Reign smiled encouragingly at Luna as the younger scroll child started to eat another carrot. That was good. "That's a girl. Eat all of the yummy carrots."

Ugh. Reign was expecting her to eat all the carrots. She sighed and finished the carrot she was gnawing on before she drank more juice. If she was going to have to eat all the carrots, couldn't she at least have them made smaller first?

Poor Luna. If only Reign was a mind reader, then the girl would be happy. Reing just figured that the bags were made to be instant snacks, though perhaps the experience about needing peanut butter might've made her thing otherwise, but that was a slightly different story...

Well if Reign wasn't going to cut the carrots for her, maybe Luna could do it on her own? She cleared a spot in front of her before she placed a single carrot there. She lifted her hand, and chopped down on it with the edge of her hand.
eek ... crying
"OowwwwWWWWWWWWW!!!" She started to wail as her hand exploded in pain. That wasn't what was suppose to happen!

Reign was figuring that Luna was playing with the carrots until the girl suddenly tried to karate chop the carrot. "Awww... Luna..." Reign picked the girl up, glancing at the injured hand. "You're okay..." She said soothingly as she bounced the girl a bit. "Shhh... shh...." Reign headed for the fridge, wondering if Papina's mom kept ice packs in the freezer.

Luna whimpered as she tried to cradle her owwie hand. That was suppose to cut the carrot in half, not her hand...
Luckly, there were some ice packs in the freezer since Papina got some to help numb the leaves on top of her head. There was also a towel drapped through the handle to the freezer, perfect to wrap around the ice pack so Luna's hand wouldn't instantly freeze.

Apparently owwies happened often, Reign thought as she pulled open the freezer and picked up one of the ice packs. She wrapped it in the towel and gently placed it against the injured hand. "See... Makes it all better."

Luna continued to whimper as her hand was brought out and the ice was placed over the owwie. For long seconds, nothing happened, but then numbness started to sink it. Luna blinked, then yawned, suddenly tired from the burst of activity. She snuggled against Reign, about ready to fall asleep... again.

Reign gently swayed her body back and forth as she carried Luna back towards the girl's bedroom. Humming a lullaby under her breath, Reign hoped the girl would fall asleep soon. The kid was demanding! And a bit crazy, but most little kids are...

Luna attempted to get a thumb up to her mouth, but the one was pinned between her and Reign, and the other belonged to the owwie hand, and it hurt to move. So she whimpered and -still half-asleep - turned her head towards whoever was holding her, wondering if there was something to suck on there. Where was her little suckie thing that could replace her thumb if need be?

Reign could feel the girl shifting about as she carried Luna down the hallway. Suddenly, she felt something else. What the- Reign glanced down, then around Luna's room, which she had just entered. Surely the girl had a pacifier... somewhere.
Aha! The teen spotted the item and popped it into the girl's mouth before setting her down in the crib.

Luna settled with relief as the pacifer was popped into her mouth. She was fast asleep even before she touched her crib.
Nummy suckie... Yes, Luna was very odd at times...

Reign sighed with relief and headed towards the kitchen to clean up before returning to the living room with her book.

Luna didn't even wake up when Reign sighed and left the room. Instead, the rhythmic sound of her sucking on her pacifer filled the room. She hardly stirred, but every time she twitched her hurt hand, she whimpered, squished up her face, quit moving her hand, then relaxed once more.
Soon, the eventual wetness of her diaper partly woke her, but it wasn't enough to fully awaken her, so she mentally drifted, half awake, half asleep, making little whimpering sounds as she did.
((Papina: *poked* >.x You think I want to be shopping for this type of clothing??! *wants nothing more then to hide under her bed and die of embarressment*
