"I knew you weren't and I really like you." She didn't use the 'love' word as she wasn't sure if this was what it was just yet.
She felt his tremble and start to cry and stood back to wipe the tears away. "We learn from every moment. Whatever you went through has made you stronger for it." She had slipped back into her 'Fate rules,' ideal. She smiled up at his eyes almost a tear in hers as well.

"Thank you..." Sol said softly, before pulling her back close to him. "I wish I were home with you..." He murmured weakly, closing his eyes tight as he let wave after wave of emotion work through him.
He needed time to reagin his composure... And this was not the place.
Home was his small room in the HQ, the door locked to prevent intrusion.

Karma smiled, "You're welcome, though I'm not sure what I did excatly." She wasn't sure how she helped him, but was glad she did. He was in dire need of it.
After Sol said his wish there was more smoke. Karma opened her eyes and saw a room, "Umm...where are we?" She had been inside the HQ before so it didn't look famaliar.

Sol opened his eyes. "My... room..." Seriously now... He was wondering what the hell was going on. "What the hell..." He shook his head and slowly, very reluctantly pulled away from Karma, sitting down on the bed.
"I really wish I knew what the hell was going on... This is driving me nuts!"

Karma looked around, "Really? Didn't you want to be here? Are you sure you didn't do it?" She joined him on the bed and put her hand over his.
After Sol's words there was more smoke...this time kowledge flowed into his head. It would be as if he always knew it, just couldn't remember.

Sol's eyes suddenly widened as things fell into place. Suddenly it all became clear. Looking at Karma he didn't know weather to hold her in aw... or fear her.
"Karma... It's you... You're the one doing it... You can... grant wishes..."
That was a dangerous thing to be able to do...
Closing his eyes a moment, he knew what he must do. If anything, it made what had already happened fortunate indeed.

"Me?" Karma just stared at him. "Grant wishes?" She shook her head, "No, why would that be me?" Was Fate the reason why this happened?
"Then..." She stopped short. It did kind of make since, there were things that happened that could only be explained this way. But, still it was too much to believe.

"Yes, you can," Sol said slowly. "And you've granted several of mine today, in your own way..." He chuckled and bowed his head.
Taking both her hands he smiled at her.
For once, he'd get to mix professional life with personal life.

"I have?" She knew he must mean the whishing to be other places. But, what else. "Maybe I should try?" She never wished for anything before, Fate gave her what she needed. "I wish for an...apple?"
Karma looked around for smoke or an apple, but didn't see anything. "See, I didn't do it." He wasn't right.

That did poke a hole in his theory, so he said it. "I wish for an apple," He said, and actually now that he thought about it, an apple would be nice right about now!
He waited to see if it wasn't just some fluke...

The famaliar smoke appeared and then an apple lay in Sol's lap. Karma just stared in awe. "Well...wow."
Karma wasn't sure what was going on. "I guess that was what Fate wanted for me. It took you to help me understand what my power is." Before he could move she placed a soft kiss on his cheek. "Now, it's my turn to thank you."

Sol chuckled. "I only wanted an apple for the apple of my eye," Corny it was, but he picked it up and held it to her, before leaning in and planting a gentle kiss on her lips.
It made his chest swell with warmth now that he did it. He didn't really buy into the fatalistic viewpoint she seemed to have, but to him, it was something that made her special.
Oddly enough, he'd forgotten that the keys to his room were in his robes.. and that the door needed the key to lock or unlock on either side.
They were locked in.

Karma giggled, "You are a silly elder." She returned the kiss. Fate had shown her, her true path today and she was the happiest she had ever been.
"So, this is your room? I don't have anywhere to live, but this seems nice." She was used to living where Fate took her. She wondered how living in one place would be.

"You're welcome to stay here if you'd like..." Sol said without thinking. Then his brain kicked on and he chuckled weakly. "I mean like... Here as the HQ... There is a free room next door I think..." Scratching the back of his head he was turning red quite quickly. "I'm not sure my bed is big enough for two... and erm yeah..." He coughed, suddenly quite embarassed. "I didn't mean to sound... that forward..."

Karma turned and blushed as well. "I have never lived in one place before. What is it like?" She turned back to face him and put her hand onto his. She really liked the feel of their two hands together.
