I'm not sure if I want to laugh or cry at this. I'm not going to lie, my friends and I pass notes in leet, but we only do it so the teacher can't read it. It serves no purpose other than secrecy, and if I may brag a bit... my form of leet is far more number and symbol based. We use no letters at all. Though, at lease I spell out everything all of the way when I do use it, which isn't often. >.>;

XxJennessaxX In the English Literacy class I teach, I had the students write an essay on their favourite hobbies. Well, one of my students handed in a whole paper full of 1337 speak. It went somewhat like this: The class clown MY F4V0R173 H0BBY 15 FR34K1N9 73H 734CH3R 0U7. 1 10V3 1337 4ND 17'5 50 1337! D00D! 50 73H M1N1N9 3FF0R75 W3N7 D0WN W17H 73H 734CH3R! 50 734CH3R, P1Z D0N'7 F1R3 M3H!!!!1111!!!!111! It was written in big letters. Straight from my breifcase, here is the essay. I have uploaded it, unfortunately. I don't understand the "mining efforts" thing, what is mining efforts anyway? surprised You see, this is why I don't want to teach English. I'm going to teach Science! I would die before I write an essay in 1337.

My 6-year-old brother would point and laugh if he saw that. I, on the other hand, am about to pass out in horror. What grade is he in? Edit: Never mind, I just saw that in another post. He's in the same grade as I am. Oh my Lord.

If I ever did that, my teacher's head would blow off like the atom bomb! I would love to hand in an essay like that, because my teacher is one of those old "battle axes" where it's "We're going to do it my way, dammit!" (She corrected me because I say "aunt" and "ant" the same way. In class. In front of everybody. I had to severly restrain myself from knocking the (insert apropriate derogatory name here) in the face for it! scream )

Ho-lee crap. I would like to stamp the F- on his forehead. I'd do it with an industrial-strength ink that is resistant to heat and chemical washes smile The only way to make it come out of skin is to wait.

Only there is a rule that you cannot abuse, hit, humiliate or threat (deadly) any student. I could get fired if he reported me. But it would be very entertaining.Click

XxJennessaxX xXSavage NymphXx XxJennessaxX ^ And phone his parents! surprised Precisely what I was going to suggest next. What kind of kid wrote this? Well, he's the one that repeadeately said "Shut up!" in Music Class, even when the others were playing. I'm afraid I gave the whole class a detention because of him... I didn't mean to punish the well behaved! I wanted to pressure him! *Cries silently* sad You may have punished the well behaved, but now at least the entire class will make him hush next time.

Yes, as in pressure him. That may be the only way to get him to finally behave. ninja

My, oh my. To write a paper like that is over the top. I didn't think it was possible for a person to actually behave like that in a scholarly setting. I'd most certainly give him a F- for his paper if I was grading his paper.

I hope you didn't let him get away with that. That would just be wrong. I still can't believe anyone is actually stupid enough to do that.

Wow... That is quite possibly the worst thing I have ever laid eyes on. Such disrespect as well. You need to make up a new grade for kids like this, an 'F' just doesn't do it. :/
