"I did it to better serve. I was in the special ops military. and I don't mean groups like the navy seal or the army ranger. the kind of special ops the government doesn't let people now about. I was a communication expert. My job was to hack into enemy comm and survelliance, and reroute or distort them as needed. Our whole outfit was given augments to make us a more powerful unit. I'm the only surviviing member of that my team. I think it was because I had the job with teh least need for bells and whistles."
He sighed lightly.
"The rest were given so many other augmentations that they didn't really need. Some commited suicide after all teh different biowares had conflicts. the rest had fatal malfunctions either during the procedure or after it."

She shook her head and mentally cursed at the thought of so many dying for the sake of science. It was sad the amount of experimentation going on lately and it was one of the main reasons Project Echo was under so much controversy.
"Well you had quite the interesting life, did you not?" She should have guessed that he was military. Everything about him screamed it. Her old boyfriend had been a marine. Special ops. But she did not really want to think about him now.
"So now you devote your time to helping others like yourself? Making sure they do not end up in the same kind of situation?"

"Yes. I make sure that those here that were part of project Metamorphosis get the care they need. I have them all scheduled for weekly appoinments for checkups, and if anything even moves slowly I want them to see the biomechanics. I work on myself as well when I feel it's needed. I don't want to see anyone else lose thier lives to preventable things. I also work with Poject Catalyst. thanks to my augments using electricity and electrical device manipulation, I porduce far large amount of bioelectricty than normal. so we've been trying to see if it can be harnessed to power a ship."
Then a small smile, rare for him.
"I also help Project Echo when they need assistance containing or sedating the largers Echoes, like the Hippogriffs or the Fenrirs."

Her expression went dreamy at the thought of teh Echoes. All the mythical creatures, there for her to see anytime she wanted. Well, with permission from Jelena of course.
Smiling at him, she suddenly became a bit dizzy and remembered the pills she needed to take. "Mr. Moria? I was wondering if I could possibly ask you to help me find my room. There is some medication I really need to take in the next few minutes. Or are you frighteningly busy?"

"Not in the least. Come with me, I'll get you to your room. give me just a second though."
He walked over to Jelena's computer, detaching a small tuning fork and a cord, the red elns coming down over his eye and instering it into teh computer, a few moments later, some whirring sounds from his head, and he unplugged hismelf and walked over to her.
"Alright I know the room they have you assigned to, follow me please then."
And he set out from the office, walking at a slower pace to let the young woman at least get a look around, try and find landmarks for her to help her find her own way.
"So what about you? what's your name and story?"

She stepped out into the hall with him and looked surprised, "Did I forget to introduce myself? How unbelievably rude of me." Smiling at him jauntily she said, "My name is Lillia Nikkco, I'm 23 years old and I'm currently working on my doctorate." She took a small breath adn memorized where they were going. "I needed an internship so I started looking around."
Now how to tell the rest of the story without revealing too much. "I heard about Project Echo five years ago when it first began and since then I have dreamed, no fantasized about working side by side with Dr. Trevale. She is an unabridged genius and with my often troublesome curiosity and my love of all things science, well this seemed like the perfect place for me. So I applied and here I am."
They kept walking until they ended up outside of her door and she turned to the kind man. "Thank you Mr. Moria. Or Dr. Moria, whichever one you are. I don't know what I would have done without you." She nodded and then opened her door and was about to step inside when seh turned back to him, "I'm deeply sorry to cut this short but I'm new in space and I haven't adjusted very well yet. I would be more than happy to continue this conversation another time."
With that she bid teh kind biomechanic man goodbye and closed her door, locked away from all in her own room.

He nodded.
"Mr. Moria or just James will do. I'll be happy to talk to you again once you've adjusted."
And he walked back to the teleporter, punching in teh codes for Project Catalyst's ship. and once there, started yet again to hook him up to teh large generator on the ship's experimental area, and tried and tried again to get it to run on the bioelectricity. it was a painful process some of the time, and more than once they had to stop becuase his body was overheating and literally starting to smoke.

Lillia took the medecine the doctor had given her on her mother's orders and sat down with her old as dirt laptop. It may have been ancient but she loved it and it's slowness. She hated the faster and more technologically advanced computers they had now, preferring to use the one that she had scrimped and saved for months to buy. She knew one day it would inevitably die but until then her loyalty to it's older functions would not waver.
Scanning her mother's latest comments on Project Echo, she became very drowsy. Yawning and blinking to hold her eyes open she figured it was from the medication and went to lay down for a bit. As soon as she dropped, she was out like a light.

Echoes fed and taken care of for the time being Jelena went back to lab work of course. She had one Echo that was due to be pulled out of the coma like state that all Echoes started in and stayed in until they were fully developed. So of course he demanded the most attention as of late.
Dr. Trevale got her share of greetings as she entered each lab room, checking specs on some thing, making sure others went well. But those were quick and she offered her opinion and assistance as she was asked for it, and took files from scientists of Echo data that needed to be entered into M.I.S.S.E.D.
But now her steps led her to the main production room, so to speak, of the various Echo species. Each glass liquid filled column had an Echo in one stage or another of development. And each had its own personal little computer. A check at each then Jelena stopped in front of one and scanned the computer. Then she compared its genetic codes to already existing data.
At the beginning of her project, Jelena had lost a lot of Echos. She had learned the hard way that they were particular companion like animals. They needed another of their kind or literally become a pet to have constant companionship. That had been a frustrating time.
Plugging her O.O.D.D.S. back in she activated the computer screens then cross referenced data for a second. Then Jelena left and headed back through the labs with files in hand and took a seat in front of the lone keyboard on the M.I.S.S.E.D. and started plugging in data and numbers. Probably be up all night doing it too.

*BZZZRT* ........ *POP POPPOP* ..... *ZZZZZZRRRRNNNN*
Such were the noises to be heard from a personal quarters room in the Ingenuity. "Geez, man. People are trying to get SOME SLEEP! KEEP IT DOWN!" A routine maintenance worker shouted over the noises coming from the quarters, trying to regain some energy from his hard day at work. Maintaining the networks between the ships of the R.E.I.I.I was difficult for most, having to conquer misallaneous power fluxes in the systems and repairing shortages. With the Catalyst Project developing such monumental ways of creating immense power, somebody had to contain it from overflowing. That's where the Metamorphosis comes in.
A man in a blue labcoat was at his desk, using assorted tools to create the noises that kept the drowsy maintenance workers up. A closer look at this man's tinkering reveals that he is working on....his own arm?
Edgar Rovias had just recently joined the team aboard the Ingenuity. A wide ranging imagination, fascination with mythology, and a desire to create brought him aboard. Feeling that he could actually help produce better Echoes through upgrades in his department, Edgar wished to aid the other factions as best as he could with his ideas and possibly developments. Edgar swished away some smoke after removing his welding iron, revealing his most prized creation thus far.
"Ah yes! I've done it. You are growing into quite the handy machine, NITWIT!"
NITWIT wasn't an insult to the machine. NITWIT was Edgar's means of developing personal defense and utilities to aid him while aboard the Ingenuity. Numerous Integrated Titan Weapons and Incapacitation Technology was the full spill on his arm-fitting gadget. He tries his best to keep it away from the recent military eavesdropping. Edgar was in this project for science and discovery, not to aid the military, which seemed to be doing fine on its own. Edgar believes that the Echo Project could be seen by the Earth military as a means of creating creatures of war, and the Metamorphosis Project could be used to enhance the creatures with biological weapons, like some other scientific fields have also been targeted for military use in the past. Edgar did not want anything of his to be copied and used by the military EVER.
"Let's see now...." Holding his right arm up, the NITWIT shined in the light of the destop lamp he was using. Using his thoughts, the NITWIT ran:
INITIATING: SGSTAT.EXE ...... SEDATIVE GUN STATUS TRACKING LAST UPDATE TO SG: Today! ...... CURRENT STATUS: SEDATIVE: CONCENTRATED MANDRAKE SOLUTION ESTIMATED DURATION OF ANAESTESIA: 1 HOUR CURRENT UNITS/MAXIMUM UNITS: 18/18
The program soon shuts down, returning the NITWIT to its idle status. "Excellent. Ive...*yawn* done it again." Edgar puts his work before himself and hence had been staying up late every night for the past few days. Maintaining the nanomachines and helping modified humans with certain malfunctioned or damaged parts seemed easy at first, but has become very demanding lately. On top of that, his creativity got the best of him with NITWIT, feeling he should regularly maintain or upgrade its system. Finally, having done everything on his mental checklist, Edgar almost instantly falls into unconsious slumber, face first into his workdesk.

Poke. "Trevy?" Poke. "Jelena?" Poke. "Dr. Jelena Trevale?" Poke. "Dr. Trevale!" And he grabbed the back of her chair, shaking it harshly. Erik was proud of himself as she jumped awake with some what of a snort, O.O.D.D.S sitting crooked on her face, and her hair looking absolutely horrible. "You feel asleep at M.I.S.S.E.D. again." A point to the screen to show the long pattern of the letter K stopping at the blinking cursor. "There all night weren't you?"
Jelena ran a hand through her hair and straightened the mock glasses. The proceeded to delete the long strike of Ks and then saved the useful information before throwing the system into standby. "No. I got up early this morning and was trying to finish what I didn't yesterday."
He promptly handed her a cup of coffee and some toast. "Well if you would train someone else onto it, you wouldn't have to do all that work and coding by yourself."
"I told you Erik, I'm the only one with strict access to M.I.S.S.E.D. because I don't need anybody else knowing how to put an Echo together and I don't need anybody messing with any of the data that's in it. Speaking on, what's the status on P-2BM?"
Erik then took a clipboard he had been carrying from under his arm and took a pen to it, accessing information stored within the thing itself. Almost like an over grown PDA of old times. "A little unstable. Seems he may be waking, but if so, doing it slowly. Unusually slow."
"I want a tech put next to the containment chamber and one there at all times. Any changes and I am to be called immediately, send a message to my O.O.D.D.S if you have to and I'll access the message from there. Clear?" And she walked out with toast and coffee.
"Crystal Trevy." Then a chuckle as he looked to the pile of files she had left. "Leaves a mess wherever she goes." Well he picked those up and locked them away, then proceeded to assign lab techs for the day.

James slept sitting up, another project Catalyst experiment. fiberoptic cords and wires went from his bioware into the engine setup, trying to see if during sleep a ship engine could siphon the power to run or keep running. Basically, these experiments were to see if James could be used like a set of jumpercables on any of the ships in the event of an engine failure. So far, it was working fine. the engine he was attached to was running, although only barely. but running. James' vitals were being monitored, and other than increased blood pressure, heartrate, slight disturbances in the REM cycle, he seemed to be doing just fine for now. OF course Doctor Trevale was being sent all teh findings about these experiments, partly becuase they defered to her as the overall project leader, and becuase James insisted that Dr. Trevale know his whereabouts at any given time in case of emergencies.

Rosey was leaned over the restrictions of one pen petting an Echo. Leaning a little more, she bumped a nice sterile sign with her leg that read 'Kitsune.' With her small quiet voice, she coaxed the fox to the edge and pet it, scratching lightly with her own nails, making the little thing squeak a noise. A small smile came at that, her hand traveling down it's back and sort of brushing out a few of it's nine tails. It was rather cute as it wound it's tails around, almost like a dance.
She stayed there for a little while petting it and watching it, the small smile on her face, then finally she sighed and walked on not very purposefully, not like she was really going anywhere in particular. Wandering for quite some time, she found the Dr. Trevale, she leaned against a doorway, hands behind her back, tail twitching lightly, "Erm, Docto- I mean Jelena. Wou-" Then she stopped the question and tilted her head to the side, "You look more..." Frazzed? "Overworked than usual."

"Oh...hello Rosey. I was entering data into MISSED all night and most of this morning. I'm a bit behind." Once again in her office and stepping over boxes of files and stacks of other things. Then a loud obnoxious beeping went off from her computer which she literally had to crawl over the top of her desk to get to and see what it wanted.
Incoming message from the Ingenuity, updating her on what was happening with James and the like. He was at that again...Catalyst needed to just leave him alone sometimes. Of course that was Jelena's opinion. Then a look over a pile of mess at Rosey with a smile. "Now, what was it that you needed Rosey?"

Roselyn's eyes had widened watching the Doctor. She toed at the ground and fidgeted her hands behind her back some, now looking at the ground as well. She became oddly fascinated with the messy office and it's boxes and files strewn about. Her mouth twitched some and she bit her bottom lip before stepping forward a few steps. "Well... you would never make an echo like me right? Does that mean you would never make something outside of those pens, er habitats?" Someone had to have an idea for a pet, though that would never fly and she knew it.
