She shook her head slightly, sighing as she stared at the stone in her hand. "But are you so sure that what is out here is so much better than what is there now." she touched the stone as a caress. "He seems peaceful that way."

She sighed "What happens if I don't?" she shrugged "Where is the one that wanted beauty? Where is he that wanted knowledge? Do they know where they are anymore? What would become of me?"

She was a bit disheartened. She had hoped to see what it was that had once resided in the quiescent stone. Instead she was left as clueless as ever. Images, gaps in a story that had yet to be told. Part of her biggest failing..she envied people that could take that leap of faith, but was rarely one of them.
Taking the faintly glowing feather in to her hand, she stared at it for a moment.
And on that day...even death did die...
She had alot to think about. She wasn't sure that she was up to finding out the answers.
"Can I take...him?" she asked faintly. "Will he be safe?"
