Recently Finished: The Target, by Catherine Coulter; Abduction, by Peg Kehret; The Feverbird's Claw, by Jane Kurtz Currently Reading: Webmage, by Kelly McCullough; The Naming, by Alison Croggon
So, while I was away, I did a bit of reading. 3nodding Well, a lot of reading. It made me very happy.
The Target was an amazing book. I can't wait to get started on the rest of the Coulter books that I have...And, while I was away, I picked up a paperback copy of the book at a flea market for a dollar fifty. whee
Abduction was pretty neat, especially since I happen to really like that sort of thing. I thought thing was a bit rushed towards the end, but not all that much, and certainly not enough to stop me from enjoying the book.
The Feverbird's Claw was a good book as well, though even more rushed than the last one I read, especially the ending. I thought they went from place to place a bit too fast, but the storyline was still interesting, and I liked the characters.
No more comments on Webmage.
I haven't gotten all that far in The Naming, but I still like it a lot, and will continue reading, hoping that it's as good as it's been so far.
While I was away, I lost a Star Wars book that I bought along with most of the rest of the books I had been reading. emo No one returned it... I never even got to read it...

I had started and finished a book that hasn't even been published yet. I wa so into it I stayed up for like 6 hours finishing it.I was reading the manuskript because my aunt is a publisher and asked me to read it and tell her what I thought about it and any suggestions I had. It's called Jessica's Guide To Dating On The Dark Side. It was sooooo good and parts of it were stuck in my head at school and kept repeating over and over again. oh and also I'm getting $100 for reading it

Recently Finished: Volumes 1 - 5 of Angelic Layer Currently Reading: Webmage, by Kelly McCullough; The Naming, by Alison Croggon; Uglies, by Scott Westerfeld
Honestly, I'm not too sure I'll ever pick Webmage back up. I keep getting distracted! As for The Naming, I'll definitely get back to that as soon as I'm done with the one I'm reading right now.
I picked up Uglies after reading the first few pages of my friend's copy. She got it because it's going to be one of the books in my library's book discussion, and so I got a free copy for signing up. 3nodding May or may not go to the discussion - depends on if I have things to do that day or not. I'm really liking the book, even though I originally didn't like the sound of it.

I just finished When Rabbit Howls by Truddi Chase, and it was incredible. Truddi Chase has Multiple Personality Disorder caused by extreme physical and sexual abuse she suffered as a child, and the book is actually written by her "persons." It's an autobiographical account of her experience in therapy, learning she has MPD and such. Actually the pronoun "she" isn't entirely accurate, but it's complicated. I highly reccommend it.
Right now I'm reading Don Quixote and it is also excellent. Very funny and entertaining. Before starting I thought I would be likely to lose interest before finishing all 1000 pages of it, but I'm about one third of the way through and haven't been bored once.

Must read... and my TBR list grows ever longer. sweatdrop I am still reading The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. I wasn't sure if it was something that I would really like at first, but I've enjoyed it for the most part. Although I don't particularly like some of those stories that have nothing to do with Mowgli with the exception of "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi". I would like to mention how much I adore Bageera! He's quite sarcastic at times.

Finished: The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling The characters are so different from any film version that I have seen. Kaa is actually pretty cool, as well as the fact that he and Mowgli are good friends. As I said before, I adore Bagheera.
Currently Reading: The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne & Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill Hawthorne's archaic prose style really appeals to me for some reason. Maybe I just like to see characters in agony from their sinful ways... Hill's book is so strange. I got to the point where he purchases the haunted suit from the Internet's E-Bay clone site and has just seen the ghost for the first time. I must say that this is going to be an interesting read to say the least. We all want to buy ghosts off the Internet, correct? xd

I have finished reading the Cry of Icemark by Stuart Hill, now I am reading The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas for School and am reading Wild Magic by Jude Fisher because I want to heart
Cry of the Icemark was an amazing book. I absolutely adored the plots, storyline, and especially the growing love between the two main characters 3nodding I would deffinatley reccomend reading the Icemark Chronicles Series by Stuart Hill.
The Count of Monte Cristo is an alright book, I read the short story and thought it was somewhat interesting. So far I haven't really gotten intrigued with the book, and I usually do with most books I read. I will most likely trudge through this book like I did To Kill A Mockingbird sweatdrop
Wild Magic is the sequal to the book called Sorcery Rising. I can't seem to put this book down! I absolutely love everything about it. There are some parts which are terribly graphic and horrifying, but once you get past them, and past the urge to throw up, it's not so bad heart I'm really interested in finding out what happens to Tanto, what happens between Tam and Katla as well as Katla and Saro, and also what happens between other characters like Aran, Ravn, and The Rosa Eldi 3nodding I would reccomend this series to people who can handle scenes that refer to/describe sex scenes. If you can't, then the first chapter in Sorcery Rising, as well as in other chapters throughout both books, will be very hard for you to deal with. I have read Sorcery Rising and loved it, there were minor scenes, but not too many. And they were brief, so it won't be too hard to get through if it bothers you 3nodding I am on chapter 7 of Wild Magic and so far there have only been a few scenes, but one is a flashback from the first book. So it was very brief. NOTE: There are three books in this series, the 3rd one I believe is called The Rose of the World. But I'm not sure, you'll have to look up the Fool's Gold Series by Stuart Hill if you are interesting in reading this series 3nodding

Finished: One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey. I really enjoyed this book. I got it for Christmas from a friend, wrapped up in newspaper. What I liked best is the fact that I couldn't compare it to any other work I had read before. Perhaps if I read more of his work I would draw comparisons, but it was such a original and refreshing book!
Finished: A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. heart Just.... heart Absolutely fantastic.
Currently Reading: The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub. I'm only a few chapters into it, but it seems really good. I bought the sequel at the same time I bought this, so hopefully I'll be reading that soon.

Recently Finished: Uglies, by Scott Westerfeld; Pretties, by Scott Westerfeld Currently Reading: Webmage, by Kelly McCullough; The Naming, by Alison Croggon; Star Wars: Tatooine Ghost, by Troy Denning; The Scarlet Letter, by Nathaniel Hawthorne
Uglies and Pretties were fairly good (the first better than the second, in my opinion), and I plan to read the third book in the series, though I dunno how much I'll like it.
No further comments on Webmage. For The Naming, I basically just keep getting distracted...And then, when I get back to it, I can't concentrate on the book for some reason.
I guess this counts, but I'm also reading The Scarlet Letter in my English class. Personally, I can't stand the book. I can't concentrate on it hard enough to absorb everything, and then I have to take these stupid quizzes on the book that are probably going to bring my grade down a lot, which ticks me off. I'm currently up to chapter 14, and while I've gotten into it a little more than from the beginning, I still don't want to read the book.
As for Tatooine Ghost....I'm very happy to be reading this book. This is the Star Wars book that I lost while away (I mentioned it in a different post), though I did have to go out and buy a second copy of it (the store also had the same bookmark I lost! ^ ^). It's awesome.
