Gonzu pulls Kitai back from the pedestal and walks in front of her. "O mysterious... stone... er... object. We just want to get back to our dimension." He bows at the stone pedestal. "So If you could direct us to the nearest exit that would be wonderful."

"I wasn't always a stone cylinder sticking out of the ground, you know. If all you seek are directions, I assume I can afford to be quite generous. The particular entrance you seek is approximately a thousand meters away from me, and you will walk straight into it there if you want towards that cluster of rocks right there and then keep going."
It pauses for a moment, but then continues.
"And so long as you are headed back towards the manor, could you be so kind as to secure a particular item for me? Those mages will find their facilities quite inadequate for safeguarding it, and I shudder to think of what it will be used for if someone... less scrupulous were to procure it, as they are now."
"If you wish to do this, you will get the item itself as a reward. The item you seek is in Ever's meditation chamber, and will be the only tiara you see. Go back to the tunnel you were in when you entered the first reading room, and go down the tunnel that is now to your right. When you reach the vaulted door, simply close your eyes and walk through it. It shall open for you."
"Now, can I be of any other service, or shall I return to my meditation?"

Gonzu looks to the others momentarily before addressing the stone. "Um.. I think we're good. We'll go find that tiara then." He nods and sets off for the exit.

Kitai watches the others walk away and then leans in to the stone, "You wouldn't happen to have any special magic knicknacks would you?"

Speaking to Kita, the stone speaks again. "Nothing I would call a knicknack, but take the pebble at my base and toss it into the fire in Ever's meditation room. It should help you all manifest new spiritual or magical abilities. Now go."
You all march back to the manor; the entrance is right where the "stone guy" said it would be. You turn down the hall to find a vampire and two vampire thralls waiting for you. The vampire thralls are, again, wearing bloody and torn mage's robes.
"Ah, the stooges are finally here," the vampire says. "Nothing personal, but I'll be taking your eyes now; I need them a lot more than you do."
^Act! The vampire attacks Gonzu, while Kitai and Ronin each get attacked by a Thrall.

Gonzu jumps back with a flourish and blasts the Thrall charging Kitai into a dull black smear. "Kitai! Keep the Vampire busy!" Just in case he also pulls out one of the plundered amulets of magic dispersion. Just in case the Vampire resorts to magic.
((Cast Fireball on Kitai's Thrall. One point of party Mp to be used for Magic dispersion if needed. Kitai has access to party pool of Ap to summon if needed.))

Kitai nods at Gonzu and calls out, "To me Gargant! We have undead to crush!" The gargant appears in a fountain of magical sparks and rushes forward to distract the Vampire. Kitai ignores her own Thrall and attacks the Vampire as well.
((summon Gargant, gargant uses Defender ability to pull the Vampire, Gargant and Kitai attack Vampire together. Roll for attack.))

Ronin attacks the creature in front of him, hopeing to hit.
(would i be able to use smash and a regalur attack in the same turn? i'm just asking because i honestly dont know.)

Gonzu lifts his hand in the air and destroys the Vampire Thrall that had been charging at Kitai. Still, it manages to deal three damage to Kitai before its destruction.
Kitai and her summon team up on the Vampire with a total attack of five, giving the Vampire a damage reduction of -6 to each of their attacks. Kitai lands a good hit, however, and does two points of damage to the Vampire. The Vampire also takes two points of damage when the Gargant's Vindictive ability hits it. The Vampire gets a second attack, however, and lashes out at Gonzu hitting him for five damage.
Ronin hops in and delivers a sound beating to his Vampire Thrall. The creature has a very tough hide, and gets a -2 damage reduction from Ronin's attack, but Ronin still hits it for six damage. He then piles seven more damage onto that with a Smash, totalling thirteen damage for the turn.
The Thrall manages to land a weak hit on Ronin. Vicious, however, the Thrall sinks its fangs into Ronin and sucks out a good portion of blood, recovering seven life and reducing Ronin's attack by one.
Gonzu: 5/10 life, 7 AP, 0 MP.
Ronin: 25/35 life, 6 AP, 7 MP. (-1 Attack.)
Kitai: 8/20 life, 7 AP, 1 MP.
Party pool: 7 AP, 7 MP.
Vampire: 36/40
Thrall #2: 24/30
In the second round the strategies of the vampires are much like they were in the first; Thrall #2 continues to slug it out with Ronin while the Vampire tries to use both of its attacks against Gonzu (first 2d6 rolled are its attacks). The Vampire makes ready to use his AP for Guard if he feels he'll need them.

Gonzu takes stock of the loot he had yet to categorize and realizes that they had taken a potion of healing off of those two dead mages earlier. He downs the potion before firing off his second fireball into the Vampire, he was clearly the more immediate threat.
"Kitai finish this scourge off and go help Ronin!" He screams at Kitai then hides behind her gargant, "You! Large furry thing, defend me from the vampire!"
((use healing potion we picked up on page three from the dead mages. Cast fireball all in to the vampire.))

Kitai nods at Gonzu and focuses her energy, "Eisbann!" She flings her arm at the vampire and sends a chunck of freezing cold toward it, following just after Gonzu's fireball. Then she attacks the Thrall with Ronin. The Gargant stays planted between Gonzu and the Vampire.
