Kotai turned his gaze back to Hinata, then motioned the other ninjas to simply go on the defensive. There wasn't a real need for the main army to waste their time and energy on a simple trap.
Teki had once again vanished... though whether this was because that... when still, he was completely invisible to all forms of tracking and detection... or whether he wasn't there, that remained to be seen.
- Inside the barrier, all Iteza targeted the pillars, and unleashed a barrage of kunai and shuriken.
Now, let me explain... kunai and shuriken amount to about jack s**t in the ninja world... except when in the hands of an Iteza. Or leaving them, rather... they are the undisputed masters of all throwing weapons - bottom line.
The pillars, being struck by a display of throwing weapons more massive than most ninja throw in a lifetime, each striking with the force of a rifle shot behind it... would show some grave damage, more than likely.

(sorry guys, limited net access and all right now, not living at home for a few weeks)
::Hinata stopped, her white eyes shifting slightly into the byakugan, skimming over the barrier and the man who spoke with them, inhaling slowly. She stood next to Kotai, easily offering him as much extra guard as he did her. Her mouth twitched a bit as her eyes fell onto the generators::
::Kira was near Shuten in a blink, one hand flicking out, the shards of the shattered gathered in her palm, others fell onto the ground. A small amount of chakra slid into her palm, melting the ice and reforming in into a small spear of what it once was, hardening it to keep it from melting in her palm. The blonde hair girl now stood to Shuten's side, ever so slightly in front, icey eyes narrowed as she looked at the attacker, attempting to see a hole in which she could return the man's gift::

The designer of the trap wasn't stupid...So of course the support pillars had an extra layer of shielding around itself as well...anything impacting the shielding would just bounce off and most likely block the path of some of the other incoming weapons...The only visible effect was this small rippling effect on the shield that subsided before too long...
The same went for the rock. It collided with the barrier, and broke into several pieces, with the only visible effect being the rippling, which again, subsided quickly...
Several of the soldiers approached the barrier while the remainder began to surround the two outside the barrier...
Cloaked Dude: "ohh? what are you planning to do with that spear? Around here, the elements belong to us."
Raising his hand in the direction of Kira, the icicle spear splintered and shattered, only to reform into a glove that fit tightly around her fist and part of her arm. She wouldn't be able to move that hand as long as it remained captive, and the longer her hand remained in it, the higher the chance that the hand will need to be amputated if she were to somehow survive...
Around this time, the soldiers around the barrier held their weapons up and their axes all emitted a blue light...Inside the barrier, an ice dome sprouted up from the ground. Once the dome had encompassed the main force, sharp spikes sprouted forth from every part of the dome, causing the insides to look like a jungle gym of ice bars, with nin impaled all about if they were unlucky enough to be hit by one...or more...
As this was going on, the other set of soldiers began their attack on Kira and Shuten. This time, using something that Shuten can't catch. Something similar to a geyser erupted beneath them, quenching them in water, and within a second or two, the water itself froze and became an icy prison...there was a small pocket around Kira's ice gauntlet however. If they were to break out, the cloaked figure wanted the gauntlet to still be intact...

Kotai nodded once to the Snow Defender as the ice dome rose.
Aisu, of Snow, lifted his right hand and forced the ice dome to recede. It was one thing for these invaders to use their abilities and technology to wrest ownership of the elements away from someone with a Control ability... but quite another to even challenge one of the few ninjas who possessed a Mastery. And Aisu was a practitioner of Ice Mastery.
Aisu commanded the ice to group by the pillars, and flash-froze the metal extrusions. If the poles had any sort of working parts inside of them... they'd grind to an instant halt.
arrow Fields: Outside
Five arrows streaked out from the trees, aimed for Kira and Shuten. In flight, each one of these arrows broke apart into four separate arrows - totaling twenty in flight. These constructs of light thunked quietly into the earth around the two, glowing with an angry red light and intense heat... blackening the grass somewhat and melting the ice in the area before it could finish growing due to the natural energy matrices of the smoldering arrows. Shuten wasn't like the type to let someone else do his work for him. When the water sprang around him, he was prepared to do something entirely different, but as the ice melted before it even began, He dusts off, and pops his neck. He looks over at the girl, Kira, beside him, and seeing she's alright, he reaches for his weapon and grins.
"So the field can't be penetrated from the outside then? That's all I wanted to know. Thanks for the help."
He grabs Kira's arm then, and pulls her up against him, before striking his hand hard to the ground, making it shake underneath himself and her.
"Sekkai Zanchuu!"
A scant second after this is done, a large pillar of stone and earth rises up out of the ground, about thirty feet into the air, himself and Kira on top of it. Along the side of the pillar are small earthen spikes that cover the entirety of the sides, like slightly large needles. Shuten stands, smirking, his long hair blowing in the breeze..before he slams his hand down again, right onto the pillar top, and he sends the needles rapidly firing in all directions, 360 degrees. Now that he KNOWS his teammates are safe behind the field, he can do this attack easily, without regret. NO armor has no holes or places that are weaker to allow for movement. An armor without movable joints or spaces where the material is less resilient would physically allow for no movement at all. This capitalizes on that. It's like a stone machine gun, and it fires fast enough that he's pretty sure their elemental control won't stop it in midair; that's bending the laws of inertia as opposed to matter, on top of the fact there's a lot of them.
Ultimately he waits to see their defense, but he's got another thing in mind even if they stop him. The arm he's holding Kira with is the one he's got his weapon around, and already it's taking on a deep red glow; He's got two techniques prepped in his head, and they're about to see why he's the demon of the battlefield.

(still not at home, brain is dead, blah)
::kira clung to Shuten as the earth spiked beneath her. Chakra slowl encased her hand beneath the ice that held it, pressing out against in to reduce the pressure on her hand. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes, her body slaking slighty against Shuten's, apparently trusting to his strength at the moment, perhaps a stupid move, and exhaled. The moisture in the air started to became tangible, clinging to the attackers. Quicker than it should have, the water began to freeze::
::Hinata's eyes slipped over the shielding, thankful for it for the moment as a defense against Shuten's attack. The energy swirled and flowed, her eyes following the patterns, learning them quickly, finding the strength of the connections, learning to avoid the stronger points, and finding the weaks ones that she could exploit. No defense was perfect, anything that required energy would shift, anything that shifted would have a weak point, she just needed to find it::

Fastest way to destroy what you can't see? Destroy everything...
With axes glowing red, the soldiers set not only the field around them, but the nearby forest ablaze. Not only was this an attempt to smoke out whoever was in the trees, but if they failed at defeating their opponent, the large fire would signal the others who can notify the base.
Seeing as how the ice prison failed, they went with Plan B. Something similar to a high-pressure geyser erupted in the center of the prison and and the area began flooding rapidly. Being that the water had no way to escape, the entire area will rise until it drowns the main force. Not only does water slow down the movements of all within, turning the water into ice won't do much. Even if they freeze it, the ice has to go somewhere, and at the moment, there wasn't anywhere to put it. If they try evaporating it with katon jutsus, the whole area will just fill with steam. Not only will it get extremely hot within the barrier, but the water will just condense after a while and return to its liquidy state. It was going to get very wet and crowded within that prison.
As for the ice crowding around the metal...Creating such shields use up energy, and a lot of the energy is put off as heat. Not only then will the layer of shielding protecting the metal poles keep a layer between the metal and the ice, the heat the metal poles emit will melt the ice eventually...
As for Hinata, looking around, she'd find the hidden tag but realize it was a flash tag. If the barrier were to be broke, the tag would ignite, and not only blind those looking at it, but act as a signaling device. Of course, that was rendered obsolete by the large fire at the moment.
As for Kira's ice attack...the armor the soldiers wear basically eat chakra...and the chakra used to turn moisture to ice would be eaten...
As for Shuten and his large earth pillar thingy, the cloaked figure was never one to allow an opponent to have the high ground. Immediately after its creation, he slashed once at it, creating energy blades that cut right through the pillar, and it'll eventually topple over...
If the needles were somehow fired off before the pillar collapsed, energy shielding blocked most of them. Those that got through once the shielding reached a limit either just shallowly pierced the padding around the joints or bounced off the armor. This however would show Shuten that the soldiers' shielding was easily penetrated after a certain limit. The cloaked figure's shielding was much more powerful and it would take a much stronger attack to pierce his...
((Just wait until I bring the Power Rangers out on all y'all!! no wait...Laijin already made the Power Rangers...damn...oh well...this isn't that hard to get past...))

::Hinata's eyes followed the flow for a bit longer and then she smirked, a rare thing for the Hyuuga. After studying the flows it was easy to discern their rather simple pattern. Energy in this form could bend without being broken, much like her own chakra could, flexible yet solid. The walls surrounded them in a dome like structure, cutting of the top, however there was no evidence that the dome was a sphere, going under ground, not that it mattered::
::Chakra encased Hinata's hand as she gently placed it against the side, ignoring the water the was pooling at her feet. The chakra formed a small pin p***k inbetween the flows of energy, slowly parting them, pushing them gently without snapping, like a child scuttling underneath a chain link fence. The slow expansion would be gentle, as if she were dealing with a fragile thread, easing the flow gently, giving it time to adjust to the new pattern, her milky eyes watching it as if she were reading a mildly interesting book::
::Kira cut off the chakra with a huff, her body shuddering as she felt the leeching. Apparently these folks were not going to lay down and take it like she wanted them to. Fine, a change of tactic was in order. She looked at Shuten with a grin, her fingers flashing through several seals almost blindingly, similar to how her brother had looked when he had first fought Shuten::
::With a grimace her body shook, releasing the chakra powered by the seal in a quick shock, the air was suddenly filled with falling water the soaked the surrounding areas, sliding off the armor of her foes naturally, as no chakra filled it, it soaked the trees and ground and the people. However, small amounts of chakra remained in the water that slid over the axes, encasing them with quickness unnatural even for water::
::she was breathing heavily now, water dripping from her fingers, small tendrils hung like mist in the air between her and the axes, wires connecting her to her targets. With all the strength she had, she pulled on those connections, to wretch the axes from enemy hands::

Kotai watched Hinata with protective eyes. She was doing fine on her own, but he'd make sure nothing unexpected would befall her... not on his life. In the meantime, he merely on Shuten to finish up with this lot so they could progress.

While Kira was trying to grab their axes, it meant they'd either a: Lose their axes, or b: have to concentrate feasibly even just some to negate the elemental type chakra. This gives him an opening. As the earth pilar tilts from where it is, he goes straight up into the air. He's holding Kira under one arm, the arm holding the sickle end of his Kusari-Gama. The end he doesn't need just yet. The other end? The one with the iron ball? Fun times. That's what gets slung at the enemy with alarming, almost blinding speed. He's a master of this weapon. It shows. Using the benefit of his large chakra, and his excellent control when focusing through his beloved weapon, he uses a non-elemental technique, which is more an exercise of chakra control than a 'true' invocation; Genshi Banryoku no Jutsu. This allows him to focus his chakra through HIS weapon, much like the enemy does with theirs, and turn it into power, pressure, and destructive force. Brute Strength. Both of these warriors, Shuten and they, use specific weapons. The difference? These men are in a sense, focusing the weapons using themselves. A true master of weapons focuses themself, using their weapon as a true part of them without the need for such fancy robotic armor. After all, ********, Iron Man can't beat THE HULK!
Genshi Banryoku no Jutsu in essence, is the same thing Sakura does with her fists, only to a much more specific degree. Not only is the release of chakra able to produce force, but it also produces pressure waves of immense power that act almost like a grip that goes along with the impact simultaneously. Where does Shuten aim? Right at one man's axe. Immediately after that, the iron head on the chain snakes around as if with a life of its own, striking at another axe, then another, then another. In a single swing, Shuten is able to manipulate the chain in motion, with just one swing, it acts like a streaking serpent, almost of its own will, or an extension of his, to strike at least four of the axes, the main ones on the front line, and the sheer force projected, he should break them or at least crack them enough to render them useless and fragile, while simultaneously putting out the force waves of enough magnitude to blow the warriors off their feet. It's obvious he's going to continue with this course of action. It may sound like this takes a while, but the moment he hits the sky, that chain is a movin'. Shuten may look bulky, but when it comes to using his weapon, he's fast.

What Hinata had cut and spread apart revealed the makings of the barrier. She had cut only the innermost layer, which had been comprised of chakra...the energy of the outer layers however were of a completely different form of energy, and the chakra wouldn't have had an effect on it...all she managed to do was reveal a hole in the chakra part of the barrier...
Inside the barrier however, it was still filling up with water...at a rapid rate...
Dismayed as they may be at the short life of their signal fire, it had probably already got the job done...but the new threat came with the tugging on their axes and the crazy ball on a chain flying through the air...Several held on to their axes activated a bright red flash to evaporate the water, and then forced electricity through the axes, hoping the electricity will travel into the ball and chain and back up to Shuten and Kira upon contact...Several others however, figuring that if they were going to lose their axes anyway, just gave Kira their axes...and by give...they threw them...maybe about 7 hard been thrown, but with the soldier's armor-enhanced strength, they traveled rather quickly...they were relatively accurate with it too, but what was more, Kira helped them out. Being that she was tugging on their axes, there was a distinct line connecting them...flying in the direction of the tug(directly back to Kira, who was next to Shuten), the axes had suddenly gained something similar to a homing ability...chances were Shuten wouldn't be fast enough to eliminate the remaining axes and protect both of them at the same time...
The commander of the unit remained motionless and just watched for the moment...

::Hinata nodded, as the outcome was not unexpected, but she slowly retreated, letting the hole fill again and went to the other avenue that was open to her. Indeed they had created a dome, but has forgotten to close the dome in a sphere, silly men indeed. She had looked hard at the avenue, as it was not the most simple, but with the use of the byakugan she had easily enough been able to find that one small bit that seemed to have been left out of their tightly done plan::
::she smiled over at the protective Kotai and knelt into the rising water, having taken a large breath before hand. Her head disappeared below the surface, her hands flat on the ground, forcing the chakra into it like a drill. The spike would go down and then, with some concentration turn sideways beneath the bottom layers of the doom. This might not immediately release the nin held inside, but once the spike broke the surface, it would allow the water a quick avenue out::
::Kira stayed close to Shuten, allowing him to hold her up. The axes came flying at her indeed, to which she grinned. Her chakra burst through the water ropes holding onto the axes, easily enough redirecting the axes away from causing harm. A few got close, as she was a bit strained, one grazing her arm and the other her cheek, but she ignored it, the ropes now moving away from the two of them and embedding solidly into the trees away from the enemy::
::The ropes snapped on impact with the bark and her grin faltered. She wasnt at all used to having to expend so much chakra at once and this had surely tested her limits. Her body sagged into Shuten, her eyes mostly closed. She gave a half hearted chuckle, knowing that if she were in the way, this man would discard her easily enough in order to complete the job at hand::
::her icey eyes looked at him breifly, an odd sense of admiration mixed with something else. One hand breifly made a clutching motion at his chest, as if to hold herself up, and then her eyes closed and she went limp::

The commander was dismayed as water started shooting up from the ground...apparently, they had discovered the one way out of the cage...clever ninjas...
Kira's plan would've worked perfectly...if her ropes were the only thing affecting the axes...The axes may have used her ropes to help home in on Shuten and Kira, but their course wouldn't be altered so easily...the on board computer had already locked onto the target, and upon being pushed away, the axes began to spin and continue their original path towards the two in the air...
The commander, in the meantime, had gotten on one knee and did something under he cloak that no one could see...

Sending electricity into someone who wears padding in preparation to wear heavy armor isn't exactly all that smart. Sure, he feels some of the jolt, but a good chunk of it is absorbed by all of the thick padding he wears, and has been wearing. On top of it, he just sends his own Chakra into the chain, dispersing some of the remaining electrical energy as well. The chain isn't like their computers; it isn't a normal weapon. It obeys him. He and it are one. As the axes come back, he swings his hand out, and by will alone, the chain comes careening back, the ball slamming into one axe, sending it spnning into a tree on inertia alone, and interjects itself in front of another, wrapping partially around it before sending it into another one, to destroy them both. He reclaims the end with the same hand as the sickle was in, and he merely shifts to one side, grabbing a flying axe by the haft, and strikes it violently against another one incoming, enough to shatter them both. Computers they may have, but they're still restricted to a single form of movement; a chain isn't restricted that way, and axes, to turn around in midair, need a little movement room, giving them a delay. Physics work against their weapons, but with his as it can weave.
Shuten raises up his sickle-chain and cuts another flying axe asunder, and another, in a single swing. The girl he's carrying drops what little distance is left to the ground. At the most it'll give her a bruise. She's a tough girl, she can handle that. That was all seven. As the remnants fall from the sky, and they and the dust fall around him..he turns his head to the commander, the wind picking up around him, blowing his hair around. He cuts an intimidating figure. He's stopped smiling now. It's all business..and he raises the chain over his head..spinning it rapidly.
"I'm done playing with you children. I've tested your will and found you lacking. You're not shinobi. You're machines. You're not even worth the hunt. Even this little girl would be a more glorious battle than this. I'm going to give you one chance to run..and if you're men, not machines, there's no shame in it. But if you're all metal..I'll use you to decorate my armor!"

The commander turned towards Shuten, and opened the front of his cape-like cloak...thing...and what seemed like thousands of little spheres emerged...they began circling around the commander...the commander's blade was now missing, so one would assume the blade became the many little spheres...
with just a little hand movement, a small amount of them shot towards Shuten, traveling at high speeds...each one was maybe the size of the head of a bullet at most, and each sphere sped towards Shuten at about bullet-speed as well...such small particles would be difficult to block...and the sheer amount would make it difficult to dodge...
