Sadism is one thing that came easily to Drac'rad as his anger continued to dominate his mind. He took little pleasure in simply killing anything; what he truly enjoyed was killing his enemies in the most painful ways imaginable. Assassinations and stealthy murders were certainly a skill, but what Drac'rad did...that was an art that very few others possessed.

He spotted his first victim, a wounded Dremora Caitiff, attempting to flee across a wooden bridge that connected two of the mountains in the Jerall, and smirked evilly: surely his victims wouldn't all make his task this simple. Shifting his bow into his left hand, he summoned a weak fireball in his right palm and hurled it at the Dremora.

It struck the creature in the square of its back, destroying the bridge below it as its armor melted and plastered itself to the Dremora's back. Its instinct to arch its back in pain merely made its situation worse, since the snowy climate of the Jerall cooled the metal almost instantly. The Dremora did successfully move its back away from the searing cuirass, but all of the skin that the cuirass had been melted into was torn off in the process.

To make matters worse -- or more amusing, in Drac'rad's eyes -- the area below the bridge was a valley filled with huge pillars that had been eroded to sharpened points. The Dremora was impaled through the stomach by the natural spikes, but it didn't die. It slid down far enough from the tip to keep it from escaping, but not far enough to kill it instantly. It was stuck, struggling to get to the top of the spikes. Drac'rad stood there for a few seconds, laughed loudly, and went back the way he'd come in search of more prey as the Dremora's pitiful screams died away.

He walked along a narrow path on the edge of one of the mountains, still thousands of feet away from the foot of the mountain, and he didn't get far before he saw a shadow out of the corner of his eye. It was a fleeting image, but he turned to his left and found himself looking at a Churl Mage who had already launched a fireball in his direction.

The spell slammed into his chest, clearly the most powerful and destructive ability the Churl possessed. The front of his shirt burned instantly, and Drac'rad was forced backward until he was barely standing on the path, his heels dangling out over the steep edge of the mountain.

He nocked and fired an arrow that pierced the Churl's heart, but the Churl launched a bolt of lightning before it died, and Drac'rad found himself unable to dodge out of the way. The spell slammed into his chest and sent him soaring out into the air with no way to save himself. He hadn't been able to levitate since he'd made his trip to Akavir, and he just fell.

As the last of the Dremora are hunted down and slaughtered, Boethia, Talos, Mephala, and Stendaar return to the Camp.

((This is your cue to return to the camp. Seeing as how two of my characters are dead and Drac'rad's condition is unknown, this seemed like the the best way to get the plot rolling again.))

Orgim and Virnya had just arrived at the camp carrying Kinas's body when they noticed the soldiers returning to the camp. "Wonder if he'll ever wake up..." Orgim mumbled to himself as he set Kinas down. "I wish he wouldnt put himself in so much danger all the time..." Viryna whspered, her voice tinged with an icy coolness.

Kinas spat blood out. His own blood. "You...You...You damnable creature...." he sputtered. "Ah, still clingling to life, are we? pitiful, so pitiful. You might as well give up. You're gonna die whether you like it or not." the vampiric lord said, afterwards bursting into a evil laughter. "What you dont realize...is that...is that I...Am a vampire you foolish creature!" Kinas shouted, throwing a huge fireball straight at the vampire. The fireball hit the vampire directly in the chest, and the vampire could only mutter a few words, "But...you...were...just...a...nor....normal...high elf a moment...ago....". "Yes, I was, but, the disease finally pulled my body into vampirism right before I lost all life." Kinas said. "Well done, well done indeed, my brother." said an icy cool voice from the shadows.

"VIRNYA!" Kinas shouted and snapped straight out of his trance. Both Virnya and Orgim jumped in surprise. "My sister, is that really you?". "Yes my brother, it is I. No! Lay back down. We dont want your wounds to reopen." Virnya said. Kinas laid back down on his back, and Orgim said "Damn you Kinas! I thought you were dead for sure!". Heh, old friend, you should know better. I always have precautions set. Now, I must sleep...When I wake, I wish to talk to Drac'rad wherever he may be..." after that, Kinas fell into a deep sleep.

Elizabeth emerged from the darkness, an exellent talent for surprising enemy forces, but this was not the case, she had only returned to the manor of her master for reason, revenge. She had been searching for the perfect weapon for her master's murder, and she found it; one of 10 remaining Deadric Cresent Blades. She snuck into the house, slitting the butler's throat without a sound. She caught his body before it hit the ground, she didn't want the "master" to know that she had returned. She walked up the stairs to the second floor and opened the door to his bedroom. She walked over to where he was sitting in his chair, the vampire lord was staring at the flames, it seemed. But as she drew her blade and rounded the corner to face him, her expectant smile fell from her face. Someone had gotten to him before her. She screamed out into the night, her mark was taken from her. In disgust, she turned around to leave the house, but was met with a surprise; her master was standing in front of the door, blocking her escape. "How did you...?" She started to ask, but was interrupted with his answer, "You never understood the skill of illusion, haven't you? Typical vermin, never expecting that I could be a master of such a...simple skill. Well? No comment on the meer fack that I can copy myself into fake me's?" Elizabeth just growled, she had expected it, but she didn't think the he would actually use it. "Doesn't matter now, though, because I have you in my sights!" She rushed foward with almost blinding speed, swinging her sword at him. He just smiled and let the blade hit him, or rather, pass through him. Elizabeth realized what had happened, he had made more copies of himself. "Well, if want to play with cheapness like that, I might as well use illusions, too." She replied, activating her life detect spell and make illusory copies of herself to kepp his copies busy. She saw where he was, in the room behind the one where the fight was taking place. She smiled and rushed foward toward the wall and punched it with her free hand, it crumbled easily, but as she withdrew her arm from the remains of the wall, her master used this time to attack. He rushed forward, he was even faster than her. She reeled back, readying her sword. She parried every blow that he tried to land on her, and finally got a chance to see just what her sword could do. She grabbed her master's sword at the hilt and jammed her own sword into his stomach. She watched as his skin started to glow red hot, then patches of it burst open, showing flames from the inside of his body. She let his crumpled clothes and his ashes drop to the floor. "Take that, you son of a b***h." She said, spitting on his ashes. Elizabeth jumped, she had forgotten about the present while she was thinking about the night that she was free from the grips of her cruel master. She looked around, the camp was almost to quiet this night.

Drac'rad's impact with the ground wasn't nearly as painful as he'd anticipated. At first he assumed that it was because he had died instantly, but it didn't take long for him to assume that his entire body wouldn't be aching if he was dead. He attempted futilely to move any part of his body, but felt as though he was bound by invisible cords.

"You're still alive because of that spell," it was a female voice, slightly low-pitched, and Drac'rad couldn't see who was talking. "It's a very powerful paralysis spell that is keeping your shattered bones from separating. Right now your skeleton is in thousands of pieces, and if that spell wears off before you're healed, you will die. The aching is your body resisting it, but I promise you that the split-second of anguish you would feel if I removed it would drive you to insanity. You are able to breathe, though your ribs will be in considerable agony. You are able to blink and move your eyes, but your eye sockets will feel as though they are on fire. Aside from that, you should be completely immobile. Blink twice if that is true, because if it isn't, you'll be dead within seconds."

Drac'rad blinked twice, pushing past the pain that it caused him.

"Good. My name is Mora, and I am a member of a small Monastery situated underground north of the Jerall Mountains. I will take you there, but you must not try to resist the spell, or it will break. We should have you healed relatively soon and ready to rejoin your army soon, Nerevarine."

There were a number of questions that Drac'rad wanted to ask, not the least of which how Mora just happened to be in the exact place Drac'rad fell off of a cliff, but as he was unable to speak, he simply blinked twice to show his acceptance of her plan.

Mannfred sat leaning onto one of the barracks in the camp as Verona kneeled beside him healing his wounds from all of the fighting but mainly being worryed she didn't know how the people hear would react to them being what they are. Sure it was easy to know Mannfred was a vampire if you where upclose to him and he didn't care what people though he was a Vampire and he couldn't change it.

But Verona on the other hand hide her appearance with her hood hating the though of people trying to kill her or Necromancers opening her up and even Mage's or Knights being hired to dive down into her lair and kill her. But she had been with Mannfred for three fourths of her life as a Vampire but still the one fourth of it was horrible she found her very own family, Lover and best friends trying to kill her.

Verona sighed as she stopped the wounds healed and then slide a ring onto Mannfred's finger one of his own and one she also wore. It was a ring that allowed them to stand in the sunlight and it took Mannfred years and years to create.

Elizabeth walked over to whom she thought was the commander of the camp and asked him if she could have scouting duty for tonite and it was granted. She thanked him and went on her way, jumping up to the tallest tree and jumped on the branches, going higher and higher, until she could see the greatest distance that her eyesight, and the tree, could hold. She then cast her Hunter's Sight on herself and waited, or rather dared, for any remaining dremora, or anyone else, to even dare approach the camp.

(( Sorry, I thought the thread was dead... ))
Lucifer strode into the camp in his full daedric armor, alarming some. He soon realized that they didn't know he was a Dunmer so he took off his helmet to show that he wasn't a daedra. Lucifer walked to the center and sat down in a large pile. The blood all over his armor was daedric and Lucifer drew his sword and began wiping it on the ground to get rid of all the blood.

Talos made the first announcement, with all the Mephala, Azura, Stendarr, Boethia, and Kynareth standing behind him. He stood on top of a raised boulder so that everyone would be able to hear him easily.

"Mehrunes Dagon has dealt us a near-lethal blow today! We lost one third of our soldiers in that battle, including Norid and Grejori, and Drac'rad has gone missing. Those Dremora did not die. We eradicated them, but they will simply be banished back to Oblivion, and they will tell Mehrunes every bit of information they managed to gather.

"What we must do first is move this camp elsewhere, for Mehrunes is surely sending his entire army to destroy us. Secondly, there are a number of individuals who displayed incredible ability during today's battle. People who were not soldiers in this army. You know who you are, and I would ask you to step forward. The time has come to strike back at Mehrunes Dagon."

"Do I count?" the voice interrupted Talos's speech rudely, spoken in a contemptuous tone. The speaker was not standing with the rest of the army, but rather was walking toward Talos, holding a heavy haversack easily in one hand.

From head-to-toe, he was completely skeletal. He hovered eerily just centimeters above the ground and held a long, gnarled wooden staff in one hand. He wore heavy Daedric Armor that looked as though it had been forged from pieces of different sets of armor. There were scorch marks that marked seams in the armor where the section of one set had been fused with the section of another. He wore a cuirass, gauntlets, pouldrons, greaves, boots, and a helmet that covered the top of his head but exposed his face.

A Lich.

"Mehrunes sent out ten raiding parties this night. Only two of them struck at your camp. Each one had exactly 450 Churls, 200 Caitiffs, three Kynreeves, and one Valkynaz. The Kynreeves of the two raiding parties that you encountered fell back to report back to Mehrunes. If you had posted competent scouts on the mountains, you would have known this."

Talos looked insulted at the Lich's stuck-up attitude, and disgusted that such a wretched creature was even addressing him. "Is there a point to this speech?"

The Lich tossed the sack he was holding to the ground at the base of the rock Talos was standing on. The heads of Dremora spilled out, each one wearing an exquisite helmet.

"The head of a Valkynaz and his three Kynreeves. One patrol annihilated by me. The remaining patrols managed to retreat back to Mehrune's Palace. I suppose if I'd been more subtle, I could have destroyed two."

"I suppose you had some sort of diseased undead army to assist you?" Talos asked, unimpressed.

"I don't particularly enjoy the company of the undead. Don't insult me, Tiber Septim. I did this single-handedly and you know it."

Talos glared at the Lich, unable to muster a response. If the monster could have smiled, he would have, but his bleached white skull just looked upward into Talos's eyes.

"You plan to send in a team of talented individuals to destroy Mehrunes Dagon?"

Talos nodded, "You wish to accompany them?"

A cruel laugh erupted from the Lich's mouth, "No, I'm afraid not. Dagon's campaign is rather beneficial to me. I would destroy him eventually, but I'm worried that you people, my primary source of amusement, would die long before he becomes a threat to me."

"So why come here?" Boethia asked angrily, stepping forward.

"Because even though I have no interest in helping you directly, I can make these...heh...skilled fighters," he meant it as an insult, "more experienced. I can give them the strength to have a fighting chance. I can give them real power."

"At what cost?" Azura asked suspiciously.

"I ask only one thing of them, and that is that they do not abuse these powers. Even after I train them, I will still vastly outpower them, and it would be quite bothersome to kill one who decides to become a tyrant."

The Lich turned to face the army, "So anyone who wishes to risk their life to save an Empire that is already ruined, please step forward. I warn you, though, that the training is not particularly effective on the weak. It strains the body enough that anyone who is not already strong would be torn apart. Literally. It's quite entertaining, actually, and I encourage some of the common soldiers to attempt it."

Lucifer listened to both speeches, snarling at the Lich. He had watched his father fight a Lich before, it showed the same rudeness as this one did. Lucifer stood and with his helmet under his arm, he walked in front of the Lich.
-"I will go through your training, Lich."

"You brought the Nerevarine into our sanctuary?" Drac'rad was inside the Monastery now, listening to Mora and several other people arguing. "What could possibly drive you to do that?"

Mora responded defensively, "He would have died. Mehrunes can not succeed without the assistance of the Nerevarine! One of the Patrols Mehrunes foolishly sent out awoke that damnable Lich, and he found the Camp that all the rebels are staying in! He's going to bless them all with the strength to defeat a Kynreeve with ease, and we are going to need someone like the Nerevarine to fight them!"

"Do you recall what the Nerevarine did to Dagoth Ur? What he did to Hircine? What he did to the Tribunal? Whenever something has threatened Tamriel, the Nerevarine has been there to save it! Why would he help us now, when we are allied with Dagon?"

Mora's voice was sly and cruel, "I'll convince him. Don't worry, I will convince him."

* * * * *

The Lich stared at Lucifer silently for a few seconds, and began to laugh loudly. He lifted his staff leisurely into the air and pressed the tip against Lucifer's forehead.

"Brave Dunmer," the Lich said rudely before a blast of lightning extended from the staff, blasting into Lucifer's head. Lucifer was lifted off the ground, the blast launching him high into the air.

"But foolish," the Lich finished, lowering his staff as Lucifer fell back down into the snow-covered ground. "You lived through the training, but you're still fighting a battle that's already been lost."

"Who else wishes for power?"

((
Lucifer, your seven highest skills have all been increased by fifty, and all your attributes have increased by twenty.

And for the record, this is a fairly necessary process. Without the Lich's training, you'll be at a major disadvantage when you go into Cyrodiil. I advise that all the main characters step forward.))

Nariel stepped forward and looked up at the Lich, "I'll take your training Lich." She said. In her mind she could just imagine the power she would have.

"My brother, wake up." Virnya whispered into Kinas' ear. "A lich is near....I can feel it...." Kinas said, sitting up, his wound miraculously healed. "Yes brother, apparenty he is granting strength to those that want it, as long as they dont misuse it," Virnya explained, helping Kinas up, "do you thik we should head over there?". "Yes, my sister, we should. Let's go."

Orgim stepped forward and stared directly at the Lich's face. Orgim didn't say a thing, all he did was stare at the Lich.

Mannfred looked over to Verona who was staring back at him but soon looked away as Mannfred looked to her. "This will mostly likely be fun however it may turn out"Mannfred said with a grin followed by a twisted smile as he got up to his feet and turned and walked towards the back of the army. Verona who looked like she was sneaking as she was leaning on her feet with her knees bent stood up and followed behind Mannfred.

The both of them easily went through the crowd of soldiers without being noticed, as well the soldiers having their makes turned made it a hole look easier. The soldiers only noticed Mannfred and Verona as they walked in front of them and towards the Lich.

"Lich we will take up that offer of training"Mannfred called as he and Verona stood before the Lich. Mannfred hoped that some where in this training he could get some light armour skills as it seems his shielding enchantment was broken during the fight.
