"You know they are eventually gonna realize that its missing..." Said ICIS into his ear.

"Yes. and then the gift I left them will go off, and they won't remember too much at all wil they now?" The Echani responded sub vocally.

ICIS chuckled and said "I suppose so...I'll inform the base staff to install it, and make sure the modular components are in place in case we need to pull it in a hurry."

The Knight nodded, and continued walking through the basalt walls of the mountain, the glowlights at the base of the walls providing short lines of illumination through the tunnel. He continued his stride, not altering speed or timing of steps.

"Uh-oh," The AI intoned into his ear.

He didn't alter his posture, but subvocalized "What?"

"The rep from the Loyalists are here...goes by Kathleen...I'm running a background check now," She replied. "Play back the conversation thus far, and display any and all relevant data," He added, looking at his gauntlet as it did so, and listening.

He turned, and quickened his pace, heading for the deep meeting hall in one of the primary caves.

---

The conference continued, but was interrupted by a voice like the wind through the mountain valley in which they were situated.

"An attack on Kuat is insane. The risk is immense, and I have yet to hear of any reward for the GLF. Tell me, Kathleen, how does this attack benefit the front?"

The Echani awaited her reply...

"Uh, like, he totally has a good question." Freya said to Kathleen in a flippant tone. "But, like, yah! Do we totally get to mega-gank some stuff?"

She then turned to Archaras. "Arch! Like, where in the name of flying purple banthas did you come from?"

Fina smiled at Sven, taking the chair as he had offered it to her. "Quite comfortable... Atleast as much as I'd allow it to be outside of training, Sir... Thank you." She answered, thinking of her next choice of words. Smiling a bit more politely, she turned her head to look at him. "If you weren't so in charge of things, i'd suggest you take a break there as well. You look like you might need it.... No offense, Sir." She continued, keeping her tone as polite as she could.
Sven nodded. "Thank you for your concern. I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to rest between here and our next destination." He sat down in his chair, and pulled up a holoproj of a list of names, several of which she knew. "This is a list of the Imperial Knights as of the end of the War. This is it now." In a matter of moments, dark-blue streaks crossed out more than half of them.

"Uh, like, he totally has a good question." Freya said to Kathleen in a flippant tone. "But, like, yah! Do we totally get to mega-gank some stuff?"

She then turned to Archaras. "Arch! Like, where in the name of flying purple banthas did you come from?"
Kathleen nodded. "In return for your services, we'll let you comandeer any other ship you can get your hands on, minus our own, and the Pellaeon. In return, the Loyalists, or at least those who've gathered thus far, are willing to make peace with the GLF, and look at an eventual recognition of both parties, when order is restored under the banner of either of us." She said this, sounding as convincing as she could. Fel, they knew, if he was alive, would never consent to acknowledging rebels as legitimate, but her and Sven were willing to compromise to prevent another dark age. "I'm happy to answer any other questions, though I might have no exact answers to give," she added in a not-happy-at-all tone.

Zanatos took out a rangefinder, and put the numbers back in his skull.

"Mountain base, somewhat interesting. How long did it take to hollow it out?" he asked, naieve but not innocent.

"Took us quite some time to drill the infrastructure out. But two hangars, one for smaller ships, one for larger ones." the pair took out a canteen, and turned back for the main entrance. Afternoon would lead to evening, and tomorrow would be a big day for most of the normal men. Zanatos would not worry too much. His layouts gave all he needed to be rid of this place.

He dropped a small remote beacon, inactivated, as he walked by another ventilation shaft, and continued to walk along.

The Bothan was sitting in a back booth of the Spacer's Oasis, a seedy little joint that his friend had convinced him to so he could play some sabaac. He tagged along just in case the gambler got himself into trouble (which he always did.) As usual his job involved waiting for the inevitable call to slice into the security system of said establishment and create a diversion. Such a base use for an art such as mine, Koth thought to himself. My talents can be better used elsewhere on a real job not helping my partner escape from some bums with blasters because they don't take kindly to losing their winnings. Ah well such is life. He continued to think as he was playing a silly little game on his portable slicing computer.

“Hey you're in my spot,” a voice growled at Koth he typed away at the keyboard. Ignoring him the Bothan just kept playing the game. “I don't think you heard me the first time, this is my seat. Now beat it shrimp!” the newcomer continued.

“Oh I heard you, I just don't care,” Koth replied looking up for the first time to see the large Trandoshan who was standing over him.

“What did you say? I could break you in two Bothan, Now move!” the Trandoshan growled.

“I'm sure that's nice for you, but sadly I can not leave this spot. You see I am waiting for a friend,” Koth replied still intently focusing on what he is doing at his computer.

“Well you can wait for him at another table this is MY spot.” the Trandoshan growled.

“You know I like you, alright I'll move. What's your name by the way?” Koth asked, changing the subject.

“Me well it's uhh. Merv, Merv Skaal. And you best get movin' unless you want a beatin',”

“Alright I'm going, geez you would think people would have some common courtesy every now and then,” the Bothan muttered as he unplugged the cables from the wall and picked up his portable slicing computer and moved to another booth and sat down, still facing the door. Hooking up his computer again he opened up a couple of new programs and got to work.

A few minutes later a call for help cried out on his comlink, “Koth? Take out the lights.” But the Bothan was too busy finishing up his new “project” to notice. Koth just kept plugging away at the computer until he had done his business. It was then that he heard his comlink.

“Besj, Koth!” It was time to save Ral's a**. Koth hammered quickly on his keyboard still maintaining eye contact with the door. When his work was done he unplugged his computer and ran to the door of the establishment and waited, they were going to have to leave fast.

Fina's expression went a bit serious as he mentioned the number of knights there were. Her head turned to allow her to look at the list of names, easily recognizing some... Then as the names were crossed out, she merely shook her head slightly. The sith are powerful, but I didn't think they'd gotten that many of us... She thought for a moment, then turned her eyes over to Sven again. "Should I look for others to train to make up for the losses, or will we be too busy for that?" She asked.

((Edited. Apologies))

"I think that is slightly unfair...you getting the Pellaeon even if we take control of it, and us only getting what we take control of...perhaps an equitable negotiation of post-operation assets can take place. And as for the Loyalist Empire, they benefit just as much from recognizing us as we do. As I said...perhaps some negotiation is in order..." The Officer added, his gaze nor his tone changing at all.

He then turned to Freya, and his eyes softened momentarily, as he said "I arrived only moments ago."

He gestured around him and then added "It is good to see that my brain child has not yet been discovered..."

He then returned his eyes to the Dathomiri woman in front of him, adding "Well, Ms. Kathleen?"

"No. I think we should either totally gank the Palleon, or totally blow it to shreds," Freya commented. So, like the Fel loyalists want to totally make peace with us, she thought, covering her mouth. I bet the thought is making Fel totally roll over in his grave! she mentally added, trying to stifle a laugh.

"So aren't you scared that you'll be found out by the sith so close to the core?" Zanatos asked.

"We really don't like thinking about that. Each day is shrouded in secrecy, as we pilfer our supplies from the spaceport. Quite a trip really. You'll learn all about it when you're on guard duty." The security officer said. Zanatos looked at the various screens as his tour continued. "Of course, that should be no concern of yours. We're safe here in this mountain base, and I doubt that the sith will ever find us here. Its not like the natives really even know we're here."

Zanatos managed to laugh on his inside, as his contact originally had been one of the natives describing ships going to and from the mountains some time back.

"So, how's about testing your blaster skills?" the officer asked.

Angel made her around the area shortly after the transport had landed. It was easier to find a closer landing spot this way as opposed to landing the Heaven's Fury itself. After rounding a few corners and passing through a few halls, she came to Freya and some others. " It's been a while now and I still get lost in this place. " she said.

"Oh, like, totally!" Freya said, gasping, and spinning around to see Angel, blushing, just before she gave her a mighty hug. "I've, like, totally missed you!"

" That's what happens when my 1st officer says he thinks we need to blow up a station used by Imps. We take it out, then find some leads for other things and we end up gone for weeks on end on a seemingly-endless journey of making sure we're being thorough. " Angel said, giving a hug back. " But then again, it's a great tour for fireworks. " she laughed.

The streets of Mandalore were quiet, too quiet. Despite the Maki clan's best efforts there remained a disloyal presence in the capital... and insurgent band angered at their fall from power. Now they were planning on lashing out in a mad attempt to retake that power.

A tower in the center of Kedabe stood alone, and two mandalorians sat in the small quarters on the fortieth floor. Each were once important figures in the Mandalorian community, now they were planning on resorting to the most impersonal of means of violence, a bomb.

On the roof Kusei glanced at the two storm commandos that had been assigned to her. She wore a looser version of the standard imperial uniform, and had the top unbutton to expose a combat leotard beneath. At her belt she clipped a tiny silksteel cable and tapped the therm-optic cloaker at her belt then she faded from view. Still the two Storm Commandos looked toward her, their visors being given her position by cybercomm.

"Follow and arrest them, I'll stun them."

"Yes Commander," The first Storm Commando said as he cliped himself into an identical cable and tapped his own Therm-optic cloaker. The Therm-optic cloaker itself was a leap forward in stealth technology from the active camoflage systems used by Imperial Intelligence since the Galactic Civil War. The Therm-optic cloaker both rendered a person invisible to the eyes but also all forms of infrared sensors. Rendering its users completely invisible for all intents and purposes.

Kusei smiled to herself as she stepped backwards off the roof and free fell ten stories. As the target window appeared she lifted a flechette pistol in one hand and a blaster in the other. With one shot of the flechette pistol she blew away the transparisteel window. Then in what seemed like an eternity to her she sighted and fired on the two mandalorian renegades. Both fell forward stunned as Kusei continued to freefall. Transferring the flechette pistol to her other hand she slapped the cable mechanismand and slowed to a stop at the thirtieth floor. There she swung toward the building and pushed off, detaching the cable as she leapt and tumbled forward before landing in a ready position on a neighboring building.

High above the two Storm Commandos swung into the room and cuffed the two mandalorians before they could recover from the attack. As they hauled one of them upright, the younger of the two Storm Commandos whistled, "You know that lady sure is scary."

"Just be glad she's on our side Sargeant."

Down below in the square that was before the MandalMotors Corporate Headquarters Borill watched a parade of Stormtroopers and Mandalorian warriors march by. But he wasn't watching the troops on their victory march, instead his eyes were on the civilians that watched. He gauged their faces and emotions and smiled.

They knew, they knew that Mandalore had been liberated, not conquered. As they watched a Mandalorian girl, no older then eight ran into the formation of Stormtroopers. One of them stopped and turned before pulling off his helmet and lifting the girl in the air and giving her a hug. With a bright smile on his face he pulled a small Blastech OE-9 Pistol from his belt and handed it to the girl. As he turned Borill could see that he too was a mandalorian with a clan mark tatooed on his cheek. Maybe for some of his troopers this was a homecoming, something to consider.

Without a sound Kusei Maki walked up beside him, "It's done Admiral."

"Good, I wouldn't want this little event interrupted by a bomb." Borill answered with a sigh, "Rear Admiral Kull?"

The Chiss Admiral that had long served as his executive officer turned to him, "Sir?"

"Issue one week's liberty, this was the culmination of our campaign here. I want them to enjoy it." Borill smiled, "And see to it that the command staff is granted transport to Garos IV."

Both Kusei and Kull blinked with surprise. Admiral Kull asked first, "Why sir?"

"Because Admiral, there is a... little ceremony that will be conducted there."

Kusei frowned, "And this ceremony would be..."

"My wedding."

((Ha hows that for character development !))

Freya blushed and smiled to Angel. "Of course, this chick's here, totally talking about raiding and ganking Kuat's stuff here,"
