Shaydra saw the overlord and an ogre coming out with Luxran captive. She thought quickly and decided what to do. Slipping back to the slave room, Shaydra, still invisible, prowled to the machine and made herself visible, acting like a slave. She was going to find out more about the machine.

Lex, a long, slender girl of about 19 was working the next shift. Her black clothes were in tatters and she was starving. She started working on the machine, with lots of stength and endurance. For one, she didn't want to be fed to the Ogres and second, she had trained long and hard to become powerful before she was caputerd and brought here. Her long red hair was tangled but her green eyes still sparkled.

Luxran noticed the girl working on the machine before the overlord took him to the main hall. "I would Like you to clean every tile with this toothbrush." The overlord said. Luxran started working on his task so he wouldn't get killed.

Shaydra noticed a strong young slave working around the machine. She caught up to her and said, "Do you know anything about this machine? Do you work for the overlord or against him?"

Luxran cleaned all the tiles. An ogre led him into the slave room and he fell asleep there. He was too tired to do anything else.

"I was captured by the overlord's cronies a few years ago. They sent us to work on this machine, all I can tell you, because it's all I know, is that it will be powered by more slave labor. And, knowing the overlord, it will be used evily..." Lex said. She showed no shyness or didn't get startled. She mainly concentrated on her task, and thought nothing of the newcomer.

Luxran woke up and noticed shaydra in the room.

Lex almost chuckled, "I just don't want to ger thrown to the Ogres. I would never work this hard on something evil unless my life was on the line." She went back to concentrating on working. "So, plan?"
