Zuko leaned backward, holding himself up with his hands while he sat down, letting his wings open and drape on the ground behind him. He frowned, thinking. "Ummm... 'Obsessed with plants, and damned world domination' or something." He grinned.

Sybil watched the conversation curiously, looking back and forth between the demon and the Satyr. "World.... dom... domination? What's that?" she asked, confused.
Alida looked at Avery with a put upon sigh. He'd explained what he wanted, namely, a pair of goggles. But, she had no goggles, and the closest pair she knew of was at home.
She drug out her notebook again, and wrote, They're at home, Av. I didn't know you were planning on swimming.
Though she should have. The boy took any and all opportunities to get in the water. If he didn't have wings, she'd swear he was a fish.
"Awww... rats!" he exclaimed, then huffed a sigh, gave the notebook back, and tromped his way back to the pond.
He gave Aqua the bad news. "Alida says they're at home... so if I want 'em I have to go get 'em."
Ritsu, meanwhile, was looking over at the other group, wondering what they were talking about. It would be rude to interrupt, and there were so many people that he didn't know...
Why am I always so nervous around people? Avery-san would tell me that the only way to get to know them is to go over there... and he's right... but he doesn't always mess things up. Somehow, things seem to go right for him, even when they start out going wrong. He sighed, looking away from the group, in case someone had seen him watching.

Lester grinned, "I am obsessed with plants and the world domination thing is in the past, I found a better way of fighting for plant rights" he said, ignoring Sybil's question since he didn't want her to know what it was and what he was doing earlier in his life.

Zuko pulled a knee to his chest, resting his chin on his knee while raising an eyebrow. "Oh? And what, might I ask, is that?" He asked, grinning. World domination wasn't a good thing; no one could handle that much territory anyways. Napoleon had problems with most of Europe, and Bismarck had problems just with Germany.
Aqua wriggled over to the grass, resting her arms on the dirt while laying her head on her arms. "Aww, don' worry 'bout it. I can't get anythin' fromthe fishies, anyways. The just looked at me funny." She grinned sheepishly.
Sere had slowly cracked her eyes open just the barest bit, allowing her to see the ground and people's feet, and occasionally a face, while still appearing to be asleep. She let one eye drift all the way open, noticing the girly-looking boy looking towards her brother, and two kids. Lester? And Sybil? Well well. Havn't seen them in awhile. She thought to herself, slouching down against the tree stump.

Lester shrugged and said, "builting a 'plant rights' organasation, planting more plants world wide, trying to save the tree's from being cut to paper, all that stuff, but I'll have too do it when I grow up, since no one will listen to a child, no matter how smart he is" said Lester, nodding, he also started breeding new kinds of plants, just for fun.

(( I need to learn to check back here more oftten... O.o; Sorry for keeping everyone waiting! ))
Hajari's eyes darted to the floor, a little embarrassed that he was so nervous. He never liked it before, and this time was no different. He looked back up to Sybil and gave a sheepish smile that spoke volumes that he was sorry about it as he watched her turn around. His feathered ears perked up, trying to see what she was looking at before realizing what she was trying to do. He gave out a laugh, choked to a stop as he saw her almost fall. He took a few quick steps forward, stopping as she caught her balance. "Are you okay?" he asked, but knew right away that even if she hadn't caught a grip on Shizuko that the demon wouldn't have let her hit the ground.
As MoogerMint walked away from the group at the shore, she caught eye of Alida's inviting wave to her, and quickly whispered to the two wolves to behave. Mikadzuki gave a snort, annoyed with her lack of faith, while Gingitsune stared up at her with understanding. She strode briskly to the cover of the tree and crouched down under it next to the two, a smile displayed heavily on her features. "So how are you two doing? Good idea coming into the shade; I didn't realize it would be so sunny today!" she said with a laugh. "My name's MoogerMint. I'm the mother of that little guy over there, Hajari," she introduced, pointing a finger over to Hajari as he came into view.
Mikadzuki, in quiet defiance of MoogerMint's order, remained in the sun. He turned his body around so that he could see what was going on on both ends of the area, and laid his body down onto the earth. Gingitsune followed Moogz under the tree and gave a friendly glance toward the two kinder as she seated herself next to her master.
As Zuko kneeled down, Hajari fought the urge to jump back in surprise, shyly looking the demon in the eyes. "Mm," he answered before his eyes grew wide. "I think I remember you! You were there!" he chirped, hopping a little off his clawed heel, grinning.
He turned back to Sybil and waved back, inhaling suddenly as he saw her expectant gaze and realized he hadn't answered his question. "Oh! I, uhh... I was sorta hiding," he answered quietly, hands held in back of him as he played with his fingers, smiling. He didn't try to get himself mixed in on Zuko and Lester's conversation; he didn't know who Sere was, anyway, and didn't want to make assumptions.

Sybil nodded at Hajari, smiling. It had worked, pretty well, anyway. He still looked shy, but at least he was talking. "I'm okay! Nice to meet you." she said, and held out her hand to the harpy-boy. She was only half-listening to Lester's conversation, since no one had really answered her question.
"Hiding from me? Why?" she asked incredulously. No one had ever found her scary before. A bit odd, maybe, but not scary.
Alida smiled, and waved welcomingly. Ritsu bit his lip and looked up at the woman, though he didn't raise his face very high. "Ah... hello, MoogerMint-san. This... this is Alida-san, and I am Ritsu," he introduced.
Alida wrote, I had heard of the trip to find the harpy children, but I hadn't known how it turned out. I guess it went well, then? Since Lester was talking about a sister hatching? and handed it to Mooger to read.
Avery sighed, then plopped down next to Aqua. "Oh, well then, I guess it doesn't matter. Thanks for tryin' though! So... now what? Wanna go climb trees? There're some nice ones over there!"
Avery had a thing for climbing, especially things he shouldn't be. Like swingsets and large pieces of Gambino tower rubble.

Zuko grinned over at Hajari as he started speaking. "Yeah, there was alot of us there trying to help. Me and my mom got a little girl out, though she's living with a family friend, since we didn't have any room in the house." He shrugged slightly, grinning over at Lester and ruffling his hair. "That's the way to go; peaceful protesting."
Aqua giggled, grinning. "Sure!" Bouncing up to her feet, she grabbed Avery's hand, pulling him up and along behind her. "C'mon, slowpoke!"

Lester listened to Hajari and Sybil as Zuko ruffled his hair and blushed slightly, embarrassed, since it was the first time someone held him up on what he was doing, besides his sister Sarah, but she was his partner in all this, when he was protesting for plants she would be protesting for animals.

Hajari listened to Zuko explain his adventure at the Von Helson mansion, smiling. He had found out where another one of his siblings was! Hopefully, one day, he would be able to see her again, just like Rip.
As Zuko and Lester continued talking about past and future interests, Hajari turned back to Sybil. His hands were still held to his back as he fumbled around with his fingers, but he was smiling back. It wasn't hard to loosen up around her; she was just that friendly. "I'm glad," he answered, taking her hand, albeit slowly.
His feathered ears perked up suddenly before lying back, nervous about answering the question but not stopping himself. "Well, I wasn't really hiding, exactly... I-It's silly," he said, darting his eyes away. But when he looked back and saw her expression, he made himself form the words to ellaborate on. "I'm just... not used to... talking to people I never met before," he explained, giving her a weak smile. Was that even really explaining anything?
MoogerMint was a little surprised at Ritsu's formality, but her happiness at being welcomed was genuine. "Ritsu and Alida, hm? Those are lovely names," she complimented with a smile.
Grabbing the tablet Alida handed her, she quickly read the writing and understood: Alida must be mute. That was perfectly fine by her, although she wondered and worried about if it was something psychological or structural that inhibited her speech. "It went very well, actually! We managed to rescue the little tykes and bring them back. Lester's sister, Rip, was only an egg at the time, and she has just recently hatched, yes. It got rather dangerous, however, so it's probably a good thing you didn't go," she answered with a slight cringe as she remembered dislocating her shoulder and almost releasing Amanesh, her possessor. But it was all in the past, and things worked out for the better, after all.
With a sigh from Mikadzuki, MoogerMint remembered that she hadn't introduced the two wolves that had accompanied her. "Oh! This here is Gingitsune," she said with a wave of her hand to the silver wolf to her back. "She's a little sweetheart, so don't mind her. That over there is Mikadzuki," she said, indicating the moon-marked wolf out in the sun. "He's just a bit antisocial is all; he's harmless."
"I beg to differ," he grumbled, but remained rooted to the ground. He gave a toothy grin to the two kinder, reassuring them that he was only kidding.

((Sorry, MoogerMint! D: I thought I had responded, but apparently I was mistaken. Probably one of the nights I started on Gaia but fell asleep early... ))
Avery grinned fiercely at Aqua as she pulled him along, but he sped up and drew even with her. "Who's a slowpoke?" he asked, as they raced in among the trees.
Sybil smiled and shook his hand gently. He seemed like the same type as Ritsu, and she knew how to handle Ritsu.
"Oh! I get it. Like you might not like the same things, or they might be mean, and you don't really want to find out? Kinda like that, right?" she asked. She didn't have that problem herself, in fact, she was often too blunt. But again, experience with Ritsu gave her some background in shyness.
Ritsu, meanwhile, had ducked his head in embarassment at MoogerMint's compliment, and played with a tuft of grass near him. It's not that great a name... and I didn't have anything to do with it... he denied mentally, but didn't say anything out loud.
Alida smiled at the compliment, not having Ritsu's problem, and gestured thank you unconsicously as she listened to the woman's answer to her question with interest. She nodded in agreement at the mention of danger. She didn't really want to get injured, and she wasn't the most athletic to begin with.
She smiled at the wolves, her eyes lighting up when one of them spoke. She would dearly love to dig her fingers into the thick fur, but she bit her lip. Asking could be seen as rude, and she didn't want to give a bad impression so soon after meeting someone.

(( Don't worry about it, Rime! I've had a pretty rough week myself and haven't really been able to check back here. Not to mention I have nothing to complain about, seeing as I have been taking a while to reply. ^^; ))
Hajari's eyes brightened as he smiled, jerking his head into a nod. "Right! I also grew up around family before I was taken in by my mom, and so I'm not used to talking to others. I'm getting used to it, though," he replied. He bit his lip as he finished speaking, finding it odd that he was talking about his past. He never usually spoke of it, wanting to place most of what happened behind him, but it didn't seem to hurt him today. It was probably because only good has come out of this day, and he felt nothing could ruin it.
Regardless, he figured he should change the subject lest she might want to find out more. Looking behind him, he spotted the makeshift fish tank and grinned widely. Turning to Lester, he asked, "Is it okay if I show Sybil to Serebero?" He figured since they were on a fishing trip, it might be fun to show her one of the fish that Lester had caught.
Watching Alida's expression as she watched the wolves, MoogerMint smiled lightly as she recognized her look. As she had been around plenty of people, some of which thought the same as her, she knew what to do. Turning to Gingitsune, she gestured her to come over to them.
Gin perked her ears as she saw her, and rose to come over. She sniffed at Alida's crossed knee in inspection before rising her head to meet with Alida's own eye level. "It's nice to meet you two," she said in a perky voice, grinning slightly as she looked to Ritsu.
MoogerMint smiled, hoping they wouldn't be too nervous around them. After all, her wolf pack was used to humans and humanoids, and therefore had grown accustomed to seeing them and learned to speak to them. They had been in her care since they were pups, and were always willing to meet more people, even if they didn't want to admit it. She eyed Mikadzuki warily, knowing he just wanted to be left alone to watch Hajari. Perhaps she would be able to coax him to come over later.
(( I've been redrawing these guys, and once I ink them and color them you'll be able to see them. I guess I should at least post their old images in Hajari's profile for informational purposes anyway, so you know what they look like, hmm? ^^; *goes off to the other Guild to do just that* ))

Avery stuck out his tongue in return, and as they slowed to a stop among the trees, he looked around for a good one to climb.
"Oh, that one, there!" he exclaimed, pointing, and was suddenly shucking off his shoes and socks, now down to a tank top and athletic shorts.
He went over to the base of the tree, and began to climb, rather monkey-like for an angel. His bare toes found any little crevice in the bark to hold on to, and he made it to the first branch, and sat, peering down at Aqua with a wide grin.
Sybil nodded. Like Ri, indeed... well, in some ways. "But if you never talk to people, you'll never find the nice ones. I found out Zuko was nice 'cause I talked to him. Well, actually, he was warm and I was cold, so I climbed in his lap..." Sybil admitted, shrugging.
"Who's Serebero? Is there someone else here?" she asked when Hajari mentioned the name, and looked around quickly.
Alida nodded her head respectfully to Gin, letting the wolf get her scent before anything else. She was even bigger up close, and Alida did feel a little intimidated, but her fingers still itched to touch the mane of fur at Gin's neck. She held out a hand questioningly, asking the wolf if she could touch.
Ritsu, on the other hand, had been keeping a watch from the corner of his eye. The only talking dog-like animal he know was Shigure... and Shigure wasn't nearly as large as a full-grown wolf.
He didn't want to speak, he wanted to curl into a ball and hide... but that would be rude beyond imagining, and he was already worthless enough.
His voice tangled up when he tried to speak, and he had to start over again. "It's, ah, it's a pleasure to... to meet you, Gingitsune-san, and Mikadzuki-san as well." he said, and then immediately clammed up again, staring at his fingers as they curled around the tuft of grass.

Aqua giggled, staring up at him before grinning broadly, and singing. "I see London, I see France!" She laughed, clambering up after him, hands grabbing any sort of available hold till she was perched on a branch above Avery. "Ha ha, still higher'n you!"
Zuko sat back, listening slightly as the kids spoke, before turning to Lester again. "So how's the family been?"
