Hok'ee leaned into Chu's nuzzle, equally as loving. He then watched in awe as everthing happened so fast. One by one, they were emerging from the baskets in their own way. He leaned forward to the one that was having difficultys and tipped the basket over a bit. He then nudged his legs back through the weave of the basket.
The tangled foal fell to the grass, as he was finally free from the basket. He looked around and then smiled at his mother with a big grin. He didn't realize it yet, but he thought she was beautiful.
Hok'ee opened his mouth and inhaled. "Loook dear!! Two colts and a filly!!" He studied the black colt with the spotted back legs. "I'd like to name this one, Vasu'Raj." he said in a matter-of-fact tone. Like the name was already known.
Vasu paid his father no mind, he was still paying attention to his mom. He had no clue that he was just given a name.

The little filly looked up at her mother and slowly tried to get to her feet. On her first attempt her legs not used to it after being confined in the little basket and she wobbled before falling down whinnying softly. She tried again but still could not seem to get the hang of it yet and fell down again bumping into her father lightly as she fell.

Chu gave a nod to her mate as she inspected all three foals carefully. Her bright green eyes turned to Vasu'Raj as Hok'ee named him. The little colt was staring at her. She wasn't sure if it was because he was curious or he just didn't understand. Leaning forward she rubbed her cheek against the top of his head lovingly. "Ok then. I suppose I'll name the other two." Glancing at the last two that were unnamed, she nodded lightly. "This colt will be named Yiska. And I think Shadi will do for the filly. What do you think?"
Yiska placed all four hooves flat onto the ground. His knees were bent as started to raise himself up to his full highth. Which really wasn't that tall at all. Giving a few wobbly steps, he started to gain a bit of momentum when he tripped over his spindly little legs and fell on his butt inbetween Chu's front legs. Looking up, he gave her a small sheepish grin.

Hok'ee smiled and licked Chu'mana's cheek. "I think those names are perfect. Yiska, Shadi, and Vasu'Raj, we'll call him Vasu for short. I can't believe how spectacular they all are!"
Vasu giggled at his mother's touch. He leaned into her cheek and lost his balance, almost toppling forward. He put one foot forward and then looked at it. He guessed he could stand on those. He put the other out in front of him and then rose to his feet. He stood with his front legs spread as far as possible from his back legs. He was balanced, but if he moved, he'd probably fall. He grinned at his mom, waiting for her to notice what he had accomplished.

Shadi finally got to her feet after a few more tries and looked at her parents smiling happily. She stayed right where she was inbetween both of her parents since her legs were still wobbly. She looked around at everything, it was all so very new to her. She smiled again and looked back at her family around her and let out a soft whinny. She tried to move a little and started wobbling and she tried her best not to fall again.

She let out a small giggle as he licked her cheek. "I'm glad you think so." Looking down at Yiska who was still sitting between her front legs, she licked the top of his head. Chu's gaze fell upon Vasu as he started to stand. Tilting her head slightly at his awkward stance. Leaning forward, she nudged his front legs back a bit so that he wasn't so spread out.
Yiska giggled as his mom licked the top of his head but then turned a curious eye to his siblings. They both seemed to be trying to walk around but he was more content where he sat. Craining his neck slightly, he looked over at who he assumed was his father, giving him a curious look.

Vasu'Raj looked down at his now corrected stance. His mother had pushed his legs further in, and now he felt more balanced. Looking down at his feet for a moment, he raised his head and began to wobble about. He took a couple steps forward then stopped as his balance was almost lost. He then began again, not even paying attention to where he was going. He had to concentrate all his thoughts on every movement he made.
Hok'ee smiled at Yiska and then nipped lovingly at the side of his face, before rising to his feet. He wanted to make sure that he kept a good view on all the foals whereabouts. He cautiosly watched, as Vasu toddled about.

Shadi began to wobble away from the rest of the family a bit, finally getting used to her legs more. She smiled back at her family as she continued to make her way around. Not looking where she was going she tripped on a small hole in the ground and fell again letting out a surprised whinny.

Chu's head turned around quickly as she heard Shadi's surprised whinny. Taking a breath of relief, she slowly made her way into a standing position. Wiggling her way around Yiska so that he didn't topple over. Stretching out her legs, she watched each foal seperatly for a few moments.
Yiska grinned widely as Hok'ee nipped at his face. "Daddy!" He called out as his tail flicked back and forth against Chu's legs. As his mother stood up, he slumped back slightly at the loss of something to lean on. Wrinkling his nose, he wiggled his rump which was soon up in the air as he teetered to his hooves.

Whipping his head towards the small whinny, he noticed that she was okay, but had stumbled. "You okay Shadi?" he said warmly. Hok'ee then leaned in and snuggled Yiska as he stood. "Yes! I am your daddy!" he beamed. These were the first words he had heard out of any of the little treasures. Daddy! he repeated the idea in his head. He felt he had earned one of the greatest titles any stallion could ever hope for. He turned towards Chu and gave her a dreamy, star lorn look. "He called me daddy." came his quiet, whisper like voice.
Vasu felt the feeling of insecuritys tug at his mind, as he got too far from his parents. Without stopping his unsure-footed wanderings, he turned to head back. He stepped one foot in front of the other to turn, and he pretzeled himself to the grass. He huffed and then got back up with out a second thought. He then picked up his feet with a little more urgency, to get back near his parents.

Shadi stood back up slowly and looked at he father and smiled at him when he talked to her. She began to walk back over to them and accidently bumped into her father again. "Daddy..." She said softly repeating the word she had heard Yiska say. She looked up at him with her two little light green eyes and smiled again softly.

This was amusing. Hok'ee was beaming over the foals, totally awstruck it seemed. Who knew that these three little one would have such an effect. "Well of course. You are his daddy." Her eyes wandered from each foal. It was a bit time consuming to keep an eye on all three of them at once. "Maybe we should take them out for a walk? Get them to stretch their legs and get used to walking..."
Yiska grinned and snugged up against Hok'ee's leg for a second before looking over to his mother then his siblings. His little mind wondered what exactly taking a walk meant. Was it just walking along, or taking something...somewhere? His little tail wagged back and forth thoughtfully for a few moments.

Toddling ahead, full steam, Vasu ran right into Shadi and tumbled to the ground. He laughed and then snuggled with her. "Sorry!" he exclaimed before rising back to his feet and then hiding under Chu. He looked up at her and nuzzled her. "I'm hungry mama!"
Hok'ee shook his head and let out a sigh. "Yes Shadi, that is right, I am your daddy. And you are my special, one and only, little princess." he spoke with a soft confirming voice and then leaned in to blow the tuff of hair between her ears. He then leaned down to Yiska's level, looking him straight in the eyes, and produced a warm, squinty eyed smile. "And you and Vasu are my princes!"
"A walk is the perfect idea, and then will look for something to eat on the way." He said while raising his head back up. Even though he had no clue what the little ones would eat.

Shadi smiled happily and let out a soft little giggle. "Daddys pwincess!" She said in a soft and happy little voice. She then stood up again carefully and smiled at her mother. "Mama!" She said repeating what she Vasu say as she walked over to her carefully trying not to trip again. She smiled proud of herself for being able to say a couple of words, even though she didn't say some of them correctly, and for not falling this time.
