Euler "All right, lead, I'll take that challenge." Oh, man, thought Lysander, I'm in for it now. Oh well, here goes nothing. "Last man with shields wins? You just show me the arena." OOC: This should be fun to RP "Well considering I fly without shields, tone down your lazers and the first to paint the other ship with a "lethal" hit wins. So aim for cockpit or engines." Ban laughed as he brought his red Interceptor around to face the younger pilot.

"Lead, this is 4, I'm having a little trouble finding the trench." Matin felt like an idiot. He didn't expect to be the best pilot out there, but he thought he could at least handle somethn basic like spoting the target. Yub Yub, his R2 unit, gave an amused beep.
"Stow it, fuzzball." Matin checked his radar. "Lead, i think i found it, is it that encampment over there?"

"Copy, lead" Lysander flipped a switch, and his AdvanceTrak system focused on Lystra's signature. The Intereceptor now glowed green in his HUD, and had a directional indicator when not in view. "RJ, tone down the lasers. Wouldn't want an extra-crispy bantha meal for our squad leader, now would we?" A few beeps told him RJ had completed this task. "Okay lead, mind if I start?" Without waiting for an answer, Lysander twisted his ship into a Darklighter Spin, sending a hail of laser fire in Lystra's direction. A crude tactic, but it was consistently effective against unshielded TIE's.
OOC: Darklighter Spin = Barrel rolls while firing all four cannons. It's basically a scatter-fire tactic invented by Biggs Darklighter. You can evade it, I assume.

Ban, seeing the tactic gunned his thrusters and barely mannaged to evade the lazers. In his cockpit, Lystra grinned. He shot under the other fighter then spun around, cracking off four lazer bolts at the x-wing's starbord s-foils. Suddenly warning lights began to flash on Ban's control pannels and he was forced to fly forward to avoid crashing into the tight walls of the trench.

Lysander saw his starboard shields crackle as a few stray shots hit him. Alright, time to stop messing around, he thought, flinging the Super into a hairpin turn in time to see Lystra almost fly into the wall. He took this opportunity to kick in the booster system and loose a few shots at close range.

Epo came out of hyperspace, his BWD in perfect condition, "Lead, this is 1, awaiting orders." he pulled his ship about and checked out the other ships, "New recruits, I see. Will I need to be going after the renegade or can we do that some other time?" Epo smiled...

Ban punched his thrusters and dove under Lysander, the tops of his wing panels taking the shots. Once he was clear, he pulled up and shot out of the trench and rolled around, firing a quick succession of shots at the young pilot.

"I'm no newbie," growled Lysander, jamming his control sticks to chase the TIE. The good bit of fire that hit him would have proven otherwise, had Lystra not been so damn good. One more hit like that, and his shields would be down. He activated the boosters again, using their last bit of juice to catch up and do another Darklighter spin, this time form the rear.
