Aww... I luv you. You're so awesome, of course we're always here for you!

Well... not literally always... but. You know what I mean!

yep i know what you mean, and i thank you. heart

I am so happy this is the only Guild i usually spend my time in. sweatdrop

It's pretty much the only guild I hang around in, too.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 14, 2006 6:41 am

It's the only guild I'm active in, and the only place on Gaia I go these days are the shops, and the guilds.

Sakki, you're right about the money thing. I just was worried that this topic was getting away from the race issue, and into the topic of general appearances, which there are other threads for, I believe. They might be old, though, so feel free to start new ones. I don't remember seeing you around before this, so a belated welcome to this guild. ^__^

Of course, I could just be really forgetful, since I've been rather stressed lately, so I'm sorry if you've been around for a long time, and I didn't realize it.

Well, I'm glad that you're posting. ^__^

I pretty much just made it home before a large windstorm blew through, last night. People on the plane were worried that we'd be too late. Today, most places around where I live have no power. It's lucky that my part of the city does. I remember a large windstorm when I was a kid, but this one was stronger, and did a lot more damage. At least it didn't come after an icestorm, because that would have been even more destructive.

Considering Lolita was inspired by Rococo/Victorian fashion, and that Japanese Lolita's tend to make themselves as white as possible, I've always found that view incredibly funny. ._.'

Just tell her youre great-great-great(etc) grandwhatever was Japanese, anyone dim enough to think your race can dictacte whether or not you can properly take part in a fashion should be dim enough to believe that. =P

*cracks up* I use that alllllll the time. XD People ask me why I'm into Japanese stuff and I've just taken to telling them my grandma's grandma was Japanese and I'm trying to reconnect with my long lost heritage. My peers think it's quite noble.

I think they're quite dim. 3nodding *German/Polish*

But people are dumb with that "you can't do that cause you're not Asian" crappu. *shakes head* If I dressed in Wa-Loli everyday, I could see someone getting that impression. But WHAT in Buddha's sock is so Asian about frills and lace?! It's a billion percent European!!!!!! gonk

xd I suppose this would give me a broader range of clothing styles to choose from, my being Irish/French/Swiss/English/African American/Native American. And hey, since it's believed the Native Americans originally came from Asia, I guess it's then okay for me to dress partly Lolita? xd

I just had the funniest picture of a lolita wearing a feather headdress. Can you imagine lolita moccasons? XD

I'm such a huge mixture of ethnicities, but I mostly only mention the most recent, and prominent ones, which are Swedish/Norwegian, and Scottish. Apparently, Scandinavian people have some asian in them, perhaps from people coming from the far reaches of Russia, or all the travelling they did, so therefore, I must be a true lolita. >.>

Hey, Loli moccasons might not be such a bad idea.. Maybe the brownish leater shoes, platform-high-heeled, knee heigh, with some feather accents dangling off the side, and fully laced up the front with a beaded tuqouise bow. xp that'd be sweet.

@ Pearl...i know, alot of stuff has been happening to me lately, but oh well...believe me there is so much more going on. I think its because alot of my friends are backstabbing one another and they want me to choose sides. sweatdrop

Everyone, thank you. I am printing out all of your entries and showing my friend these entries...

...she got me angry again to day, wearing heavy eyeliner all around her eye, red eyeliner smeared on the bottom, chain pants and her hair dyed black wtih random roots, tips and spotches red. But today really got me mad, my little sister who is into...uhm... confused Japanese styled punk is coming to the Dir En Grey Concert with me and my friend Ami [the evil one] started getting mad at her and saying she doesn't deserve to go. Isn't that ignorant?

If I were you, I'd say something like,"And just what are the requiremnts for going to a dir en Grey concert? Formal dress optional?".. I don't remember ever hearing about someone being turned away from a DeG concert for dressing punk (or whatever you want to call it), nor for being not Asian... Obviously with them holding concerts in places outside of Asia, they expect not asian people to show up...

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that asside from the whole 'non japanese people can't be lolita' nonsense, wearing lolita to a Diru concert isn't a real good idea ^^;; Not only could your nice clothes get messed up in the mosh pit *made the mistake of wearing lolita to a concert once D:*- especially if your wearing platforms!- but Dir en grey has said in an interview that they're not that fond of lolita fashion.

That's true about concert wear. If I were going to a large concert I would probably wear my favourite megatokyo tshirt and a casual skirt and sneaker mary janes. My casual clothing is pretty much concerned with games, webcomics, and the like.

I really don't care what my favourite artists' fashion tastes are, though, because I'm going to wear what I like when I listen to their music normally, so why should I change myself just because I'm going to see them live? I'm not going to meet them personally, and even if I did, I'm not interesting in putting on fronts.

Same here. The only concert I would really consider wearing loli to are Moi dix Mois. Well, I guess it's just logical that you'd wear lolita infront of Mana, hahaha. And it's not like M10M has much for violent fans. Sure, there's a lot of squishing towards the front, but its not a mosh pit.

I'm going to a Diru concert on Valentines day (of course I'm dragging my boyfriend along! lol) and I'm just going to wear my X Japan hoodie, casual pants, and my kitty-ears hat. I'll be waiting all day in the cold outside the venue, so I might as well be comfy, right?

If Diru concerts weren't so... mosh-ie, then I might wear lolita, even if they don't like lolita. I'm not going to please them, really, I'm going because I want to go and have fun. Who cares what they think about me? I'm one in a bazillion fans.

xDD I'm going to see them too when they come by SF! The reason I mentioned that they dislike the fashion is because if you manage to get a spot near the stage, you've become a prime target for Kyo to vomit blood/spit water all over your expensive lolita clothes!

Ehhhhh....

I'll be standing outside for *counts*... eleven hours. I would die if I wore lolita! Do you have any idea how effing cold it gets up here in February? Somtimes it gets so cold that if you're outside for ten minutes, any eposed flesh is in danger of getting frostbite.

I do not want to lose my legs to frostbite. I'm already shorter than Kyo as it is. lol

Wish me luck on not dying of hypothermea. hahaha.
