Yeah, there wasn't a great deal of internal consistency (well, this is Smallville -- but come on, most shows manage internal consistency at least within individual episodes if not the series as a whole, there's really no excuse). Also the fact that the lipstick was just supposed to make Lois fall in love with Clark, as stated, not that she'd be OOC in other ways, that she lost her memory just because it's a given that when you see Clark lose his powers you lose your memory, etc.

I guess I just expected it to be better-written than it was. I mean I really enjoy watching it -- it's definitely one of the more rewatchable episodes that Smallville's ever had, I just wish the writing for this show weren't so sloppy.

Writing isn't that great now a days. I mean could you believe Lana locking Chloe in a wine cellar to find out Clark's secret? I find it incredibly stupid that Clark didn't question how Lana knew his secret. "Oh you know. Let's be together!" It isn't like Lana would have a good answer now would she. His reaction would parallel that of in Mortal when Lex tried to get Clark to use his powers. But no, Clana is always the #1 priority on this show.

I honestly don't care that much about those other shows. I'm sure there's a subgroup of people that doesn't either.

And let's not forget- TIVO and DVRs.

Smallville lives. It's TELEVISION that is dying. If all the TVs in the world blew up, they could release Smallville on DVD or online and people would gladly tune in there.

And Smallville comes on at 7PM here too.

As long as it's not Smallville vs. American Idol, I'm good. Idol pwns EVERYTHING.

I'm with you on the dvr aspect of the time slot problem. I watch survivor and smallville, just record them both and watch them the next day, when I can fast forward through the commercials. I have a feeling they're moving toward Clark breaking it off with Lana, since he is now aware she's not the fountain of morality he thought she was after the whole Papa Luthor and the Lex spying thing, and that she doesn't agree with him about how he uses his powers. They need to, as much as I hate to say this, lose Lana before it's too late to save the show, and bring Lois and Clark together- first date, first kiss, her finding out his secret, etc. For me, the Kara thing is getting a little old too as a diversion. And I agree with the poster who suggested "Metropolis"- the show needs to get out of its rut if it will survive, which I hope it does, because I'm a huge fan, and the great episodes are really great.

Well, I don't know I mean we haven't really seen much of it and half the cast has left but hey this means more Lois time before smallville itself ends.

There going to come up with some stupid plot so Lex forgets or something. You don't have to worry about that.

Ah, I just read that Micheal is leaving the show..Is this guild that dead that I find out one of the series regular is leaving the show a month after it is confirmed? Ah, well I think this is a good thing. No Lana, Lex, Lionel, so Smallville will be headed in a NEW direction. Not the same old same old that is getting boring and over used now. (Now we just need Joss to help with that new direction). Let's hope for some good villains next year that are actually interesting!

I'm pretty sure it was mentioned somewhere but seeing as only a total of about five people show up now it doesn't get around much.

So I just spent the few days converting my smallville tapes into dvds and it was really painful cause it was boring.

Hahaha. Yeah, I heard about Lex leaving.

I'll miss him. Can we trade Chloe for him?

LOL, I'd trade Chloe out in a heartbeat just to keep Lex in the show (with how much I like Chloe it'd be painfull and all but I have a feeling she's gonna die soon anyways) because as Saber says he now knows Clark's secret.
Man, that would be an awesome thing to see in SmallVille they really know how to end a season of that show. One major thing I'm happy about though for this season MORE LOIS NO LANA!!! *Does happy dance* by the way Foe I love your new outfit. heart
