::Have you ever looked in the eyes of an addict, when he's placed face to face with his addiction? The desperation in there eyes, the balmy and shaky hands, sweaty brow, the look anticipation on their face as if they cannot wait to sink into this and how they pray somewhere deep in their mind that this will never end.

Like a war drum his feet slammed into the ground and launched his body forward. His right arm gripped the slender staff of the 6ft monstrosity on his back and swung it forward letting his left arm grab on just below it at about half way through the swing. This "thing" this "object" as tightly bandaged as it was, was now a weapon. It swung at the first undeads mid section with the ferocity of some sort of demon. Of some sort of beast...150lb pounds of blunt wieght aiming to crush whatever stood in its path. A little child shouldnt even have been able to lift this thing, but he wielded it like a full grown man.

Hit, Miss, attack, defend, he didnt care. Using the wieght from his first slash, and the momentum from his run, he swung the "object" around in a wide 360 using his body as the pivot, the 360 soon become a 720, as his body swung in three wicked rotations with each rotation moving every forward like a sort of wicked top slashing wide and wicked and stepping a full step farther inward with every swing.

After two rotations the objects wieght was starting to get to him, in its final swing it swung somewhat low. He really couldnt be sure how many undead were left alive, but you could be sure he didnt care. His legs kicked downwards launching his body up and flipping the "object" around his back again to bring the thing straight down with a horrendous crush on the nearest moving thing with two legs and two arms.

And while it would all pass very quickly, instead of hearing the usual sounds of grunting and what not in battle...he laughed, the type of laugh you might hear a child make when he slides down the slide at a park. Or swings on a swing. A laugh that all together did not fit the moment.::

Splat, Splat-- boom boom.

All four were taken down with relatively little effort, and didn't do much else, except from explode-- much in the same fashion as the other body had.

By now, someone was going to have to consider taking a bath.

The vessel continued sailing onwards, moving right thick into the strom that was a-brewing. And anyone that knows anything about the seas, is that it can be as unpredictable as a ninja.

The thunder cracks, overhead, as well as the torrents of rain that started up were evidence enough of this... however, there was a larger problem at hand, other than the 6 Laknes that emerged from the flooring of the vessel, yes emerged from the floor itself, as if formed out of the ground.

The ship was without it's pilot, and as such it would be carried by the wind and waves, and as it was-- if this were to be allowed to continue, they would steer severely off course.

Now, fighting was one thing-- but did anyone one of them actually have the skill for piloting a ship succesfully out of the thunderstorm and high winds that threatened to capsize any of it's remaining crew?

Harsh waves crashed against the sides of the ship, again and again-- even as the Laknes approached, arms stretching outwards with bloody claws.

Amunet would have problems of her own, as she decided to head back to where they had been holed up originally. Unfortunately a Laknes had gotten himself into the hold, through the hole in the ceiling....what would she do....?

One thing was for certain...all this was much too much to be just a coicidence...

The answer was 'No'. However, that wouldnt stop the fruity swashbuckler. Drenched in blood, he scurried up the quarterdeck and took hold of the wheel, sheathing his weapon as he wildly turned the wheel as to avoid veer away from the storm, planning on going around it or something, the thought that they were going off course never crossing his simple mind as the viscous liquid washed away like a red river in thick streams. He even had to take one hand away from the wheel to hold his overly large plumed hat atop his head, mad excitement in his eyes.

A weapon. She needed a weapon, something to defend herself. Where could she find a wea... pon... Oh s**t. One of those dead things was in the hold. 'Think quick. What do I do?' Amunet looked around frantically in search of something, anything that could be used as a weapon. She reached out her hands, fumbling, reaching for anything in the darkness that might help her and her hands came upon...... a flask! Amunet pulled the flask to her and looked down at it. The first thought that went through her head was, <********>

::The large blunt and bandaged object the child had been wielding had impacted the wooden floor of this deck with horrifying wieght. The friction was enough to cause quite a few tears in the bandages, enough tears in fact for it fall apart if given the smallest prevocation.

The boy himself stood huddled over the large object in front of him. His shoulders and back shook as he laughed a most hysterical laughter. It was like a child who absolutely loved the game he was playing...perhaps too much.

Slowly the nearly insane laughter faded and only a smile remained. A smile from blood soaked ear, to blood soaked ear. The teeth he had tried to so hard to hide, were now fully revealed. Each tooth was a purest white as if they had never ever been stained in all his life, and each tooth came to a sharp point, his incissors coming to an even farther point. His mouth was a row of fangs, from one side to the other.

He heard the familiar shuffling of elongated hands and weary feet. He began to chuckle as he pulled the large object upwards. The bits of bandage which were caught on splintered wood very easily began to tear revealing what the object truly was, which by now was a secret to no one. It was a sword. A 5ft long and 5inch wide ebony blade. It didnt glisten in the light but seemed to absorb it into a dull hue.

Slowly the child turned around to face his new playmates. His eyes...those eyes were not as human as they seemed just a moment ago. His entire eye, pupil, cornea and even the white of his eye had blurred together on solid pool of black. Both of his eyes were entirely black and they stared down the oncoming Laknes. It was like he was savoring the moment for just a second longer before he lauched himself off the ground yet again and straight towards the beast. With seemingly no regard for his safety or anyone elses his sword simply away. At first he made a diagonal cut from the lower left to the upper right, using that momentum he jerked himself around in a 360, and jumped up again to slash down, then using the downed sword as a pivot he flipped over it and slashed the sword straight vertical yet again. And seemingly zero thought for himself, he swung the sword with reckless abandon. And he would likely continue as such until something stopped him, or his target stopped squishing.::

((For those of you seeking to mellow out and slip into the mood, tonight's soundtrack is: "Ship of Fools" by Kajiura Yuki, for the Tsubasa Chronicle Original Soundtrack.

Enjoy.))

The creature was sundered, splitting apart almost effortlessly, before the boy's blade. Again and again, and again-- the slicing, the slicing, it was almost unreal that a mere child could attain such skill with a blade.

However! These enemies were not to be taken lightly. The remains splattered across the deck, the various body parts, all began slipping and pooling into one single point. Using the dismembered body parts, everything was forming into a singular whole.

A pretty common technique amongst undead. So ti should come to no surprise when an entirely new, and fairly large being came into existence.

With a screeching roar, it was slowly coming into being.... Sargasso.

The ship lurched violently to the side, as the man at the helm spun the wheel, in a most obvious direction to avoid the storm.

However, the winds had already picked up too strongly. They wouldn't exactly be in the middle of the storm, but they would very well still pass within it.

As the ship lurched, so to did the remaining people on board... which meant that the boy would have likely lost his footing, if not just momentarily.

It was at that exact moment that the Sargasso would assault with tendrils en masse, to wrap and constrict the boy's movements.

The Laknes within the hold stared at the female momentarily, before lurching out, and shooting both arms forward. It's arms hyperextended-- only to get smashed to the floor, as several crates and barrels loosened, because of the violent turn the ship had made.

The next few moments, loud crashes and splintering wood would be heard coming from the hold....

Luckily the boy was doing all the fighting, especially since the flamboyant swashbuckler was busy attempting to steer the vessel to the best of his ability. But by the time everything was killed, it seemed that avoiding the storm wouldnt work as the storm would come to them, kind of as if they were moving too slow towards it, or it knew they were trying to get away from it.

Now, as the ship began to lurch and his footing failed on the wet boards, he would do the only thing he really can, steer it in the same direction as the wind while holding onto the wheel in a deathlike grip, so that it wouldnt be blown all wonky this way and that or even capsize, all the while sliding around the area like as if it was a skating ring. In the moment he turned the wheel with both hands, his large hat would be blown off his head, and a second later, one hand would snag it out of the sky and secure it back onto his head tightly as he corrected his footing.

He didnt notice it before, but by the time he fixed the problem in his immediate area, he saw it. The monstrosity which towered on the deck. He grabbed whatever seemed to be handy at the time and threw it at the monster with a short aggressive cry, "RRAH!"; which just so happened to be one of his three throwing knives. However, from a spectator's standpoint, that didnt seem like much, especially in this weather and against something as big as that.

Amunet watched as the crates and barrels crashed down on top of the Laknes and she heard the creaking and groaning of the crates and barrels around her as they started to move as well. Pure instinct made Amunet drop to the floor and curl her body around her smaller companion as she covered her head and neck with her arms and hands. The cargo came crashing down on top of her and around her. There was a groan as the first heavy crate struck her and then the only thing that could be heard was the rest of the falling cargo.

::You know, thats the biggest problem with big weapons, they're so hard to balance. Especially when your shorter than your weapon by a couple of feet.

Theres was no hope of staying on his feet. He slipped right back, and like a person who was truly not paying attention to what he was doing, he released the Sword out of his grip before falling straight back and conking his head into the ground behind and under him, his teeth gritted and his eyes squinted. At this moment we pause in time and rewind a bit, we'll be right back.

Have you ever seen water tossed out of a bucket? You pull the bucket back so fast the water just flies out. Thats pretty much exactly what happened here as the boy let go of the sword. Out of his eyes, his face, his finger tips came "water", it was like a thin black viscous liquid which flew out of the boy and into the sword, even the boys own shadow vanished. And heres the cincher...the sword, with no one grabbing it...did not fall. No it did not. What it did do however was take a defensive position in front of the boy as the Sargasso let rip its attack.

Now granted, the creature wasnt launching a single attack, but many, and this sword wasnt many swords, but one, but it was big enough to act as sort of a temporary shield in front of the boys small frame. Big Shield, Small boy. But what it did next definitely ranks pretty high on the "strange" tiers. The moment first mass of tentacles struck the sword...it shattered.

Yes, as if it was made of glass it shattered. It would seem for a moment that this was a horrible thing but if one took a closer look at the shattered pieces they might notice something very odd. Almost each "shattered" piece was exactly the same size as the last. Each was about 2inchs long, half an inch wide, and a milimeter thick, like a razor blade. Now you can imagine how many of these shards must have come out of a jet black blade that stood 5ft tall and 5inches wide, as well as 2.5inchs thick....alot. And they were sharp on all edges. Very very sharp, just like brand new razor blades.

The shattered blades didnt simply fall as one might expect them grew close to each other, like a set of bees after their nest had been disturbed and then they attacked with a very large number.

Their first priorities were the tendrils and tentancles, in an attempt to limit its long range attack ability, next the feet, and the eyes. They moved as one unit, not like a sword but rather like a 2 synchronized clouds. The first whizzing past the Sargasso, slicing and gashing off as many pieces as it could, some razors moving touching each other to try and form a large blade and cut large pieces. The second cloud attacked those fallen pieces aiming to chop them into several smaller pieces. A seemingly well thought out strategy for a inept child.

Now lets go fast forward to our fallen child. The boy's head knocked against the floor with a unhealthy clunk, and the Hilt of his shattered weapon flopped onto his chest. His eyes slowly opened revealing themselves to be back to normal, but it seemed for the moment the impact had rendered him a bit woosy. His head was rolled back and forth along the floor as he tried to regain his bearings and his sight. Whilst his hands felt his legs and arms to make sure everything was still attached. And all while wondering where his big sword went.

At the moment he was completely unaware of the storm of shards that was marauding the Sargasso. And for the some reason it seemed the shards meant to keep it that way.::

The waves trashed and foamed against the deck, causing a fine spray of seawtaer to rain down upon the remaining "Crew". The hazards of the ship were going to become more and more apparent, as flooring would not be so secure, loose cargo would be rolling to and fro, as well as the dead bodies.

Whatever didn't get washed away and into the sea, could be definitely seen rolling about, every which way.

The Sargasso let out a behemoth of a wail, as it found one it's large eyes, punctured by....a throwing knife?

The momentary moment it took to cry out, was when the boy's "thousand blades" technique began hacking away at it's tendrils, en masse.

Enraged, it brought it's remaining stump of an arm forward, aiming to smash it right atop the boy, while aiming to fend off the"blades" with it's other arm, finding itself quickly getting cut down.

By the time it would get anywhere near the boy of course, perhaps nothing would be left of it?

Well, luck always did follow the weird swashbuckler around, no matter if it was good or bad. And here would be a demonstration of good luck, as his random throw seemed to do something to the large creature. He would have congradulated himself then and there if he wasnt suddenly distracted by a great gust of wind which almost took his hat off his head if he hadn't placed an arm over it to keep it secure.

However, in the wake of his good luck, it was certainly always followed by bad luck. Something slid along the deck and hit him in the shin, as as he cried out with a whiney "OOOWWWW...", his grip on the wheel slipped and he fell across the deck as the rush of sea water pushed him towards the railing, which he of course hit and held on tightly so that he wouldnt be thrown overboard.

Now, with no-one at the wheel, who was going to control the large vessel?

::Maybe? But no one could be sure.

The boy was trying to desperately to stand, and get a clear enough visage of what was making all that noise. But his eyes were still foggy from the heavy hit. He managed to work his way to his feet, but the violent rock of the boat knocked him straight back and onto his back as the heavy wad of undead flesh slammed into the spot he was standing at just second ago.

Seeing the creature fallen, the tiny blades moved with lightning speed back to wence they came. Hearing the loud clank of the swords hilt hitting the floor the boy had grabbed the hilt and was beginning to lift it as the pieces began flying back into place, first forming the outer rim, and then the inner, and just barely re-completely construction as the boy leaned the weapon forward and used it as a crutch to gain his balance.

His eyes finally cleared as he shook his head back and forth to set his marbles straight, and he took in an eye full of dead...dead. Glee covered his face! A bright smile as he thrust his big sword into the air and shouted to all that cared.::

Off in a particular part of the sea, where no one cared to be at that given moment, there was a boy, enjoying himself pointlessly. Sure, people were near, and the boy knew this as he heard someone screaming something about doing something. Not that he payed it any mind, nor would the other be inclined in any way to notice this boy.

Soft brown hair fell into his eyes as he stared blankly into the mists of the sea with his eyes of a soft blue hue. His slightly tanned skinned sparkled a bit with the liquid that had formed on his skin, while he managed to seem perfectly serene. The mood was set as his fragile form stayed motionless, save for his lips which vaguely moved back and forth over a harmonica, held in place by both hands. The only thing shielding him and the prying eyes of no one was a pair of shorts, and some sandals.

The music made the scene all the more relaxing and carefree, matching skills with that of mozart, or bach, or even Elwood Blues. It came as a sound that was often played out in the games which had you scuttle accross a beach, much like those squaresoft games everyone fanboyed and fangirled over. He seemed to be enjoying it, to the point that he didn't notice that the sail of his rather small boat had ripped, and that he was drifting this way and that aimlessly. Either he rather enjoyed himself, or he didn't seem to care what happened to him.

It seemed that the creatures abound and about did not cae to bother the boy, for whatever odd reason. In fact, it seemed the wind itself sat deftly still near him. of course, it was merely a vague area, making the waves soft and Serene around him, despite the large waves this around him. Of course, the waves weren't all that big to begin with, so there was no particularly strong attempt to stop them.

All in all, he seemed to be in his own little world, staring off into nothingness, playing soft music that matched the greats, enjoying his life as it was.
