Setting a pot on the stove Chao nodded. "Definately, my mom homecooked a lot of things when I was little so I got really very used to it. Things from a box just don't taste the same." She began to whisk the contents together, careful not to spill.

"Whenever I can I like to cook from scratch."

--Several hours later--

Jizzy stood, tired, covering in flour, but a smile on her face. SHe gazed out at the feast she and CHao had prepared..

"It's festival time.."

It had been a long time since Sin had had cause to venture into the lodge near the center of town, but she now brought a book and decided that it would be an awesome idea to just sit there, and see who would show up. She assumed that someone would have to, eventually.

With Gael in tow, she decided that she would venture an attempt at reading to the feather and fluff. She'd been doing it on and off for a while since then. "Act One. The Girl." She began, leaning back on the battered couch that occupied one corner of the lodge.

Chao let out a small yawn as she headed towards the lodge, still half asleep. Halfway through the night she'd been woken up by the click of hooves on her roof and had discovered an awake Sanar to be investigating the material that made it up. Of course then Sanar was off like a shot turning it into an impromptu game of tag leaving Chao with a very small oppertunity to sleep.

Sanar was not half as tired as her mother and easily trotted along beside the yawning bigbeing as they headed towards the slipperground place, ears flickering about in hopes of catching any other sound from the quiet village.

"Hhhh... maybe some of the other gryphon's will be there today and you'll have a chance to play with them San...."

The sound of footsteps on the clena wooden floor echoed slightly in the large Lodge as Jizzy entered. Her bag was slung over her shoulder, a small beak pertruding from inside.

Tobias was so impatient, he couldn't take it any longer. He hoped they ahd arrived at the large house so he just curled himself into a ball and rolled out of Jizzy's bag, rolling across the florr before uncurling himself and giving an exited 'hoop'.

As amusing as the book was, Sin found that she was having dificulties reading to an in-animate object. It was like reading to herself. She spoke quickly, her voice quietly spinning a tale of seduction and betrayal, because, as she had discovered, so many of her books were about just that.

She glanced up to see that there was someone at the door. She had been right then, in believing that someone would come and join her. Now, who could it be?

A small bell attached to the door jingled quietly as the duo entered, Sanar's hooves clicking against the wood floor.

Sanar's ears flickered. She could hear footsteps and another noise that she couldn't place. With a curious click she raced off towards the source of the sound.

Sin glanced up and smiled. "Chao!" She called happily, setting Gael-the-jar and her book down on the couch. "Long time no see."

Jizzy heard voices further inside the lodge and smiled. Company.. She loved Company. She quietly clicked her tounge, a signal that she ahd establish with Tobias for him to follow her. Jizzy had a love of sneaking up on people that was hard to ignore. So she began to slink through the Lodge, trying to avoid the e4yes of her neighbors and in the end give them a good scare.

Tobias was about to give a loud hoop, but at the soft click, he stopped immediatly and jumped in exitement. THat was mother's signal. That meant he had to follow her, and quietly.. She did this at home alot, sneaking up on Devirae, particularly. Tobias highly enjoyed this practice and waddled behind her rather quickly. He much prefered curling upa dn rolling, but he couldn't direct himself to well that way.

Sin glanced around Chao to notice that Jizzy was also coming into the room. She smiled brightly, she'd brought Tobais with her. Maybe Sin could get the young gryphon to sing some more Phantom for her. Yes, that would be very fun.

Jizzy palced a slender finger over her mouth to show her plan to Sin. She crept up behhind CHao and gave a small double click.

Tobias took the signal. At the smae time he and his mother gave a resounding shout, or in his case a hoop.

Sin grinned, and turned back to Chao, to seem like she hadn't noticed Jizzy at all.

"Hey everyone," Chao grinned easily before starting slightly, one hand whipped to her belt, sadly grabbing only at air as her head snapped back. "Oh! Jizzy," she panted slightly. "Yee gods woman, are you trying to kill me?"

Sanar returned back to the room, drawn by the shouts, ruffling her wings. As she sighted the other smallthing Tobais she clicked happily and trotted forward.

"No, just scare the living daylights out of you.."

She said, her tone slightly sinister. She had a soft spots for pranks, but had layed off the habit for a while now. She ploppled down ona chair nearby, looking very smug behind her dark sunglasses.

Tobias heard clicking, and he knew it was not his mother, so he looked around for the source. Upon spotting Sanar, he hooped cheerfully and waddled over, much more produly than he would have normally. He still remembered the time he had eaten the stars (or fireflies, but he doens't know that) and felt very proud of himself.
