Before he could though, he noticed that Mani was coming in fast. Like and arrow, the boy’s left foot would likely knock him unconscious, being caught so unprepared. Better Luke than him he thought as his entire upper body dispersed and retreated as he watched Luke, flabbergasted, spin in the air from his own accomplice’s strike. Mani too stood in temporary disbelief as he tried to make sense of what had happened.

Lifting his hand quietly, Keno prepared a piercing beam to cut straight through the boy’s heart. Before he could act on the impulse he felt himself fall to his knees. He didn’t know what part of him had been hit – his entire body was sore – but his body wasn’t blasting any alarms. He wasn’t fatally wounded or anything. Turning his head to the right, he noticed Vali standing silently behind him.

Vali had to respect the man. He was one hell of a warrior, that much was for certain, but at the same time, fighting off against the kid and the least motivated of the group may or may not have meant much at all. KenoTao was still alive though and doing rather well. Up until now, Vali just wanted to see what it was Keno was capable of, but he was sorely disappointed in what he had learned for it seemed to him that the feline was an adaptive fighter. He was at a disadvantage now only because he had to keep swapping between a sporadic twelve year old and a narcissistic bum as fighting mates. Despite their strengths over him, neither had the proper mentality to actually defeat KenoTao, let alone kill him.

This was why he was so fated to step in. The assignment was not to fight, but to kill, and if they continued to fail, it would only prove to be more difficult later. Being one to try and eliminate his targets quickly, sparing them the burden of suffering through slow deaths, he had waited to see if maybe the other two could wear him out, but Mani was much too busy having fun and Ravana, Jagan, and Raion hadn’t returned yet. Apparently this lot of fighters had been underestimated if they weren’t yet taken care of. A minor setback.

He actually did feel some remorse as he placed his left hand on KenoTao’s left shoulder, pinching a nerve near the base of the neck so that he wouldn’t try and resist. The man was a criminal though and despite his infectious personality, Vali could not afford to be so personally involved. Killers could be just as charming as playboys if they so pleased, some even better at it. They all had their own opinions of their actions, those they had transgressed, and those they would. Left alone, they were much too destructive. Better that they be dealt with than left to their own devices.

When KenoTao looked at him, there was an expression of shock on his face, as though he personally felt that Vali had performed some underhanded scheme. He did not rightly think it was anyone’s place to judge how he dealt with his assignments. Were KenoTao to just accept his fate, instead of struggling so violently for a few last moments of daylight, Vali would have been more than glad to slice his throat open, disembowel him, or even remove his head entirely so that maybe he wouldn’t suffer long. He would have died with dignity at least, but now he was just going to die. It mattered not to Vali.

A simple gesture told Mani to stand back and Luke came forward. He watched silently as the blonde man approached his left and held his right palm out at Keno as though to anoint him. A large amount of energy began to grow throughout his entire arm. With his face so sore, he’d likely have just kept blasting at the man’s head until he was dead. Vali however did not approve of such an approach. The first shot would be the last so he had to be sure there was no way Keno could survive.

The blast of energy could and would have killed KenoTao had it not been for a green shield appearing in the way. Projected from his ring finger, the green shield energy construct was shaped like an old Roman shield used by those ancient legionnaries. As the energy beam attempted to destroy his construct, the shield reflected it up towards the sky and away from anyone.

The construct orginated from Calvin Nicolas. He was dressed in something that made him look like he had jumped out of a World War II fighter plane. His shirt was well fitted black shirt and over that was a brown work harness, it seemed. And over that was a brown-and-white flight jacket that resembled the A1 flight jacket of WWII fame. His pants were pretty normal, just a pair of dark brown cargo style with a black leather belt to help keep them on. His boots were dark brown combat boots and he wore black gloves with holes cutout for his fingertips. The final piece of appreal was a brown cloth-leather aviation helmet along with aviation styled goggles that were currently covering his eyes.

But there were odder details. He was outlined with a green energy field. On his right hand, on the ring finger, was a simple looking green ring with a lantern-like design on it. However, in his left hands was a green, metal lantern that glowed with a green light inside of it. He held it by the connected handle.

"Unit 97 bioengineered weapons. This is an illegal action not sactioned by the United States military forces. You are to stand down. I have been authorized by my superiors to bring you in - dead or alive," Said the man with the green outline. He hoped to spare them. He didn't want to kill anyone today. Even if they were part of a rival team for super secret military programs. He could care less about that. Calvin wanted to save lives, not end them. He was doing this because he was ordered to - and Calvin was a good soldier when it didn't conflict with his personal morals. Because deep down inside, knowing that he these new superpowers and thus new repsonabilities, he wanted to be a superhero - even if that sounded sort of silly, that's what he wanted to do now. Save people from normal threats and 'super' ones.

"Party's over, guys. Everyone go home."

"I'm afraid you are mistaken," Vali answered kindly, knowledgeably, and most importantly calmly, the same as he always spoke, "but we were in fact given orders by the United States military forceto eliminate this man before he became a larger global threat than he is now." Of course he had no idea who this man was or what unit he was from, and it irked him just a bit to think that he had somehow gathered enough information on them. Then again he referred to the three of them as 'Unit 97' which seemed suggest he didn't know case specific information.

His appearance was archaic to put it nicely. Old would be another term. Nothing on him looked older than 1945, and though vintage was a fashion, this was damn near fanatic. Ultimately he wasn't pleased. The man had interrupted their mission on the grounds that it wasn't a government sanctioned action and he had addressed them as 'weapons.' Though Vali would not contest that they were technically weapons, he still thought of himself as a person first.

Backing away from KenoTao and approaching the source of the new obviously powerful defense mechanism that had protected him, Vali intended to speak on behalf of his entire Unit.

"My name is Vali and I was assigned this mission two months ago. I'm sure if you don't mind going through proper procedure I can arrange for you to speak with The Doctor. He can sort the entire matter out later. For now though, please do not interfere. We're almost done as you can see."

Calvin grumbled. He saw things as they were then - one secret unit trying to take a bit out of another secret unit. It was about money, wasn't it? It was always about money with those old fools. So they hadn't told the whole truth - or maybe they didn't know. It was the first one, wasn't it?

None of that matter now, though. They were going to kill a man - KenoTao, as he was known. One of those 'ki warriors'. Flew through the sky, fired energy beams of incredible power. This one had destroyed a city and while that didn't mean Calvin particularly liked him - he wasn't going to let anyone kill anyone today if he could help it.

"Hm. Alright then, fellas. So now we have a problem. You want to kill this 'person of mass destruction'. But I have a particular disdain of people killing each other. Which means I don't want kill you either. We also have conflicting orders from two conflicting military super-secre units. So... where does this leave us?"

Cal knew where it left them - these 97 guys were going to try to take him now, as well.

He looked rather troubled at this news. It seemed that regardless of the circumstances at hand, this man was determined to carry out his duty. Though Vali had no problem with that, as serving your duty was the most respectable thing you could do, the fact that this newcomer's obligations conflicted with his own had him in a bit of a bind he didn't want to be in.

"I'm afraid that given the situation I will have to ask your patience. You have been charged to take us dead or alive. While I offer no resistance whatsoever, I'm sorry to inform you that I must carry out my primary objective before I can comply."

"Oh come now Vali, it would work out for everyone. Green guy here completes his mission, you have a convenient excuse to stop pursuing me, and most importantly I live!" Keno had appeared stage left seemingly and threw his arm over the fighter pilot cosplayer. Apparently he was back, or still, in high spirits and the grin on his face said as much.

"Person of mass destruction. I like that," he said cheerfully at his savior as though they were old friends. "Did you make that up or is that an official government term that only a handful of people know about? It's pretty damn clever I think."

He gazed at Keno blankly, feeling stupefied. Why did not Luke or Mani contain him while they had him? Turning to face them, both looked rather idle. Mani was staring as though confused, and Luke was obviously more concerned with the nose he swore up and down to himself was broken, though Keno barely made his eyes water in the grand scheme of things. He'd have glared at them both, but there was no point in getting so upset about this.

"Please retreat and as soon as we're done we'll come with you peacefully."
PostPosted: Sat Jul 14, 2007 3:55 pm

Calvin had folded his arms before KenoTao put his arm around him. The man... interesting. Not something you expected from one of the most deadly beings on Earth. A green construct emerged from the power ring, forming as a normal sized hand that brushed KenoTao off of him.

"Stop that," Cal told the man. He wasn't annoyed with him - Cal just didn't like having anyone hanging all over him like that. Unless they were women, of course, "And that is an official government term. I have to agree - it's clever but also precise." He didn't remark on KenoTao's suggestion outloud, but he did silently admit to himself that he liked that idea a good deal.

He spoked up now to Vali, "I'm sorry, but I just can't do that. My orders, I'm afraid. I won't kill you if I can avoid that, but I will incapitate you if you attempt to continue your fight," It was both orders and personal morals. But as a soldier, he wasn't suppose to admit it, acknowledge it, and certainly not act on it. He was here to do a job, like a good little soldier, "Come on. Just go. No need for bloodshed."

He sighed, greatly upset with the turn of events, and for a moment seemed to be relenting. He backed away slowly as Mani and Luke approached him, casting them both quick glances before looking off toward KenoTao and his rescuer. Part of his was frustrated. They were actually almost done when this guy showed up, and now it seemed they would have to start all the way over, this time with an unwelcome guest.

"I'm terribly sorry," he said with grave sincerity, "but you have your orders and we have ours. Though I'd rather not kill you, we will have to subdue you until our mission is complete. Mani. Luke." The other two obeyed without a thought. Mani swept in like a tiny flash of lightning to knock Calvin's feet from under him while Luke came plummeting down feet first to bury the man's head in dirt.

Vali himself turned his attention to KenoTao, whose face was now much more grave than it had been a moment ago. It seemed that both of them understood very well how this was not going to turn out. They were both still going to have to fight it seemed. Unfortunately, he was no more sure of how to approach KenoTao than the other way around.

So the two stared each other down, Vali not wanting to rush things, and Keno not wanting to die. Both were so wary at each other that the battle of wills was likely to be more intense than the actual fighting.

::That one is a little harder to avoid. Caught by his side and thus unable to rotate further into the air, the Orinian seems helpless to even defend himself at first, curling his body as much as possible in a last ditch effort to lessen the force. Jagan's headbutt hits him before his knees can lift (lower?), the tall boy being blown backwards by the power of the blow. He is immediately stricken by a second force - it's quite the familiar one, known to any amateur as a kiai. To the human eye merely a blur of distorted space since his initial advance, Deity bolts backward and into the ground dozens of meters away.

The impact sends entire trees into the sky as if a bomb has gone off, miscellaneous debris thrown about like shrapnel. The time passing between Jagan's successful blow and the Tonepian's rebound being called a wait would be a joke; upon hitting the ground, Deity has turned himself right side up by bringing his legs down and forward, knees to his chest. In essence, upon reaching the freezing forest floor, he kicks it to not only trigger that heavy impact, but his swift bounce back to Jagan. It is during this instant that he takes note of the ki signatures of the others. None are particularly spectacular - minus those of Unit 97 - though two in particular are of interest. User, and the Saiya-jin he faces. Their powers are considerably higher than normal.

The Prince seems to be using the form he took against Fierce some years ago; impressive, no doubt. Even more impressive is the sheer power generated by the other warrior's form, whatever it is; more powerful even than the Super Saiya-jin Oozaru transformation taken by Deity's love not so long ago. Then, finally, he can sense Father. Drawing ever closer and keeping his ki down, Sir Aaron shouldn't be far from Kirra now - she'll want to fight. Deity would take the time to dissuade her, but there's no use...it's Kirra, for crying out loud. His only hope is that Jade stays out of it - she's arguably less than half as strong as Kirra is, and wouldn't last as long.

Anyway, back to Jagan.

Upside-down again but this time flying horizontally, the quiet Orinian looks no worse for wear just yet, the front of his body facing skyward as he closes in on his adversary. Curled left arm at the side of his chest, Deity's right is extended far behind him, bare open palm reared back as though about to spike a volleyball sideways. He releases his large attack before getting too close lest Jagan counter it unexpectedly - and a large attack it is. The tall boy swings his arm, stops, and rotates clockwise to right himself all in the same motion, his arm slashing across at chest level; all at once, just over one hundred glowing orbs of energy blast from within the arc of energy created in the wake of the Tonepian's swinging aura.

All about the size of a human head, the horde of ki balls soars through the air just as fast as the one who made threw it, all aimed for Jagan and the area immediately surrounding him. At his near-breathtakingly powerful Level Four, attacks of this size require almost no charge time, so Jagan would fail to see it coming from that standpoint - then again, a single one of these could level a city block. While it poses no threat to the planet itself, the boy's attack is clearly going to leave this part of the forest nothing but a field of marred dirt. He can fix any damage caused by Unit 97, himself and his friends - if he lives - so he has no reason to hold back.::

Oh please, he was new to using this ring but he wasn't stupid. As the one named Mani came close enough he positioned himself in the right in front of him to kick in him face while also making sure he took flight. Cal was amazed at how fast they were - at fast he could be now.

He was equally amazed he could kick someone. Calvin had fallen on his head once during a military field test of an experimental jetpack. ******** thing shut down in midflight and he wasn't able to get it off in time to use his parachute. Landed on his head - and something happened to his motor cortex in his brain that left his legs useless. This ring was the only thing keeping able to use them now. Among other abilities.

This ring operated on the power of the man's will and was energized by the green lantern he carried with him. It was also omnidirectional - he didn't need to swing his arm at someone and use the ring unless he was firing directly from the ring's point in a gun-like manner. Instead, Cal willed a sword construct, specifically a long rapier with an ornate handle and hilt, to life and shot it at Luke's chest as he came in to smash Cal's face into the Earth.
