Nahanni blinked when she heard Atae suddenly noogie Edward. Atae? That was unexpected, even if it was something to giggle at. Her brother's presence was soon beside her, giving a much needed hug. She gave a low purr similiar to Hemi's and snuggled him back. As quiet as she was, she did find times where she seeked out and enjoyed comfort. The younger sister raised a brow at the older sister's game, not quite even sure what they were playing. She shrugged to herself before glancing back at Atae and Ed. At least Atae had broken the 'dead fish' look. She felt herself tense and sweat-drop as Ed's glance met hers. Dissjointed pictures and emotions brushed passed her mind, in which she was too paralyzed to bother analyzing. She flushed and let herself melt down in her chair to hide below the table's edge and out of sight.
SA on mule......laughing at poor melted Nahanni. XD

Atae watched Nahanni melt and couldn't help the thought that the teen really needed some training for her empathy so she could learn to NOT feel things when she didn't want to. Frowning, she turned back to Ed and prodded him insistently on his good shoulder until he looked at her. Then she copied the way he'd been staring and just looked at him like that. She was amazingly good at imitating his previous expression. "Fish. Face."
Endless just raised an eyebrow at the lot and hopped in a chair next to Lily. He took a wiff of the food and as he did so his stomach rumbled. "Well, I was going to say it smells good, but someone else decided to speak up first..." He poked at his belly.
((SHORT. XD; Don't really know what else to do, though.
This is the most relaxed I've seen Endless in... ever. XD; ))

Hemi lent his strength to Nahanni as best he could, thinking about the same as Atae on a solution as his mind went over what possibilities there were. Something he would have to bring up with Daddy or Lily probably. Too bad Trelweny was uncontrolled herself or she would be a big help. Keyna could give pointers though, having to deal with Trel all the time. Maybe Peter? Amaryllis' familiar was already accustomed to handling Maree's microtalent... no. What he did was guide and not inhibit, not really "handle" it at all. Hemi remembered Peter once commenting that Maree should be able to do to animals what she did with plants but as her talent flowed naturally the cait could not do much to consciously change it. Not as a cit. In the end Hemi just continued to grin as he started in on his food like the ravenous teen he was, looking up to stick his tongue out at Edward & laughing harder as Atae immitated Ed's fish face. "mmm!!! Thanks Aunt Ginny! heart "
"Yes. Thanks Aunt Ginny."
Now in on the events Ginny watched what went on with an ambiguous smile as she tried to piece together the different pieces of the puzzle. She could guess that Endless told Liliana what thhe had come to realize in their little chat the other day, and likewise guess that her niece had clearly not run away but perhaps reacted in part as Ginny had suspected she might. But that did not explain Edward's refusal to eat. She watched as Liliana's 'game smile' slipped into a real one as her best friend reacted to the belted female's teasing -but it slipped away all together to see Edward look away from her & frown, then only pick at his food. Green eyes pleaded softly to know what was wrong, worried that she had somehow hurt him and not knowing how or why.
Ginny knew her niece would not ask in front of the others what was wrong but hoped it would not be long as a nagging suspision grew in the back of her mind. She could not know about Ed's dream, but I've been a fool! They're so close! What if... well even if not, it would still be... The witch kept her thoughts to herself, laughing at Endless and his stomach beating him to the compliment. Hemi snickered and Lily managed a real -if still troubled- smile. "Well then, thank you, Endless' tummy." Hemi nearly choked in his food as he laughed at that. "There's plenty, so don't be afraid to ask for seconds." Her gaze landed teasingly on the teenage boys. "Or thirds or fourths, I'd wager."

The alchemist stared at Nahanni as she seemed to melt and slipped out of sight. His ears folding back as he somehow felt responcible for her discomfort. However, Atae's comment caused him to look her way and stick his tongue out at her... only to realize that Hemi was doing the same to him! Resulting in Ed making the face right back at him as well.
However, his tongue disappeared as he could practicly feel Liliana's pleading gaze on him. He didn't look her way, merely lowered his gaze to the table and the practicly untouched plate of food. He winced slightly, not wanting to offend Ginny... but well... he just didn't feel like eating.
Liliana's gaze and Nahanni's discomfort only made him more uncomfortable. After a moment or so of more silence from Ed, he sighed lightly, "Sorry..." The teen slipping from his chair and excusing himself as he headed for the door, and then left the house altogether. The door shutting quietly behind him.
Moving out towards the nearby woods, Edward came to a tree and promptly thunked his head against the trunk in a moment of frustration. He felt horrible for having left like that, but he felt he needed to. He didn't want to ruin things for them, and try as he might... he couldn't lift his spirits either. Head against the tree and bangs hanging in his face, Edward closed his eyes. Lifting his automail paw to settle against the trunk as well. With his eyes closed, the memories from his dreams seeemed to haunt him once more. Clenching his teeth, a few stray tears made their way down his cheeks.
"I'm sorry, Al..." he murmured brokenly.
Unable to hold it back any longer, his little form shook as loud sobs filled the air.

The teen daughter slouched in the chair, left staring under the table at all the swishing tails and furry feet. She sighed and smacked a paw against her head, trying to clear her thoughts. Apparently...reading the material alone was not enough to tame the ability. As much as she tried to avoid it, she realized she would need training. A brow raised at all the giggling and laughs, finding them awkard and forced in this situation. Small paws tugged on her red hair, trying to organize all the streaming moods in her head. She blinked as she watched the booted feet leave the table and exit the room. Nahanni frowned and peeked at Hemi, him being the only face she could see in her slouch. She slid off her chair to under the table and padded over to Lily, tugging on one of her gold-swirled tails. Her vision was in a jumble, but Lily had clearly been in them. Her brown eyes gave the older sister a stern look. "You know him best. Now stop acting awkward and go do what you do best." Though oddly demanding, she kept her voice soft and hushed for only her sister to hear.

It was about the time that Nahanni spoke to Lily that Atae simply bolted from the table and went after Ed. She hadn't heard what Nahanni said or anything, she just... Ed was her friend and she wanted to help. D8
She approached him quietly. She heard his broken murmur but couldn't really make out what was said, and when he started sobbing she felt her heart twist. She gently lay a paw on his back. "I guess I shoulda left you alone with your fish-face... I guess I'm not very good at distractions."
She moved back to give him a little room and sat down, ears back and a gently concerned expression on her face. "What happened Ed? It might help if you talk about it." She smiled wanly. "Not that you have to if you really don't want to... but I want to help if I can, even it's just listening."
Endless watched the whole scene with something resembling a wince, and winced again at Lily's quickly falling face. "Go on if you want to, Lily... I think needs some friends right now. I'll... keep the table warm." Not that Endless didn't want to see if he could help, or didn't want to be friends with the kid, but... Ed didn't know him that well, and the two of them would probably both clam up and try to be macho when faced with another guy in an emotional situation. Just... one of those things. x.X

Liliana jolted as her friend left, to stunned to follow right away. When she heard Nahanni speak green eyes stared at her teen sister in wonder that she was even speaking to her. Then they shifted to a different sort of confusion as Lily tried to figure out what her sister meant. What I do best? How will potions help Edward... It was Endless' voice and what he said that clicked something in her mind. "there are less obvious wounds you help with and don't even realize it..." oh! The crimson female shivered hearing his words from before ring back into her mind and shot Endless a look of gratitude and adoration. The next moment she hugged him close, nodded at Nahanni & took off after Edward & Atae.
Growing silent as he watched the others, Hemi managed to keep both pleasant smile & comforting presence going. Nahanni speaking to Lily... well he could not hear her but even just watching his shy sister's body language he could tell she was giving a command. He motioned to Ginny while the others' attention was elsewhere and spoke to her about his concerns for Nahanni. Their 'aunt's' brown eyes widened and she nodded. Nonchallantly the expecting kitsu cast spells over the meals of those who had left to keep them fresh & warm. She flashed a smile at Endless as a form of Thank You, not hiding an undercurrent of sympathy as she guessed how hard it must have been for him to suggest Lily go. Then Ginny turned & smiled at Nahanni much as a teacher might. "Nahanni... In your studdies has your father gone at all into Occlumency? I was just realizing how useful a skill it would be in this household and I don't recall Remus mentioning it at all."
She did not even bother to see if anyone was in the great room as she raced past. Lily had heard the faint click of the door twice -once for each of her friends- and knew them to be outside. The trail was not hard to follow, even for her, as neither Edward nor Atae seemed to have made any effort to cover their tracks. Her brown wings were pressed tight against her back as she ran for the woods was no place to use her wingspan. Nearing the pair she missed Atae talking about fish-face but heard the question. The crimson female stopped running and padded to them, heart aching to offer her best friend physical support witch she did -coming up next to him on the other side from Atae and nuzzling the back of his neck with the top of her head. "We both do, Edward. Please don't lock us out." Green eyes lifted to catch Atae's to share their concern. Lily understood about running when confused and hurt... but Edward's penchant for doing so far outweighed her own. She did not want him to run again. Who knew what could happen to him? And I can't remember if the communicator I gave him has a tracking device in it or not!

His sobs had already started to quiet down by the time Atae had come up behind him.. but when he felt her paw upon his back... they stopped abruptly. The teen stiffened, not having realized she was there until then. As she spoke, he said nothing... but a turning of his ear indicated that he was atleast listening. He remained as he was, unmoving... even as Lilianna approached and made her presence known.
There was several moments of silence from Edward before he finally broke it. His voice strained and barely above a whisper as he spoke. "I had a dream..." he said, although Atae had known that.. Lilianna might be the only one who realized the significance of his dreams. Of all the dreams he had thus far, this had been the most vivid and intense. Although many others in the past had come close to the same level. It was another several moments before he spoke again, "I saw my own death."
Despite the fact that he didn't even look at them, or even move... he was still somewhat relieved for their presense. Especially that of Lilianna's, although he knew that he had practicly ruined their day with this episode of his.

Brown eyes watched blankly as Atae and Lily left, all demand now gone from her eyes. She...almost wanted to follow. Almost. But that wasn't her place, nor a situation she could understand or handle. She peeked at the dark male, feeling a little shame at cutting between him and Lily. Now it was quiet...but alot less tense and natural. Ears flicked back in surprise as Ginny brought up the topic of studies. Why now? She glanced over her shoulder at the mother-to-be, not willing to move entirely at the subject. She gave a glance at Hemi, knowing he must have mentioned something. "No, I've only read of it." She glanced back at the doorway, pondering how long they would remain outside. Occlumency......that would be helpful.

Endless smiled back at Ginny for a moment, obviously somewhat less... joyful? than he had been a few moments before. He nudged at the food on the plate glumly, but started eating, not wanting the food to get cold. And truth was... he'd had so many butterflies in his stomach since the last time he'd seen Lily's "aunt" that he hadn't eaten much, and he really was ravenous, in spite of the sudden dip in the general mood. And since he wasn't really able to input anything into the current topic of conversation... it would keep him busy, too.
Atae froze for a moment after Ed's last statement, mulling it over for a silent moment before asking tentatively, "Your death... from Before?"
She had, after all, figured out that at least most of the people that wound up here that had a Before had died and then been sent here for a second chance at life, or something like that. The whole affair was rather mind-boggling so she hadn't really done a lot of thinking about it. They were Here, and some of them were here surrogate family and her friends; that was all she was usually concerned with. But in this instance, she sorta of had to think about it... "What happened?..."
She suddenly remembered that Ed was looking for his brother, too. He'd mentioned that, hadn't he? Maybe... there was a way she might could help with that. But... she'd wait a few minutes before bringing that up, unless one of them mentioned it. Let Ed get some of what was bothering him out of his system, and then do the only thing she really could to try and cheer him up.

With an innocent "who me?" smile he had picked up from the Relms, Hemi returned to his food. He was worried, yes, but he was still a growing boy. He did keep one ear perked to pay attention to what was going on in the kitchen though. Hemi knew for once that his presence outside would not be the comfort it might be so he was better staying inside. Ginny's brown eyes softened as they flicked for a moment to Endless and she momentarily wondered if it had been a good thing to nudge him to admitting his feelings when she had. It had seemed such a good idea at the time...
"Then we should do something about that. Remus tends to be too trusting for his own good sometimes." A warning lift of her brow as Hemi arched his back automatically to spring to his father's defense. "Don't give me that look, young kit." Was this pregnancy turning her into her mother? "It's not a bad thing. He's just gotten accustomed to not having to be on-guard. I was told he was out when Trel flipped before. If he realized the possible danger I'm sure he'd have been training all of you in Occlemancy. There's no hurt." The red-head looked thoughtful and if she had fingers one likely would have placed a digit to her lip. "And maybe spend some time with Keyna..."
Outside, Liliana's stomach felt like lead at what Edward said. Her thoughts wavered between precognition and his before... not really wanting to think about either. She moved to lay beside her best friend, laying her wing on that side over both of them without cutting Atae off from being able to be close to the alchemist too. The alchemy pendant around her neck landed, cool on her paw. It was so hard to imagine... "Oh Edward..."
Her whisper held so much feeling as it fell from her mouth to Edward's ear that perhaps it would make up for her lack of knowing what to say. Besides... Atae had said what she might have asked as well, and she would not bombard him with questions. Not when he was clearly remembering... reliving even... having died. Thinking of her friend that way a trickle of tears ran down her muzzle. Death. She knew how it could be final. She saw the pain of separation on her human's face though Trelweny's mate had died even before her father was born a kitsusagi, forever ago to the winged crimson female. If she lost any of her family or Edward or Endless or even Atae.... Her thoughts & heart went out to her friend and his loved ones from before, knowing only that it must have hurt them all so very much to have lost him. She just held Edward as well she could, as if afraid to lose him here, now.

A sigh, and Edward leaned back into a sit, lowering his automail paw to the ground once more. He lifted his head a little bit, but still didn't look at either of them as of yet. "Yeah..." he replied softly, confirming that it had been a dream about his 'before'. The life he had lived before being born into the Kitsusagi world.
Hearing Lilianna's words, he finally looked her way. The fur on his face still damp from his own tears, and noticing that she was crying too. He frowned lightly, not wanting to see her cry.. especially not because of him. However, the wing that she had around him was comforting, and helped him explain. "It was Envy..." he said lowly, lifting a paw to clutch his chest once more as if reliving the sensation of being impaled. He didn't want to go into immaculate detail... so he got to the point. "He's... He was... my father's son." He couldn't bring himself to call Envy his brother. "Alphonse saw the whole thing... I tried to save him... but..." And then he lowered his head quickly, shielding his face from the two girls, "... I failed him! What if he..." and he stopped there, shuddering.. trying to hold back the tears that threatened to come again. "... Damn it." He failed his brother... Al had to watch him die. He failed him... just like he had failed Nina and his mother. He couldn't save the one person that meant so much to him. Dante could have very well gotten what she wanted at the expense of his brother's life, and Edward hadn't been able to stop her.

Nahanni raised a brow at her brother's play of innocence, seeing right though it. The teen didn't move as Ginny continued her speech, ears the only thing showing she was listening. Too trusting? That sounded like father, but he was wise enough to get by. Nahanni flinched at hearing that Trel had flipped, and wondered how likely it would be to happen to her too. She closed her eyes, and decided to kindly ignore the rest of meeting and studying with others. She wasn't in the mood to interact, today had already been quite a load.

((Endless is just going to be quiet and eat for now, since he doesn't really have... any idea what else to do with himself right now, and neither do I. XD))
Atae listened. Ed's father's... son? Atae could tell Edward didn't want to go into any more detail about exactly what happened, and it might be that Ed didn't really know a lot more. She frowned slightly, mulling it over for a few minutes.
"A lot of the people that get reborn here... died. Before their time. But not always. I don't suppose there's any way to know unless you could ask him... but I don't think he was disappointed in you. You died trying to save him. You gave up your life for his sake. That had to mean something, right?" She couldn't imagine anyone being disappointed in Ed for something like that, especially the little brother that obviously meant so much to him.
"So... Alphonse is his name? Your little brother?" Now seemed like a good time to give Ed some hope. "I uh... I know someone who can... find out if he's on his way here. You said you were looking for him, right? So maybe... she can give some idea of how long you need to wait." She pawed the ground in front of her self-consciously. "I'll have to ask her before I let you see her about it... she sorta asked me to keep it on the down-low. There's a lot of people who'd probably never let her be if they knew she could... "look" for people like that. And... it doesn't always work, but..." She smiled sheepishly and shrugged, not really sure what... to say otherwise.

Her chest felt a continual ache and Lily winced at parts of Edward's tale -choppy as it was. So Envy was his brother? Half brother at least. She knew of the concept, for Trelweny sometimes made comment that half siblings were all Theron would ever have now with a faraway & pained look in her eyes. Her ears twitched lightly as she listened and her silent tears did not disipate as they continued their journey. The sheltered femme flinched at the curse, not accustomed to foul language since she seldom was around the Relms that did use it. But a moment later she was back to consoling, wrapping around Ed as she would Hemi if he were hurt & nodding at Atae's words. "Daddy told me... even only from those of his before some were dead there that are alive here. He also said that sometimes more or less memory of a before might be within different kitsu, or they might not remember all of it. Aunt Ginny says her friend Hermione remembers things from years that her own memory doesn't go to and her Harry only remembered bits and pieces that would come sporadically" Moist green eyes studied the side of her friend's face without moving her head. "Like you seem to remember yours, Edward. Maybe.... maybe you lived. Maybe you didn't fail Alphonse. Maybe you lived..." It was spoken like a prayer, a litany. "You're alive now Edward and..."
The rest of Atae's speech caught up with her. Green eyes widened as she looked around the winged male to their mutual friend. "You do? She can? We've kept an eye out, all over Gaia, for any kitsu that could be Alphonse." Hope caught in her throat and for the first time since she started to cry she made a soft sob as she cried for her friend and his family, wishing she could make her dear friend happy.
She did not think it, but at least it was distracting her from the confusion in her own heart that tumbled like waves within her from Endless' confession of love. Feelings were so difficult to understand.
Ginny pursed her lips as her 'niece' clearly ignored her. She did not take kindly to being ignored. Part of being the youngest of 7 children, most likely. Of course the shy Nahanni was one of 10... but with kitsusagi that did not seem to bear the same weight. Hemi gave her a shrug, not having expected his 'innocent' look to be taken seriously anyway -it had been more of a game. At least Nah'ni's been more social than I've ever seen her before.
"We can make plans for that later, Nahanni." The witch said decisively, trying not to give into her anger even as her ears darkened with it. So that she would have better chance at controlling her temper she turned to the night-hued male. That mood after what he had most likely told Liliana would never do. "So. Endless. Liliana mentioned that you were interested in seeing if you could learn potions, being a muggle and all." She said it without derision, living with other muggles as she did it was simply a term to be aplied -not that Ginny Weasley would ever use it in an insulting manner. "But I've not heard anything about it since. Any plans made, or what?"
