Anatoli poked his head out of his duplex this evening to find a little paper-wrapped gift at his feet. Squatting down, he curiously picked the little trinket up and turn it between his clawed fingers, sniffing it. Once it was established that the present wasn't going to hurt him, the opossum man stands back up and leans against the frame of the door, gently taking the wrapping paper apart with a claw.

Sure, he didn't celebrate Christmas, but judging by the handwriting on the tag it was probably a kid -- kids have a rather distinctive way to their written word, after all. Had this been any normal circumstance, he would have smiled and said 'aww.' But the fact that there appear to be children on this island is something that the man finds most depressing and he really hoped that his cousin didn't include kids in his human menagerie. His eyes turn down at the painted shell, then at the little note.

All of the duplexes were painted a deep orange by the setting sun, as the daylight slowly faded away into night. Anatoli turned and closed the door behind him, taking the shell with him and setting it on the dresser. He should try to find this kid and thank him later.

You awaken, if only for a moment from your unconscience state. You're not sure why at first, but it appears the changes have, if only for a moment, stirred you from your weak state. You feel your ears changing, growing and lengthening, even as they become long and ovular. Your tail bone aches as your tail grows longer

The area around your legs and crotch begin to itch, even as you begin to grow distinctly possum like fur in that entire area. The same fur grows across your back, and across your face. The most dinstinct thing to happen though is your face, which begins to lengthen and grow long, into a muzzle. Your canine teeth become longer and more dangerous looking as well.

The changes aren't entirely negative though, even as you feel many of your own wounds begin to close up, as the effect of growing new tissue is causing them to heal up, leaving you in a much better state than you were.

The ordeal over, you feel yourself slowly slipping back to sleep again.
