A small plume of dust rose up as Durithill's boots landed softly in the Forbidden Realm. They'd appeared in the middle of the crator that had resulted from Durithill and Durimiros's last clash. Durithill had used the most powerful spell in his repertoire, Dragon's Rage, to completely obliterate Durimiros. Unfortunatly, the attack hadn't erridicated Durimiros forever. Durithill stepped aside and held out his hand to help Raine out.

Passing through the portal, as clumsy as she usually did, Shiero stumbled uneatly on the ground. A shy smile crept ac ross the woman's lips from Durithill's supportive hand already extended once she was in the Forbidden Realm. It made her laugh slightly, she never did learn, did she?

Standing up straight, smoothing the soft material against her body, her back erect, Raine took in a nervous breath, her eyes closing as she exhaled deeply.

"So you're finally here?" said a familiar voice from the top of the crator. An all too familiar royal blue clad figure was decending from the lip of the crator, looking slightly smug. "You shouldn't have brought the girl, Durithill."
"I will never leave Raine alone." Durithill said cooly, causing Durimiros to laugh slightly.
"Well it doesn't really matter to me. As long as you give me your Karogaroko Harelosemo." Durimiros said, stopping two yards from Durithill.
"As I told you in the Realm of Fire, I will never give it to you." Durithill said. Durithill then unclasped his cloak and dropped both his cloak and the clasp. Next he bent down and removed the two symbols from his boots, then dropped them on top of his cloak. He then pulled a lighter from his pocket and dropped it on top of that. The next thing to go was his two katanas and the massive sword he always wore. "Prepare to die, Durimiros. Forever." he said and Durimiros laughed.

Girl? Now, she found that was insulting... Flinching slightly as Durithill began to drop various equipment to his side. What was this? No weapons? How di dhe expect to kill the man? But then again, as many times as she hinted in asking how exactly he was going to kill his father, Durithill merely mentioned he knew a way and for her not to worry.

"What are you--" She began quietly, her voice barely a whisper. For one, she did not want to destract Durithill, and secondly, she really didn't want to know what was going to happen.. Or what he had planned for that matter.

Raising one of her hands from her side, her slender, ivory fingertips pressed her lips nerviously. The other arm followed suit, her hand curling around the opposing hand's wrist.

"You're going to fight me with no weapon?" Durimiros said with a laugh.
"You forget, father, I AM a weapon." Durithill replied, spreading his arms. Energy began to radiate off Durithill in an almost palpable aura, and something crossed Durimiros' face they had never seen before. Something that was almost more terrible to behold then the slaughters he'd commited: fear.
"It's not possible! Durimiros said, stepping back. "You can't possibly have learned how to use it!" Durithill simply laughed as his appearance began to change. His black clothes became an elegant gray robe, his boots became sandels, and his eyes turned a royal purple color. Two pairs of wings suddenly sprouted from his back: a white, feathery pair, and a black, leathery pair. A single white feather fell from Durithill's wings and onto the pile as he grinned.
"Behold, father, the weapon you created." he said as Durimiros hurridly drew his sword and shifted into his demon form.

There really.. Wasn't anything she could do but watch. Taking a step or two from the area the battle was to take place, Raine's steps quickened slightly. All she could do was stand by and watch everything unfold. Anything she tried would most likely not have an effect on Durimiros, therefore she was proven useless.

Whens he was close enough to see in detail waht was happening, but far enough away not to get in Durithill's way, Raine lowered her body to the ground, her hands remaining at her face with a worried expression.

Durimios roared and charged, but Durithill simpled waved a hand it seemed as if Durimiros was thrown to the side, slamming hard into the ground. Durithill pointed and a beam of brilliant energy flew from his finger at Durimiros, but Durimiros got up in time and jumped over it. The finger-thick beam collided with the sand behind Duirmiros, causing a massive explosion and hurling Durimiros towards Durithill, who caught him with a single hand by the throat. Durimiros dropped his sword and began trying desperatly to claw Durithill's hand from its death grip. "Now, you die." Durithill said simply, reaching with his other hand and placing his pointer finger on Durimiros' chest. Durimiros' eyes widen and he grabbed a thin, sharp peice of metal from his cape, shoving it into Durithill's chest. Durithill let go and both men stepped back as their skin and clothes began to turned to stone where their attacks had landed. Durimiros began screaming and clawing at the stone which was spreading much faster then on Durithill, and Durithill simply tore the peice of metal from his chest. "How ironic." Durithill said simply. "Where it begins, is where it all ends."

Her hands shot to the ground. She knew it! Something horrible was going to happen... It always did, things always ended this way.

"Durithill!" Shiero shouted, taking off from the area she was sitting in, sprinting as fast as her legs could possibly carry her. Sure, Durimiros was soon to be dead, but Durithill with him. Raine was running blindliy.. She couldn't lose him again..

Breathing heavily, as she reached the center of the crater where Durithill and his father were both stationed, her hands quickly shot out and wrapped around Durithill desperately. No, she wouldn't let him go, there was no way in hell she would let him pass away again...

"No.. You can't possibly.." She breathed, her arms and body trembling with fear..

"--Make it stop!"

Durithill wrapped a hand around Raine to comfort her, and it seemed as if all the power of the realms was in his grip. His presence was far more powerful then ever before. With his other hand he reached up and stroked her cheek. "." he said, his voice soft yet powerful at the same time. "Once Durimiros is completly turned, you must shatter him. Understand?" he asked, gently carressing the skin on her cheek. He bent his head and kissed her once more and it felt as if her body was flooded with overwhelming love. "Sheiro, as I said earlier, I will never leave you alone." His hands feel gracefully to his sides and he smiled as the stone crept further and further over his body. His elbows were now stone, as well as his knees. All but Durimiros' head was. "You know I will always love you."

A deep emotion was suddenly felt welling up within her chest. A certain pain tore within her, causing her eyes to flood with salty tears and to stream down her face unwillingly. He was so calm.. So gentle.. Why? It baffled her, she was greatly confused... It was today that he had shown her the most compassion she'd seen, and it was also today that he was going to leave her for the second time. Shiero found herself gasping for air as her hands desperately gripped the clothing over his chest, it was the only way she could keep herself from falling to her knees through such distress. Pressing her forehead against his chest, she parted her lips to speak, but rather then words, sobs were coughed from her throat.

"But you are! You're leaving me again!" She bellowed into his chest. He was contridicting himself! She would never feel his warmth or hear his voice again. Only a vauge shell would remain of what he once was, just a cold, stone statue in the very place he was standing now. Her pale fingers contined to tighten around his clothing. She would shatter Durimiros' statue alright... By the time she was done with it, there would be nothing remaining but dust.

"You said you wouldn't leave..." She uttered, tears staining her cheeks. Her arms carefully moved to shift around his shoulders and neck. She wanted to be as close to him as possible, she wanted to stay with him to the very last second and her time was rapidly running out. Pressing her parted lips against his neck she mumbled another plea, begging him to stay... As if he had a choice.

"Stay with me-- Please! ...I--I love you!..." It was then, at that very moment that she felt the safest she ever had, but scared out of mind all the same...

Durithill's smile remained as the skin around his mouth turned to stone. Durimiros was now completly stone, frozen in a look of perpetual pain and fear. "The only reason the gods died, Raine, was that people stopped believing in them." Durithill's gentle voice said in her head before the last of him turned to stone. The last petal then fell off the rose Duithill had given to Raine when he'd first admitted his love for her, the soft black petal contrasting greatly with the white sand of the crator.

"I--It's not the same!" She shouted into the cold stone, her body trembling with fear. As the last breath was drawn from the man she loved and the remaining left of humanity drained from the very statue, sobs from the woman came even louder and even harder. Her arms slid from around him, her knees buckling which in turn caused her to fall into the sand at her feet. Part of her was fighting this, but part of her was completely gone...

"God damnit..." She mumbled with her teeth clenched and grinding. The tears of sorrow and pain were beginning to shift to anger. Her hands curled into fists, gently pounding the cold figure.

"Damn you to the deepest depths of hell!" She shouted, standing with the remaining ounce of strength left in her legs. Spinning around, her right hand hovered over the sheath secured firmly on her lift hip, withdrawing the heavy weapon. With her broadsword at hand and a single swift movement, the head of Durithill's father slid and tumbled onto the ground. Lifting her right leg and placing a bare foot against the older man, with a good shove, she caused the carving to topple backward before smashing another portion of the once demonic being... As Durithill had asked her..

"If it wasn't for you, he would still be alive!"

There was a faint click behind Raine as the clasp of the necklace she'd given Durithill came undone. The necklace landed with a gentle tinking noise on the pile Durithill had left. Suddenly, ten portals opened, circling Raine, Durithill, and Durimiros. The pile of Durithill's things suddenly floated into the air, and ten different colored beams of light shot from the portals, each beam striking a differnt item. The beams them disappeared, taking the items with them, and the portals closed. Then the statue that was Durithill began to shine, and the air seemed to bend around it as it vanished, leaving a portal in its place. The only thing that remained was the delicate black petal lying on the sand. The portal remained open, as if waiting for Raine to pass through.

Gasping slightly, Raine spun around and watched the events before her unfold. Once everything had fallen silent, with a few footsteps, she approached the ebony rose petal slowly before kneeling down to pick it up into the palm of her hand. Glancing up at the portal, the woman stood back, debating whether or not to pass through it or remain standing where she was... But really, what other option did she have at the moment? Return to the Council Chambers and cry on Rathios' shoulder? Not likely...

With heavy breaths, Shiero approached the portal with cautious footsteps, each sounding loud and eavy in the dead silence. It was odd only hearing a single set of footsteps... She was always used to Durithill being there...

With a slight inhale, tear stains steaking her face, Raine approached the void and stood infront of it in wonder for a moment or so before passing through... Was was on the other side?
