"If what I have done is wrong, then I don't want to be right." She stood up straight and stared at Stryphe. "Kill me and be done with it." Dramatic, sure? She reached into one pocket and pulled out a small crystal about the size of one of the larger marbles. She saw the others and knew then it was hopeless.

"I only ask one thing, cover this in my blood and give it and my crop to the man with the chainsaw that kept you from entering. His job is done, and I owe him payment." Lame and over dramatic sure, but she felt she was entitled.

*crackle* The latest entrant staggered out of the portal. It was the mecha-girl, HoshiTe, though she looked pretty bad off.The four red cylinders appeared to have mostly decayed, streaming sparkling mist. As she wasn't the last one into the portal, and she looked a lot better just moments before entering, something had obviously gone wrong with whatever it was that made her what she was.

Desperately clinging to the scaled down gunpod HoshiTe gazed through a cracked and sparkling visor. Owle, the girl who had comforted her back at the CoJ headquarters. "Enemy...who?" The missile launchers popped open, and the next time Owle spoke, her voiceprint would flash across the remnants of the visor, triggering the launch of all HoshiTe's 156 remaining anti-personnel missiles at the target.

And Tadashi is blown away by the impact of said flamberge into the ground even after cleaving his arm off, and possibly set on fire from the secondary effects of 'Justice Wheel'. Greatswords are gay~

((No. He's not. My post was editted to reflect yours.

Edit: The sword that cleaved off his arm was Athan's.))

And as the world continued to ignore Vahn's shameless showboating and concentrated wholely on what had happened in the previous round - such as Athan's greatsword cutting off Tadashi's arm...

Flare Sithfallin
With his one good hand, he would raise his cigarette, hoping to defend himself from any further attacks.

But the cigarette wouldn't help him as James staggered to a stop next to the man; almost falling into him as he used both hands to thrust the knife he held into Tadashi's midsection.

He wasn't going to stop, he wasn't going to let the guy walk out of here with that smug look on his face, and he sure as hell didn't care if that cigarette had anything to say about it.

"You don't..." he started, twisting the knife, "...want to get in our way..."

Then he fell... straight backwards onto the ground. The back of his hand raised to his mouth as he coughed another spot of blood onto it, all over the triad marking on his right hand and the Master Healer marble inserted into it.

"Don't mess... with our home!"

And in came Vahn, crashing down on the whole thing.

So much for Rage's moment. "The name is Rage, by the way, if you can still hear me." He gathered up Hiroshi's weapons, adding them to his increasing collection within his sash. He'd be sure to take good care of them. "Meet you on the other side."

For now, though, he was running out of energy and willpower, and the blood loss was starting to get to him. He wearily brushed the hair out of his face, looking over at the battles ahead.

No more killing for him... not today.

His eyes narrowed for a second, considering what this woman was saying. A second ago she'd shown conviction- conviction he'd been able to understand. Now she she was giving up.

Or was it not that simple? She'd requested she give her weapon and a certain bauble to the monstrosity of a man outside after willingly letting Stryphe kill her.

He smirked.

"So maybe you're not giving up just yet, then?"

Before she'd be able to answer the needle would blast through the air at amazing speed. There was no atmosphere to speak of in this world for the energy to travel through- no power was lost from point A to point B. This was part of the reason Vahn's flame attack wasn't much of anything by the time it reached Stryphe and Minxi, the both of which were near the outer edge of the platform. Even supernatural flames, once far enough from their source, would fall victim to the lack of what one could call a real atmosphere. Flame was a physical essence, and neaded to breath like anything else did. Wind wouldn't count for much in this ethereal world either. At least, not this far away from the epicenter of the collosal attack.

Minxi would reel take the needle in the chest, standing proud. She would wince breifly from the intense pain generated by the projectile made up of Stryphe's own demonic power, but would show few more signs of distress. Admirable.

A thin line of blood would begin to fall from the side of her bottom lip, her mouth overflowing. A drop would climb down her chin, then fall to the platform. Her arms went limp.

As it did, the energy that made up the needle, once condensed by force of will and years of practiced focus, released itself into the flesh it was encased. Minxi's upper body was ripped in two, both her weapon and the bauble falling to the ground, blooding raining down on them. Minxi, from the chest up, had been blown apart. Stryphe was sprinkled by a wave of blood.

He place a cigarette into his mouth just as the rest of Minxi fell to the ground, joining the rest of her.

Stryphe would light his smoke and fish the woman's weapon and the other object, both covered in Minxi's blood before turning to face the portal. They were both carried in his left hand- he wanted as much blood on the two objects as possible, so he wouldn't risk putting them in any of his pockets.

All he could do, once he took a look in the direction of the portal, really, was stare for a second.

Disa had been waiting all this time for the perfect shot and now she had it. Tadashi was standing there and there was no one running toward him. There were no innocent by standers. She was free to shoot.

She steadied herself. Disa inhaled as she drew the string and arrow back completely. She had her target in her sight. Time seemed to stand still for Disa as she slowly exhaled and released. She let the arrow fly and it flew true. There was no way she could miss unless Tadashi caught it again. Just in case her arrow struck true, Disa began to whisper a prayer for Tadashi.

"May he find peace in death."

Owle would go bouncing off Tadashi, and roll along the floor a little bit. She felt like a marble herself.

She wound up flat on her back when she returned to her human form, and sat up slowly, carefully considering her broken shoulder.

"Did I get him?"

And then HoshiTe would recognize her, and ask a question.

"Um, that guy with the one arm...wait! Don't shoot him! Those are my friends all around him!"

Considering the close proximity of James and Athan, HoshiTe was not going to have a clear place where she could just shoot off all her missiles with reckless abandon. In fact, it would probably take some manuevering to get even a single clear shot in.

Shameless showboating which one could have sworn seemed encouraged and warranted.

But of course, he was just being full of himself like always.

"Now, play the insolent; now, plunder the God's priveleges and give thee to creature's of a day.

What drop of your sufferings can mortals spare you. We are all but bit players in a tragedy far larger than any of us.. a tragedy called life--

But today, for you, perhaps for me-- the curtain falls... and the play is finished!"

He didn't know what to think, let alone say as his decent and downward slash had been stopped by nothing but a single cigarette. If he had known that they could do that, he'd have taken out his pack of slims and defeated everyone who stood in the way of him and Owle.

Maybe Rage too.

But there it was, even though Vahn had the high ground and some measure of surprise that you would think would not give anyone enough room to supposedly react... there it was.

And he was simply tossed off, like trash. Regular ol' trash.

"Come, why are you holding back? Why are you pitying in vain? Why is it that you do not hate a god, whom the gods hate most of all?

Why is it that you do not betray him, since it was your honor he betrayed to men?"

And simply unable to react Vahn found himself tossed off, and going straight across the side of the 'platform', falling into the darkness.

Maybe he could showboat in there.

At least he could cast magic missile now.

Athan was down, right knee touching the ground, sword stuck to the ground in the process. It was pretty damn hard work for him to breathe at that particular moment. His eyes closed, and he attempted to draw upon his reserves to stand up as James moved in to stab Tadashi in the midsection.

He looked over as James fell to the ground, Athan's own weapon low and not even in a ready position. His eyes narrowed, grip tightening on the hilt of his weapon. He swallowed back a mouthful of blood, and took one step forward with his right foot. If Tadashi were still standing, still alive despite the missing arm, warrant blood loss, and developing tumor in his lungs, he'd follow up.

"What he said."

Athan would drag his sword along the ground as if it were a golf club. Turn his hips, bring the arms up, and all the way across his body it would go. It'd probably hit Tadashi somewhere in the thigh at first, then go up...and all the way through the already partially deformed body, leaving an exit wound at the opposite shoulder or somewhere near it. The momentum of the weapon would carry it up and around to Athan's back, both hands still holding the weapon.

The perfect golf swing, if golf were played with big slabs of metal.

Why did this seem necessary? Because, for some reason, it was never enough to stab a guy and shoot him with an arrow.

You had to tear his a** in two before you could hit the bars and karaoke 'til the cows came home.
