The woman cocked her head slightly as the dagger flew through her and pinned itself in a nearby tree.
"You do not remember Kaz, do you?" She said softly. "You do not remember everyone you've sent to the next world? You should. It was your men that killed me."

Lux watched the dagger quiver as it buried itself in the tree she had just been sitting under.
Good thing I moved, she thought to herself.
Lux noticed that Xitha had moved to join them, and that the other mage had disappeared. She looked at the other woman questioningly.

"Well you probobly had it coming." Kax spotted Tochi's Sword Ceres. lying on the ground he walked over to it and picked it up. The blade was a bane to all not of this world. certanly if he hit this spirit with it She would be banished.

The anti-mage flew though Kax's body. a black shield went up ant he began to charge.

Xitha gasped.
Well, no wonder she's able to visit the mortal plane! Xitha thought as she watched the spirit approach Kax.
Hell, if I were her I would have driven him mad by now, she thought uncharitably as she watched the Shadow throw his dagger through the spirit's body.

Xitha caught Lux' glance and said, He disappeared. I don't know why. He's definitely still alive though, damn it.

"Beloved..." Shinta whispered, tears running down his cheeks. He looked in fury at Kax. "She did not deserve it. I did. Your men killed her to get to me."
Natsuko glided to Shinta and gave him a gentle kiss like the touch of fog. "I love you Shinta. I trust that you will always do what is right and good."
Shinta nodded back, and she faded from sight. However her presence overshadowed Shinta as it always had, undetectable to all but him.

Lux watched as the woman faded from sight, then turned her attention back to Kax.
Damnit! she thought as she hurled a dagger at the charging form.
Where's Tochi? We could use his help here! she thought, considering the odds.
One badly wounded swordsman, one adept mage, one bounty hunter, and a golden retriever against this... bright pink mage thing.
Not good odds...

Kax was almost to him when he skided to a stop, headless. Tochi stood with his sword out strait. His brother's head flying behind him. He dropped to his knees. he put his hands to his face and began shaking.

Natsuko faded just Kaz charged, so that he hit nothing but empty air.
A tear ran down Shinta's cheek. "Have you never loved another soul besides yourself that you would harm even the dead?"

She instantly knelt beside him, her hand on his shoulder.
