...Guh.
He fell to the ground, hard.

Damon8 Damon had scored another clean hit, and he wasn't even trying really. More or less, he had stopped trying to use strategy, and just started going with the flow so to speak. Just kinda messing around and taking things as they came his way. He was perfectly aware that this was a show of arrogance, but Balmung wasn't exactly presenting him any reason to really put any effort into anything.
Damon just walked out into the middle of the road, motioning for the spheres to come back to his side. Which they did without any kind of hesitation. Showing just how powerful Damon's control was.
How much longer could Balmung hold out?

A gust of wind billowed out from Zweihander, making him rise quickly.
"Two-Hand Quicken!"Two-hand Quicken - Rank: D- By utilizing the power of wind, Balmung gains a yellow hue, allowing him to nearly double his speed and increase his attack rate. This skill also doubles the amount of strikes Balmung does with Techniques. Duration: 7 posts, 3 times per battle.
"Now...Hiryuukaze!"Hiryuukaze (Flying Dragon Wind) - Rank: D Simply a name for when the user uses a powerful gust of wind to striking the ground from his sword, propelling him into the sky and allowing him to levitate using wind.

'Where did that sudden burst of power come from?!'
Nevermind that, he had to neutralize Balmungs charge! But what exactly could he do against something like that? Just as he toyed with the notion of dodging, logic suddenly hit Damon in the head. The spheres of course! Turning his hands towards each other, he cupped them together, so as to force a fusion between the two spheres in his hands.
With a swift double palm thrust, he converted the spheres into a pulse like blast. The blast traveled forwards, and would immediately slam into Balmung, should he not avert his course. The resistance against his charge would hopefully be enough to simply neutralize the charge altogether. Not really sure how he could do damage, but he would stop the charge.

Haru Tachibana ~...+ ((2HQ: 7 Turns Left)) +...~Balmung's Hiryuukaze was canceled out by Damon's Psychic Spheres. He landed on the rooftop and began drawing small circles in the air with Zweihander.
"Kazeken!"Kazeken (Wind Sword) - Rank: C By using Zweihander's vacuum ability, Balmung can draw air to circle the weapon and enchant it with Wind-property. This in turn strengthens Balmung's attacks and the winds of his Techniques. Duration: 5 posts, 2 times per battle. ?????? There are two-steps that make up this attack. First, the user starts off by standing fully erect, and by holding the sword out parallel to their head. Then, they vibrate both their body and their sword until gusts of air begin to circle the blade.

Damon8 Damon wasn't getting annoyed per say, but this battle was dragging on pointlessly. Balmung had done nothing bet get the piss slapped out of him this entire fight, without landing once descent move. Damon had been one step ahead in every situation, and perhaps now it seemed that Balmung was getting desperate.
You know what they say about an animal backed into a corner.
Damon was smart enough to realize that Balmung was about to try for a one hit wonder. And those kinds of moves were never something that the young warrior psion liked to encounter. In his mind, he remembered the outcome of their last fight, which had left him critically injured. He did not want to have to experience defeat once more. No. Hell no!
Using a pulse of psionic force, Damon propelled himself to the top of a structure that just directly faced Balmung. In his mind he knew what he would have to do in order to end this battle. He needed to end it right now, that much was for sure.
A shimmering transparent distortion began to gather around Damon's body. He closed his eyes, gripped his hands into fists, and extended his arms out to his sides. He spread his legs apart and bent at the knees. He had to gather the energy for this move, and he could only hope that it would work.
" I'm going to end this! "
The transparent shimmer was nothing more then heat waves emitting from around Damon's body. He had been practicing this finishing move for a long time, but had never gotten the chance to really put it to use. By tapping into the depths of his psionic power, Damon had figured out a way to massively accelerate molocules in a controlled fashion, which allowed him to create very powerful heat based attacks. He was extending his influence all around his body, every portion of the air that was around him.
The energy it was taking, and the heat that was being produced was simply massive. A glimmer of sweat began to accumulate of Damon's forehead, and drip off the end of his nose. And in only a matter of seconds. Thats how hot it was getting for him.
" DIE! "
Damon swung both arms horizontally inwards, colliding his fists together. Ignition. A massive spiraling heatwave exploded from the focal point of Damon's fists, and moved towards Balmung. The air was being sucked into it, and everything in it's path was simply being set ablaze or melted into nothing. One spark of flame was all it required to literally set this monster on fire. He was gonna cook Balmung like a turkey inside his own armor, if not melt the steel right onto his burning flesh!

A fierce whirlwind erupted as Balmung slowly leaned into a back-stance.Finish Move(Balmung only):Bousekikoujouken (Spinning Mill Sword)-Rank: A+ The second step involves great concentration and focus. The user leans into a back-stance, playing the right foot over left. From there, the user begins to spin while still vibrating their body. The constant circular vibrations, combined with the spinning of the sword causes an erratic whirlwind to erupt the length of the weapon. The cyclone then continues to travel down the length of the arms, until the entire user is engulfed in a cyclone. This cyclone serves as a powerful, almost unbreakable defense. From there, twenty propeller-shaped arcs of kamaitachi wind shoot out from the cyclone, capable of easily cutting through steel like butter. The user must have absolute focus when doing it, or else the cyclone will backfire and slice the user's body into ribbons. After this attack, the user is left so dizzy, that they can actually throw up or pass out from the G-force winds. Added Effects 2HQ: Increases Balmung's speed/attack rate, and doubles the amount of attacks in his techniques. Kazeken: Multiplies the power of Wind-based techniques by 1.5 times normal.

Damon8 The massive surge of wind blades met head on with the enormous heat wave, which caused only one thing to happen. With the wind feeding the ever growing fire and giving it fuel, the entire heat wave literally exploded into bright orange, red and white flames. It was like watching a tornado of absolute destruction pour from Damon's every being. It was a freight train, it simply plowed everything out of it's way!
The windblades were usurped right into the hellstorm and quickly bared down on Balmung. The heat had to be immense, and the destructive power had to enormous. The vast jump in temperature alone was causing buildings to disintegrate, objects to shatter, and whatever corpses and debris were around to be sucked into a vacuum from all the air that was being pulled into it.
It was extremely difficult to look at because of the intense and almost blinding light that shown from the vortex of flames. But despite all of these horrible side effects, Damon was holding firm. He was pouring nearly everything he had into this massive attack. The roar was mind boggling! If not for the psychic barrier around himself, Damon would have already burnt to a crisp. His shirt had already been torn from his body and burst into flames, leaving his torso exposed. The massive diagonal scar shown bright across his chest, and it's mere image fueled Damon to keep pushing until there was simply nothing left!
" I will never give up! I WILL WIN! "

Haru Tachibana Hah. You've only seen the best attacks with Zweihander. You haven't even seen the attacks with Soul Embrace. Try standing against THIS!! +...~~...+ ((2HQ: 5 Turns Left)) +...~~...+ ((Kazeken: 4 Turns Left)) +...~Balmung closed his eyes. If the Bousekikoujouken didn't work, there was one other thing he could think of at the moment.
The winds of fate...please blow in my favor...
With nothing to hold back from, Balmung opened his eyes and poured everything he had into a backspin and stepped forward on his left.
"BOUSEKIKOUJOUKEN: GYAKUKAITE NO RYUHA!!!"Ultimate Attack(Balmung only): Bousekikoujouken: Gyakukaite no Ryuha (Spinning Mill Sword: Backspinning/Counter Dragon Wave)-Rank:S+ This is the secret and highly destructive "third-step" of the Bousekikoujouken. After the kamaitachi winds are released, the user can step forward on their left and go into a backspin slash. Then, the fierce cyclone that creates the Bousekikoujouken is released from the body and exits through the blade. It then soars toward the enemy as a devastating hurricane of winds, made by the intense vacuum it creates as it cuts between two layers of air, making it unblockable. It should be noted though, that the hurricane-force winds that go through the body damages it severely and has a high chance of destroying the weapon. Therefore, this technique is double-edged, and forbidden, because of it's killing nature on both the user and the opponent. Just like Bousekikoujouken, the user is left extremely dizzy and can even pass out from the G-force winds. Added Effects 2HQ: Increases Balmung's speed/attack rate, and doubles the amount of attacks in his techniques. (Two Hurricanes instead of one) Kazeken: Multiplies the power of Wind-based techniques by 1.5 times normal.

There was nothing unstoppable anybody anything! Damon's power would not be stopped! He had spent too much time training, too much effort practicing his skill, perfecting his art, strengthening his mind and preparing for the day he would take his revenge! Night after sleepless night that the scare across his chest ached, and the night terrors, no, he would not be defeated! His will was too strong, his power too great!
His eyes widened and his entire being surged forth with everything that his body could muster! All of that will power and energy focused into one simple and ultimate goal: Defeat Balmung. Overcome his power. Win! The ultimate power of a psion lay within his reason and will to fight, and Damon had poured all of that powerful reason into this one attack. This one surging hellfire!
Even know the flames of the flaming tornado would increase as it sucked in the power from both of those hurricanes! It was not canceled out, it was made stronger! The flames licked into the vortexes of each hurricane and set it on fire! The wind blades would be completely and utterly dispelled with only the those 'unstoppable massive' hurricanes pushing back into the flames. They were only fueling Damon's immense will and the power of the ultimate attack he was unleashing! And soon, inevitably, both hurricanes would become one with the massive flaming attack!
Slowly but sure, the flames of the vortex would converge, twist, push and strain. And then it would do something that not even Damon himself had seen coming. It began to wind, bend and struggle, until finally, it became something! Two glowing red eyes, a maw which opened to consume both hurricanes, a long slider body and the tail leading all the way to Damon's fists.
" A- A DRAGON?! "
Had it really returned?! Had Damon's desire to win taking physical manifestation and actually come to his aid? It had combined itself with his most powerful attack in order to consume the enemy before it! The awesome and awe inspiring presence force Damon to continue his onslaught. Slowly, he felt his knees wobbling, sweat pouring from his face, and blood slowly seeping from his ears and his nose. Dripping down onto his water parched lips. His eyes burned like they were on fire, but never lost the luster that shown in a man's face right before he claimed his greatest victory!
NOTHING would stop Damon, nothing!
The hurricanes had been slowly but certainly consumed, and now the dragon bore down on Balmung, intent on taking him and all of his cursed sword into hell. This was it, this was the end.
" YOUR SWORDS CAN'T HANDLE MY FURY! BALMUNG, YOU WILL DIE!! "

Haru Tachibana ~...+ Nothing I can do? Psh. There's one more trick up Balmung's sleeve! +...~~...+ ((2HQ: 4 Turns Left)) +...~~...+ Kazeken: 3 Turns left +...~"...Damn it..."
His Ultimate attack had been blocked, and Zweihander was shattered again. His armor was cracked and mostly useless. There was only one thing that could save him now...but at the cost of his own life.
"Soul Embrace!!"Awakening of Soul Embrace Closing his eyes, he held Zweihander's handle with one hand and used the other hand to make a series of rapid handsigns and incantations. Sheathing Zweihander onto his back holster, he reached for it again after making several handsigns with his other hand. Soul Embrace... In a flash of blue light, Zweihander had completely vanished, but another massive sword took it's place on Balmung's back. Bigger than Zweihander and sporting a very sacred looking blade with a rather disfiguring demonic blade, it was Balmung's trump card.
Panting heavily, Balmung raised Soul Embrace and charged at the snake with the last remaining droplets of energy he had. This is was his final technique. His body was already broken from his previous Ultimate Attack. It would either end up killing him, or wound him so severely that he'd be in a coma for months.
"KYUKYOKU BUSHIN HAKAZAN!!!"Final Attack:Kyūkyoku Bushin Hakazan(Ultimate War God Slash)Rank:SS A sword technique adopted from a legendary swordsman of the Heian period. The user launches the target into the air with an uppercut slash, then by taking to the skies, slashes the target seventeen times consecutively. Each slash causes kanji to appear all over the target's body. On the nineteenth slash, the target falls back onto the ground with a downward stroke. The final attack is a downward stab into the target's heart, activating every single kanji on the target's body and destroying their spiritual energy from within, resulting in a massive explosion. Added Effects 2HQ: Balmung's speed and attack rate increase. Techniques also double their attacks. Kazeken: Multiplies the power of Wind-based techniques by 1.5

Damon8 All Damon saw was Balmung taking his ultimate sword and charging headlong into the snake. He only caught a small passing glimpse of Balmung slashing it, just before the flaming snake completely consumed him. He saw nothing at the end other then the knights fading image, and only heard his last words as the name of his attack.
Moments after his consuming, Damon watched as the snake ascended towards the sky, and in a blinding flash, explode into a blinding red, white and yellow supernova! The energy released was enormous, and what was left of the upper levels of the city, were sucked up into the supernova and completely annihilated. It was as thought time itself simply stood still for this phantasmal display of awesome power.
The shockwave that followed blew apart buildings, threw corpses of demon bodies around, and Damon was blown to the ground as well. The building he had been standing out was standing firm against the oncoming shockwave, however futile it seemed.
After the dispersing of the entire event, the city was in complete ruins. Damon lay face down in the dirt, bleeding from the mouth, nose, and ears. But despite how much pain he felt from using all that power, all that could be heard was his laughter. He had finally done it! He had finally taken his revenge. Everything he had trained for, all his power, all his reason, all his will was saved for this moment. It felt so wonderful to finally have defeated the knight. Indeed, he had power that was capable of destroying entire cities! But Balmung didn't have one thing, he didn't have the spirit that Damon had. The will, the reason and the strive to go all the way. And so, it was finally over. Damon had come out alive, and the victor.
Damon staggered to his feet, and with a swift and sore right hand, wiped the blood from his ears and nose. His eyes gleamed, and his heart beat steady and calmly. Despite being without a shirt, the chilly nighttime air did not bother Damon. It came as a welcome relief next to the incredible heat he had just been subjected to. With a smile, Damon turned around and began limping out of the city. Leaving behind his past, leaving behind a ruined city, under which lay buried his old self.
His rival was dead. And now to find his real purpose.
A twinkle in the night. A star shone it's favor to the psion.

Balmung, this is Sieg. Do you copy, Balmung? I sensed a massive upsurge of energy in that city. You alright?
....Damn it, Balmung, do you copy?
Sighing, the demon king plummeted to the ground and began searching.
Balmung, you better not be dead. If you are dead...I'll kill you.
It only took a few minutes before he found Balmung's body, and the remnant signature of Damon's psychic energy.
With a glare cold enough to freeze hell itself, he picked up Balmung and left the ruined city.~...+ Uh-oh...looks like Sieg's out for Damon now. +...~

Haru Tachibana The demon king entered his castle and went straight for the hospital wing. He left Balmung body in a special area, and he immediately went back to his throne room and sat down next to Arlia.
"....Balmung's been killed..."Arlia frowned.
"Poor Balmung. Yuki's going to be upset...""I know. Whoever did that will pay with his life...by me, or worse...Yuki."

Speed. It was all about his speed.
Speed of mind. Speed at reading movements.
If there was anything fast about Haru at all, it was his mind. That's all he focused on. Perhaps his newest challenger would prove to be different. Maybe he would be the one to finally take him down.
That was the sole reason why Haru stood in the stadium, in the middle of the stone ring, alone. He was looking for someone who possessed the mental capacity and sheer force of will that made his own seem like a joke.
The will to survive...
The will to live...
The will to never give up, the will that pushes him past his body's absolute limit time and time again....
The will to never lose...
That same will was his true strength. Haru's will was not just his own...but also of his friends and loved ones. Every Gaian fights with their own will....but to Haru, the truly great ones not just for themselves, but also for the people that care for them. That's what always gave him the power to win.
The power of the individual is dwarfed by the power of the many.
