"This is nothing so complicated as threadfall! This is something anyone can do, this is something perfectly natural, and, believe it or not, T'bell, you will not fall between if you do the slightest thing wrong." He wrinkled his nose, releasing the greenrider's hand. "I've waited for you for a turn because you decided to be cautious and run off to be a Harper again. Siventh rose twice after other greens, greenrider, and I pulled him back. I pulled him back. Do not make me regret that." He sighed, wilting, and tried again. "If it doesn't work, then it doesn't work. How will we know if we don't risk it?"

A hurt look flashed across his face before he pulled way from the brownrider. "I didn't say I wasn't going to risk it, I said I didn't want to risk it all right away. Right now. I'm sorry if you regret your decision K'rel." He ducked past him towards Liliath. "But greens rise all the time."

K'rel stiffled a curse, grimacing and lifting a hand to cover his face for patience. However, he quickly let it fall, waving the greenrider away without turning to face him. Liliath would be taking off shortly, and he didn't want sand in his eyes. "Run away again, little green. At least I'll get my wine back."

Liliath moved with a hiss for K'rel, and T'bell snatched the wineskin and emptied it in the sand. "You insufferable, impatient, rude-" He cursed and bit his lip to keep from spewing more out, but threw the empty skin at K'rels' head. "I'm going to write this entire night off based on that!" He jabbed a finger at the wineskin, "Because I did not think you were like this. You're much more rational, and much sharding kinder when the wine doesn't put your mind in your pants!" He looked for something else to throw but found nothing, "Shells K'rel! I like you, but you're not pushing me into anything, do you understand me? You can convince me, but I'm not giving in just because you're being a jerk about it! Because if I don't you'll just hide in your weyr!" He cursed again.

K'rel folded his arms across his chest, half attempting to ignore the greenrider, but stumbled forward a step when the wineskin caught him across the back of the head. He quickly recovered, sending a baffled look towards the empty skin before turning to storm towards the greenrider. He froze once more a few paces away, lifting a hand to point accusingly at the other rider, but remained silent for the duration of the rant, eventually calming enough to let his hand fall back to his side.
"...I apologize," he began after a pause, eyeing T'bell almost warily. "Somewhere, something was misinterpretted. Whether by me or you, I'm honestly not sure and don't care to think in to. I probably said something I didn't intend to say, and, again, I'm sorry. I don't have your Harper eloquence." He paused briefly to gather his thoughts.
"I meant that I waited for you, T'bell. Not a flight. T'bell the person, not what might happen with that person. I didn't want complications with other riders. I didn't want to hurt you when you came back. I wanted to risk...us. Not the events of one night. And if that still offends you, I apologize once more." He fell silent, appearing somewhat confused by his own words, then spun on a heel and started towards his own dragon.

Zephyr stopped the brownrider's progress with a squawk and a buffet of wings, angry images, and a smack of the tail and he soared past. It had taken the blue a few moments, but he'd built up the courage to retaliate for his owner's feelings.
T'bell was going to tell him he shouldn't fly anyway, not if he was going between. Zephyr's interruption made his jaw drop, and he quickly caught he little blue when he flew over. "Risking us is not what offends me, K'rel." He said quickly and settled the blue around his neck with a comforting thought in his direction as he started after he brownrider. "It is that you are so...put out that I will not put out on my return. That you would regret waiting. I may not have your confidense, but I will hold in my decisions." He crossed his arms. "If the next flight comes before I'm comfortable with us then so be it, but that doesn't mean you have no worries until then. You wouldn't decide a runner was going to be a racer and then throw them on the track, would you? I will throw metaphors at you all night, believe me, I can. If I wasn't willing to risk us would I still even be here?"
He pulled at his curls with an exasperated sigh. "I have a proposition for you if oyu'll take it."

The brownrider's reflexes were just a touch slower than usual thanks to the alcohol, but a touch was all it took to prevent him from swatting the blue flit out of the air before T'bell could rescue it. He made a quick mental note to never upset T'bell in the presence of the watch-whers, then turned to face the greenrider once more. "That's not what I'm talking about! I don't care if you don't 'put out', greenrider. Shards, I've waited this long, I can wait a bit longer. Going back to my weyr does not automatically equate with...that, despite what you and your green might think. I'm tired of literally being alone, little green. I'm tired of you running away before I have the chance to get close to you. I'm...completely confusing myself, and you, so I should probably just shut up!" He shouted, final words directed at no one in particular.
He waved a hand for T'bell to go on, then folded his arms, grunting. "What?"

T'bell blinked, taken aback. "It wasn't going back to your weyr that I was arguing with, K'rel, it was the putting out part. The entire time." His expression changed to a frown of bemusement, "Actually, if it's only me in your weyr you want -or you in mine- then that was going to be part of my bargain all along." His posture relaxed, a hint of a smile on his lips. "If that's what you were pressing for then this entire argument has been a huge misunderstanding. But you do come off as a pervert when you're drunk."
I thought he wanted to fly you. Liliath rumbled, her head was at man-height during the entire production, but the whirling of her eyes was slowing and changing back to the green-blue.
T'bell waved her off. "I was going to suggest we retire to one of our weyrs for a cup of tea, something to sober you up and calm us both down. I was going to add the 'nothing has to happen' clause but you apparently already understand that." He rose his eyebrows in silent question.

"It was," he replied sulkily, hunching his shoulders. "And that's not my fault. I channel Siventh."
I have done nothing wrong, the brown snorted irritably, still slightly on edge after the argument. It had taken all of Siventh's willpower to prevent him from eating the little blue especially when Zeph had attacked his rider...mostly aided by the fact that he really thought K'rel deserved said attack.
The brownrider shot his dragon a frown, then straightened up with a sigh and turning back to face T'bell, nodding. "Tea would be most welcome. Nothing has to happen."

"Liliath will give him the location." T'bell pointed out firmly, and ducked under his greens' neck to climb aboard. "Your weyr this time...but mine next." He settled the blue, sending him praise and feeding his lack of confidense. "I still don't like nosey dragon eyes."
Liliath butted the browns' neck affectionatly. You have not. Thank you for not eating my flitt. Only I may eat my hatchlings. Ah, hatchlings that would never surpass their mother, she liked the idea. She would not feel as much guild if she were to push them off the ledge of the weyr on a bad day.

K'rel merely nodded in reply before turning to head towards his own dragon, pausing midway to retrieve the empty wineskin and sling it over one shoulder. He climbed onto the brown's back without much effort and took a seat astride Siventh's neck.
The thought did not cross my mind, he lied, flashing a dragon-grin. You need the nuisance around to snack on when no herdbeasts are available. Let us go! The brown leapt to the sky and spread his wings, pulling himself clear of the beach with a few wingbeats and obediantly awaiting the coordinates from Liliath.

Liliath sent him T'bells' clear picture of the weyrbowl from a reasonable height as she took off. She soared up responsibly above ground before going between in order to prove a point.
