Kaya walked the streets of new york attempting to look normal. He'd just gotten of work and he was still worried someone would find out.
~Flashback~ "what the hell happened here!?" his boss had nearly screamed ni shock when he'd found the grill frozen. Kaya had lost control of his power again and was scared out of his mind."I-I-I d-don't know s-s-s-sir." he'd managed to stutter out."I w-was cleaning it a-a-and I th-think I mixed the wr-wrong c-chemicals." His boss had thought he'd scared himself and sent him home early to rest."Don't worry son, I'll figure it out eventually and make sure you know which one's worK next time. You're new here so I understand. You just go home for now and rest. You sound like you scared the wits outta yourself." ~End Flashback~
How he'd gotten a job working in a restaraunt with a man that kind in New York he still didn't know. What he did know though was that he was still leaving frosted footprints and had a thin fog trailing behind him. He was slowly warming back up and the frost and fog were begining to disperse at last. He did hurry up though when he saw people lying in the street. It seemed like no one was dead and those who were hurt were getting help. Knowing himself, he'd screw up trying to help. He hurried along with the fog he was making still trailing the sidewalk behind him.

Haides_Dementia Chainer "Nevermind...I forgot what I wanted to ask...." Kuno replied with a small smile as he put his backpack on the table and put the poem inside it, pulling out a small leather bound book and a pen. He then began to write in the book as he continued to wait. ((Sorry I haven't posted Y_Y I was at a concert all day yesterday and shopping the day before!)) " Okay, then," He smiled, walking back over to the counter, getting to hot chocolates. He placed on cup filled with whipped cream in front of Kiyo, then brought the other to Kuno," Here you go!"

(It's all good...I was at a concert last night too for the whole night)
"Ummm....Do you know where the nearest library or bookstore is?" Kuno asked as the temperature surrounding his body increased a few more degrees.

Kaya tried to warm himself up as he walked. He didn't know if he could or not but he tried to just warm up the air right around his body. No luck, he was still just as cold. He noticed a man in a graveyard he always passed on his way home, he had a knife."NO!" he yelled out and ran toward the man as quickly as possible, jumping the fence without a second thought. "Don't do it!" he saw the man throw the knife and just barely avoided getting killed with a quick spell."Airia." the knife was caught in a strong gust of wind and forced to stab itself into the ground. Maybe he hadn't been seen, or heard, the man had his face in his hands now after all. "What's wrong?" he asked him quietly as he finally approached him."Can I help?"

Cameron looked up quickly at the newcomer. He looked away. "Nothing you could help with," he scoffed.

"You'd be surprised. If it's problems with life, I know all too much about that. I've got far too many of my own." he said as he started to take a seat. His body was warming up at last but the frosted footprints he'd left weren't fading quickly and his breath still came out in small clouds of mist."Trust me, life has too many problems to worry about them all. You just need to try and handle what you can, and to hell with what you can't. That's really the only way to live anymore. Most people can't even be happy and peaceful in death with these friggin' necro......." he stopped short of saying necromancers. He didn't know if this peron was aware of magic or not. But now it dawned on him, who else would be in a graveyard and not be mourning over someone other than themself."You're one of them aren't you?" he asked as he stood up quickly and backed away slowly. "Air-air-airiaku-ku.......dammit!", how did that spell go again? This is why he didn't like fighting. He needed Damon now.

Mie-tanuki Shadi shook his head, failing to mention that he didn't even go to school. That would be sure to draw attention he did not wish directed towards himself. "No... it's just... very important to me..." he said, face flushed a delicate pink. How could this man make him feel so bad about something he hadn't done on purpose. He finally looked up, blue orbs connecting with the other's eyes. "It's just... I..." He looked away, searching for the right words. "I... I got pulled out of the shop rather quickly..." he murmured, a deep frown set in his lips and wrinkling across his brow. "I suppose I left it then, but... but it's not here any more..." He was obviously very ancious about his pack. He kept fidgitting and looking around nervously, as if expecting someone to jump out from the shadows and attack him now that he was without his words. "Oi..." Brice complained, feeling ready to melt in this quaint coffee shop. Such a shame he wasn't a fire user, this little shop would be much more comfortable. Rubbing his temples he thought a moment. He vaugely remembered seeing the kid pulled out of the shop quickly by another boy. Though not much else came to mind.
"So this guy didn't grab it for you maybe?" Brice offered, then sighed.
"You need to tattoo the location of that thing on your forehead kid, then you won't loose it." ((Brice is such a meanie pants LOL))

For a moment, Shadi looked unsure, anxcious... Could Ger possibly have? But, no, that was silly... "Ger... he would never do anything nice for me," he muttured under his breath, brows furrowed in thought. Ger might take it in an attempt to punish him for running off that morning - but if something were to happen and Shadi was found out as a mage, he could... he might even die without his words!! And it was oh so transparent that he was a mage - a lone half of a partnership - with his ring, even if he did have bandages and long sleeves covering all down his arms and most of his hands.
Then, as the other's final statement reached him, he paused, looking slightly dumbstruck. "Tattoos... tattoos are scary..." He might become prone to bleeding or it could get infected - and who would want a forehead tattoo, anyway? But that wasn't the point.
((Omigee, he's paranoid. xD;;; ))

Kalen felt a twinge of guilt for putting the boy in more pain than he was already in, but what more could he do? His warm fingers lingered, drifting aimlessly over the fabric of the other's coat.
The pyromancer nodded with the gratitude and apology, acknowledging it. "It was one newspaper," he replied quietly, "I think I can forgive that." A slight smile marked his lips.
Despite the flashing lights of the approaching ambulance and its wailing siren, Kalen heard Gervain's question and looked up. He knew he'd be caught on magic if he didn't make something up...
"I.. uh, it was nothing," he replied quickly, "I just was remembering I have to check on my father later... I don't know what you mean."
Only a few moments elapsed before the paramedics were on the scene and moving Kalen's warm hand off Skyy's chest. One pulled him aside to check for the redhead's own injuries and question him.
"I'm fine... yes, I was in the cab. The driver? I don't know where he is... Ouch! Hey!" The final exclamation was due to the paramedic grasping Kalen's arm to help him into the back of the ambulance.
Told by the ambulance operators to stay in the car so that they could check him at the hospital, he waited silently, concerned about Skyy...
What if organs or ligaments-- things he couldn't sense or feel were injured? What if he missed ... things....

"Your buddy sounds like a real winner..." Brice commented, though he wasn't one to talk. It was a good thing this was his day off, otherwise he'd be pissed that he was wasting what little time he had before work to 'help' this kid.
With Shadi's last statement, Brice stared at him with a brow raised and an odd look on his face. This kid was something else...
"I was kidding, but if your that put off by tattoos, a permanant marker would work just as good."
((YAY for Shadi who's paranoid! LOL))

((He's even more paranoid than my Hemopheliac. x3;;; Something must be wrong.))
"Oh..." Shadi flushed slightly. He wasn't exactly good at taking jokes. In fact, he was terrible at it. He could never really sense when others were "just kidding." Looking troubled, Shadi turned away, murmuring that he needed to look for his bag some more. But that thought was still niggling at the back of his mind... What if Gervain really had taken it - just to be mean? He couldn't possibly want SHadi dead - they were partners, after all. But then... perhaps he was dissatisfied with the monochrome wallflower? Twinges of anxiety and guilt pulled at the boy as he began to search, this time his expression one of panicked dispare.

Once removed away from Kalen, the cold once more took over Skyy's prone form so suddenly. Though the pain was lessened dramatically, he still felt the fresh bruises and sprain with every movement despite the paramedic's careful procedures. He was definitely surprised when he saw Kalen being loaded in behind him. Throughout the entire time, he had totally forgotten that the boy had actually been inside that same cab that had hit him.
"Dammit," he muttered under his breath, becomming rather tired of laying down. "Hey.. What about you?" The question was clearly directed toward Kalen. "Did you get very badly torn up in all that?" He started feeling worse about himself for not having thought to even ask about his well-being earlier after he had stayed with him that whole time.

Gervain watched silently as the ambulence left, frowning. That boy... he must be a mage. And it was safest to know who all the mages were. His appearance was quite memorable, but still... He hailed a cab through the confusion and managed to explain he needed to visit a relative at Cross Hospital - the closest one and the one the ambulence would most likely be headed towards. The cab driver... he could use him later. As for now, he had instructions that would lead him - mind numbed as it was - to Gervain's and Shadi's home. They had a basement where he kept bodies and spirits.
The cab reached the hospital quite quickly. When the man asked to be payed, his answer was a sharp blow to the base of the skull, expertly performed. It killed him instantly, but his body never stopped... never sitffened. Gervain climbed out and the cab driver drove on, the same directions as the previous implented into his mind and designated as his sole purpose... for the moment.

Kalen rested his head back on the inside wall of the ambulance. He should've healed himself earlier... but he hadn't realized how he'd been hurt as well. But now he was feeling the dull pain in his arm, and a weak feeling in his knee. The homeo-pyromancer felt gradually weaker in this cold ambulance, spending too much energy trying to heat the air around him so that without his hat, scarf, and gloves, he wasn't feeling so cold. In actuality, it wasn't so bad. Yet his weakness for cold made him much more vulnerable to it.
Hearing Skyy's voice despite the paramedics fussing over either side of the supine boy, he gazed over at him. "I'll be okay, I think. Just a... a few bangs and bruises. They just want to check me. I'm not as bad as you," he replied, "How are you feeling? No lights calling your name, yet?" The last question was meant was a tease and was accompanied by a small smile.

Cameron chuckled. "I thought you could help?" he asked the other mage. He looked back at the ground. "I don't care. You can go ahead and kill me right now."
