Falkor quickly looked at the valkyrie's back and nodded. After that, they both walked out of the forest, under the star-filled ebony curtain that covered this part of Midgar. Night, such a peaceful and beautiful time, though hidding sins and evil under it's beauty. One could see it as something precious, a moment to enjoy and live to its fullest while another could see it as something vain and disgusting.

Falkor and Gudrun made it back to the Inn, now standing in front of the front door. The heavy swordsman turned around to look at the valkyrie and stared at her. He then looked around, a light sigh escaping his lips and his eyes rolled back down to the woman. ''If you want, you can stay with me in my room. What else would you do anyway? You said yourself you were taking a break from your duties. You can stay with me for the night... Not much of privacy left to hide from you, hm?'' The human told her as he turned around and opened the places door, walking in and heading to his room where he rested Shame on a wall. Falkor halfly turned around to look at the room's door, which was still opened, and looked to see if Gudrun had followed him in.

((Aww. Ok, well have a safe trip Mizzy! Hope you'll do fine over there. ^_^))

((I just managed to get an internet connection and I don't want the RP waiting for me too long; not sure when I can get a connection again though))

"Oh?" escaped from Gudrun's lips as her eyes widened a little. "Is it possible that you may somewhat enjoy my company? It is quite alright if you do want to be alone for the night, I will not take offence to it. There will come another day where we may talk like this again." She said this all while following close behind him, knowing he could not respond until he was in the comfort of his room. She flitted in through his open door despite what she had said about him wanting to be alone. Of course, she wouldn't mind seeing the earlier sight. She flew a bit higher before resting herself in the middle of the bed, her legs crossed. "Yet again, are you sure you wish to have my company and that you are not just saying so out of politeness?"

{{Edit: Alright Mizzy! Thanks bundles! We'll try to keep the plot slow so you can get back into it ^__^}}

An impish grin creeped it’s way onto the devilish goddess’s pale face. Indeed she was quite the evil one, but nothing could compare to this. She was in her chambers, lounging on the red mattress that circled around a well of blood. Hel’s fleshy fingertips skimmed the surface, as a result a ripple was sent through the crimson blood. An image remained in the well, an image of a man clad in demonic looking armor; and through the image the reflection of Hel’s piercing eyes glared through, smiling with pure delight at the words he had spoken of fighting and his thoughts on the human species.

“You speak of such distaste towards humans, and you’ve a great amount of strength. Yet you do nothing about these petty souls,” she murmered, the grin still stretched across her face. “Why won’t you just die for me?” she asked, and at that moment sent a wave of pain to the man wherever he might be. If it had not been for Odin’s hold on her powers, her powers to control the death of humans, she would’ve killed him right then, but instead all she could do was put him in pain. And that was when she saw the valkyrie that was with him. Her smirk subsided and her eyes widened just the slightest amount as she gripped the side of the well with both her flesh hand and her skeletal one. She leaned over, as if getting closer to the blood image would help her see. Her skeletal hand reached out and touched the valkyrie’s face, sending a wave of words she had spoken to the man into Hel’s mind. That impish grin came back to her lips, but it was different. Hel’s translucent and slightly sharp teeth shown in the evilest grin anyone could ever witness, her gray eyes sparkled with an amount of mischief that no one could’ve ever achieved, and the long nails of her fleshy hand dug into the stone of the well like it had been made out of butter.

She was so focused on the valkyrie that she had let go of her hold on the young man, the pain to him probably resided into a meer headache by now. A deep growl started in Hel’s throat, slowly getting louder as she started to chuckle evil, and then cackle wildly. As soon as it subsided she smiled into the well, her reflection showing on the image of the valkyrie and the young man. “Oh my, isn’t this just the most pleasant situation! A valkyrie distant of Odin? Getting away from her bond to him? This is a true catch, a true catch indeed!” she laughed to herself, “And she wants a child? With a human?” her laughter echoed through her chambers, “Oh I can work with this, my lovelies,” her voice dwindled as her skeletal hand caressed the surface and the image disappeared.

Standing, the great goddess held a large smirk on her face. She walked to her chamber doors, opening them to see many of the habitants still training, making her mood even more jubilant, although she was much more in a state of mischief. She walked to the edge of the high stone platform, and made a jump that, to humans, would have a lethal consequence as they collided with the ground. But Hel quickly changed form into a crow and flew off to see two particular demons.

With a small piece of paper clutched in Hel’s talons, she rode the air over to Scarlett, who was conveniently in her chambers close to hers. As she saw her delicate, demoness form she came close and dropped the small paper in her hands. It only had three words written on it in delicate cursive: Follow the Crow, along with Hel’s crest. The crafty crow didn’t wait for a response, and it swiftly flew off towards a distant wall where the wind blew heavily.

Hel changed into her goddess form mid-air, dropping to her feet next to the sitting form of Lucien. She waited a few seconds for Scarlett to land before informing them on her little conquest. “Now that I have you both here, I have a small favor to ask,” she said in her mysterious, but delicious voice, a grin creeping up to her cheek. Her hood was down now, letting her unhuman, beautiful features show. Naturally darkened and plump lips, silver flowing hair with loose curls, a bone structure that would lure in any man. “I want you two to leave for Midgard.. And bring me back the human warrior clad in demonic armor. I don’t care if he’s dead or alive, if you kill him he will be sworn to me forever,” her grin was deliciously evil as her gray eyes met with theirs. “There is a valkyrie with him, one that is against the boundarie of her deity, the great Odin,” she scoffed at his name, “Along with the warrior, I want you to bring me the valkyrie.. Persuade her.. And tell her that I will grant her a child if she agrees to join me,” her grin was wide and toothy, her sharp clear teeth marveled in unnatural beauty. She then looked to Lucien and kneeled beside him, taking in his long hair once again in her hands and tying it up with another ribbon. “Remember, my dear Lucien, if you don’t want a bird to fly, simply cut off his wings,” she whispered in his ear. She stood up and glanced at them both. “Ready?” she asked, and then snapped her fingers, sending them into Midgard, right into the forest where the valkyrie and the warrior had been little while before. She didn’t even give them time to respond.

Nothing much else happened since he and Scarlett departed from their fight among the fields, the amusement among the watchers' eyes and the smell of dust and blood amongst the air. Lucien enjoyed such a feeling of battle, such a wonderful feeling of death in the air, the very exciting feeling he got from Hel herself. But, as much as he wanted to battle, to fight, to train, his body wasn't up for it. He felt very sluggish from what Scarlett had done to him, but his body was in fit shape for a demon so he was starting to feel better a lot quicker than he thought. The tear in his neck was stitched by the talent of his hands, his skin a normal color, blood pumping through his veins for such adrenaline rush. But it was like a magnet was holding his lazy, skinny, bony behind to the ground he sat on, cross-legged with his spear beside him. He glanced down at it; once again, his memory a blur, with nothing to know on why such a name was carved onto the handle.

Sometimes he didn't even remember the last name he was given. he snorted in displeasure. Doesn't matter here anyway! He put his elbows on his knees, resting his chin in his palms as he rapped his cheek lightly with his fingers. That was when the flapping of wings came above him, in a rush of his spacing out, and he jumped slightly, looking up out of pure curiosity. His whole body felt like a single heart, leaping out of fear, happiness, duty and excitement: before him came Hel in her appearance, and he flushed with excitement as their Deity came to see him personally, then... he noticed Scarlett. he and Scarlett hadn't left on the worst terms, but he didn't want to see her again so soon; yet, if she was with Hel and she before him, there must be a reason. Lucien put aside his anger and put his duty first, looking at Hel with a serious, calm expression.

She spoke of a human clad in demonic armour that she wished for him dead or alive, to either way be under her control. And then... which sprung to his pointed ears, lifting his brows and widening his eyes, about a Valkyrie as well. Now, that was odd... a Valkyrie away from Odin and in Midgard? He wanted to grin in amusement, but tried to stay focused and listen carefully. This was a mission he had been dying for ever since the battles, the training, everything had started! To be an assassin, a hunter, a robber; to steal the lives away to He'ls underworld, away from their precious city and Deity. It all seemed too sweet on his tongue, and even more off of Hel's.

Hel leaned close to him, whispering a catchy phrase he didn't quite understand: well, he understood the facts of it, but why would she tell him that? he glanced at Scarlett, only wondering if it had something to do with her. But, that was only his jealous feelings kicking in for how she had beaten him. Lucien opened his mouth to speak, the crack of his voice from being held in so long as momentary pause, but before he knew it, the snapping sound of her fingers clicked through his ears as his world faded from him, his body sent far above from the depths of the wonderful world of death that his very soul was disposed to. In the blankness, he closed his eyes, and wavered beyond transportation for not even seconds more. His feet was once again upon solid ground, and his eyes shot open, as he stood there, staring ahead into the reaches of hundreds of trees around him, his spear grasped in his hand.

And that's when he realized a figure beside him: Scarlett.

And since Hel was no longer before him, his disrespectful attitude kicked in, rolling his eyes in disgust with a theatrical sigh. He understood why Scarlett was with her, that she was pairing them up. And here I thought I would have the glory for myself! Yet the very woman of my defeat is sent to do my precious mission alongside me. We'll see who wins the race this time. But, his main worry was... where were they? Where had Hel sent them? She obviously wouldn't send them far from destination, or too close. It was the smartest thing to do. Yet, still... he couldn't help but look disappointed.

Scarlet had made it to her chambers without too much of a problem, many of the demons who would have stopped her in some attempt to have their way were too afraid to make a move. Her eyes showed anger, she wasn't in a mood for anything to happen, and her fingers were constantly on the tip of her sais.

Of course, there was one demon who was clearly new to the pit, a pity for him, he didn't even get out one word before Scarlet slashed his throat and walked away, leaving him bleeding on the floor. After that, no one dared even look at her as she made her way to her chamber.

Once inside, she changed her appearance, she wasn't about to walk around in ripped clothing. She had managed to score quite a collection from picking off fallen demons; especially those who had fallen to her. Stripping off her dress, she instead pulled on a short black flowing skirt that stopped just above her knees, a white blouse that she covered with a black corset, pushing her breasts higher. She kept her boots, added a white belt, and only had time to smile at herself for a second before a crow came to her and dropped a paper in her hand.

Scarlet unrolled the paper immediately and read the three words before turning to the crow who was already a bit off in the distance. Without hesitating she flew after the crow, and dropped the paper below her, into a pit of fire. As they flew Scarlet barely had time to think about where they were going when the crow turned into Hel herself and landed on a ledge, a ledge where Lucien himself was perched.

Scarlet smiled as she looked at him, seeing his scar, seeing his smile fade as he looked at her. She listened to Hel's order and wondered what it was that she wanted this human for, what was so special about him that she'd send two of her warriors to get him and not just wait for him to die. She figured that the man was powerful and didn't want him in Odin's power, but that was nothing new; clearly this man was more important than that, but she did not voice her thoughts. As for the Valkyrie, now that Scarlet could understand, and the notion of her wanting a child almost made Scarlet laugh out loud, but she simply grinned and nodded as Hel finished her orders. Telling the Valkyrie that Hel could give her a child should be a significant step to getting her to cross the other side, but she wouldn't mention that right away. Course that was if she talked to the Valkyrie and not Lucien, who knew what that demon was thinking.

Of course, as she thought that, she watched Hel bend down and tie up Lucien's hair once more, and whisper something in his ear. She turned her head to the side, slightly jealous that he was getting the attention when she had been the victor. Not that she had that much time to be jealous, the next thing she knew there was a snap and she was in a forest.

The light, though dim was slightly disturbing to her eyes that were so use to the darkness of her home. They adjusted quickly enough, and in time to see Lucien look at her, roll his eyes and sigh. She was about the snap a comment, but decided against it, instead she looked around the forest and tried to decide where they were. She listened but couldn't really hear anything. So she spread her wings and flew up into the branches, looking around, she saw smoke and a town not too far away, and assumed that if anything, that's where the man would be.

She descended lightly, though she sat on a branch a few feet from the ground, resting her back against the trunk, her one leg dangling over the side, the other bent as it rested on the branch.

She looked at Lucien, her eyes sparkling, daring him to ask her.

As Gudrun waited for his answer, she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end; something wasn't right. Her eyes moved around the room, searching for the source of this offensive feeling, but she saw nothing out of the ordinary. Everything was as they had left it. That only raised her level or paranoia, however. Her eyes returned to Falkor, her brows a bit furrowed from the annoyance of not knowing where the strange feeling was coming from.

Lucien watched the female demon with curious eyes. And although they mere slits of a glare, he still couldn't grasp why he wasn't left to do th alone. Of course Scarlet had beaten him, but it just seemed so unfair. She seemed to be watching him as she easilly stood back against the trunk of a forest tree, but he said nothing, not wanting to sound like an idiot or anything else. If they had something to do, it would obviously be close. He growled to himself, a somewhat fierce, inhumane reaction, and shifted his spear onto the strap on his back where it would hang loosely. Lucien glared at Scarlett from the corners of his eyes, tried to somewhat stubborn, and then got a look of curiosity; over, through the trees in the distance where they broke only slightly, smoke rose into the sky. He guessed it was most likely from a chimney, or something of the like, and if they were really in the human surface, then it could be the just place Hel would want them to go.

He started in that direction at a quick pace, graceful and easy, a complete opposite in his fighting. Lucien didn't even care to look back and see if Scarlet was following; he wouldn't worry about such jealous feelings. His mind was loyal and fierce, and he had a mission; the Valkyrie would be his no matter what he cause. Scarlet couldn't go and fly around here, for it would only cause problems and the humans to cower in fear, so maybe he had such an advantage of finding them first. He was quick and agile on the ground, probably as she was in the air, and if not trained properly, still able to. A thin smile crossed his lips at the thought as Lucien stepped over a group of rots around a large truck, brushing his sharp fingernails, or even claws, against the bark. Up in the trees, animals peered at the demons with pure curiousity, wondering what such oddity's were doing in their world.

The trees were opening quicker than he thought, towards the town that awaited them ahead. Truth in all, the smoke was coming for the human area. Lucien couldn't help but smile, the winds gliding through the trees and loosening hair from the ribbon Hel herself had tied it in. This would be the chance of a lifetime, and he wasn't going to waste himself to their deity. Lucien looked back to see if Scarlet was following, which she most likely would be.

Falkor felt the pain Hel had sent him, though had no clue what it was or where it came from. The armored man growled lightly to the pain, holding himself with his right elbow on the door frame, bringing his left hand to the back of his neck and holding it there. He looked behind him, from the corner of his eye, but couldn't see anyone; surely no average human could cause this much pain without being noticed. Falkor's body tensed up, trying to tolerate the pain and not show it to Gudrun. The human let out another light growl and started walking towards the valkyrie.

''You, at least, are a lot more worthy than most people who roam onto this world. I am asking out of politeness, but your presence isn't unwanted either. You stay or you go, it's your decision.'' He told her, walking to the bed and sitting on it, still tolerating the pain which was slowly going away. ''I have the feeling some assistance will be needed, anyway...'' He thought to himself.

"I shall decide to remain then...." Gudrun answered warily, still looking around the room. She glided past him slowly, whispering very softly as she passed by him, ensuring that her lips moved very little. "Something is wrong here...I sense we are being watched, as well as the force pf pain upon you...it would be best to pretend like nothing has happened..."
She took a seat on the window sill, crossing her legs daintly as she looked out at the sky.

Scarlet watched Lucien and continued smiling until she saw him begin to move away from her, through the trees and towards the village. She looked up and saw smoke and frowned, she would not receive the satisfaction of hearing him ask her which way to go.

However, she was not about to leave with him. There was more at risk for her then for him. He still maintained a human appearance, while her, with red eyes, and a tail, was quite a bit more noticeable. Besides, it was also light out, and she was not in the mood to do anything when there was a good chance of them being seen.

So instead she shrugged her shoulders and remained on her tree branch, contemplating what to do about the situation. It wasn't really the valkyrie she was intimidated by, after all, a woman talking to a woman with promises of a child should be simple. No, it was the other one that she was more concerned with. Her looks would work on any simply human, but where Hel herself wanted this man, Scarlet knew they would not work this time. Not that she counted them out from helping completely, no, they would help, she'd just need to come up with more.

That was of course if she wanted him to come willingly.

She grinned at the thought of killing a human, it was something she hadn't had the pleasure of doing in quite some time. But then again, where Hel had wanted this man, she was sure that his skill was not to be taken likely.

With a sigh, she looked at the dying sun and couldn't help but wonder what it was Lucien was doing. She didn't discredit him entirely, but if he did fail, it would be such a pity to miss.

The same feeling she had earlier returned, but it was of...a different kind...? She couldn't quite place her finger on it, but it was getting stronger with each passing minute. Gudrun cast her eyes back at Falkor to see if he was having a reaction to anything. He seemed to be quite a strange man; he seemed to have no ill will of heart to anyone nor was he fond of them either. He simply wanted to be left alone to live his life, it seemed. But why the killing? Why the demon-like armour and sword? It intrigued her, but she would not pry.

The great Odin laughed heartily at the viking's ways, a short rumble could be felt, vibrating the floor that supported the feet of many warriors. "Ah, Styrbjorn, I believe your thoughts are correct. The time is coming short for the day our battle will begin," he smiled pleasantly down at the man, and then to Geri and Freki. The way they swallowed down the meat made the god smile with amusement. "And I am quite sure I know this comes as a delight to you and the others, and we will fight with our all, yes?" he rather stated, than asked. The content smile played on his face once more, before he felt the thoughts of his significant other. He stood from his great chair and looked to Styrbjorn, "As for now, my lady is searching for me, and I must seek her out," he said, "I will leave you to inform the news to the others," he placed a hand on the vikings strong shoulder, before walking back through the grand hallway and out of the doors. Making his way back towards the vast plain where the meeting had been held, he immediately spotted Freya. Her beauty conjured it's way to his eye, and he smiled at the impatience on her graceful face. "I hope you have not waited long for me."

{YEAH, sorry about how long I haven't posted. I know it's not long, but it had to be done. I have to say though, the last line is a bit.. uh.. ^__^"}
