This Al Bhed spoke good english, which was more than the Ronso could speak. Her speak was a bit off without the use of pronouns, but most got what she was saying. Unfolding her arms from across her chest she leaned forward to look at Renna for a moment. A chance to go do something, that was always nice.
"Shamari goes for pay."
She said, looking right into the swirled eyes of Renna. Intemidating? That was Rennas thought not hers, though she has been able to drive people away with it else where. She sold herself as an extra party member, making small amounts of gil, but it was worth it for the travle she did.

Renna smiled. "Gil..." She pursed her lips. She smiled mischeviously and leaned backwards as if stretching, reaching into a woman's handbag and pulling out around 1,000 gil. "Is that good enough?" She asked handing the money to the ronso. "I could always pick more pockets."

Shamari nodded, yes gil, was there any other pay? Other than in items and she really had no use for them, she really only needed fair for the transportations she used. Eyes ever sharp she saw the steal, and took a moment to reply to the gil set infront of her. Thinking she picked her weapon up by the belt that went across her back. Standing she strapped it back on, then picked up the gil and put it in a bag that hung from the belt that hung from her waist. With a smiple motion of her head she simply said it was time to go. She didnt want to chance being around when that person Renna stole from found out what had happened to her Gil. After a moments pause she headed toward the door, claws on her feet tapping the hard floor of the tavern untill she was outside.

Just a few miles off the coast of Glasica beneath the vast waters bubbles began surfacing as Dark Maki struggled to reach the surface. Unknown to her that somewhere along the vein a shift in the planet's floor caused a crack in the ocean floor flooding the vein near the Glascia continent. Gasping for air she surfaced barely conscious frozen by the ice cold waters.
Laying on the surface on her back she struggles to keep breathing. Loosing control and loosing consciousness fast. As the temperatures began exausting her last bit of strength the ooze seeping from the pores in her hand retracted back into Maki's body and released her from its hold .... temporarily.
*gasp!* "Brrrrrrrrrrrr.... wh-wh-where am I?" Maki asked herself as her face began turning blue, she can barely feel her arms as they slowly moved to keep her afloat. "Z-z-z-zetsuei .... F-f-f-f-fira .... Te-te-te-tenshen .... Any-any-anybody ..... He-h-h-h-h-h-h-help!"
As she called out to anyone who could hear her a tear poured down her face as she realized she was moments away from death. Then she struggled to stay afloat she called out for Sai and Shinja under her breath.
"Puh-puh-puh-please! .... *shivering* a-a-a-anybody! .... He-h-h-h-h-help me!"

Maki laid floating in the icy cold water, her body light as it moved with the waves with nothing. No back pack, no food, no shelter and only her sword Kiljoy strapped to her back. Her life replaying in her mind as she laid thinking about all the things that have happened to her since escaping the tragic incident that took away the comforts of what she called home and the new information that her grandfather was actually her father in disguise and the loss of Shinja. Then for a moment she remembered something ... a feather ... Fira's feather. She could have used it to find Shinja, but then she knew Shinja would have opposed the idea and the last thing she wanted to do was make Shinja angry. Maki would do anything Shinja asked without question as she knew he would do the same for her. But now, she just wanted to reflect on her memories good or bad and prayed that Shinja would be waiting for her on the farplane.

Maki began turning blue from the cold, her lips purple and trembling as her heart began slowing down every beat. The waves began moving her towards land in the distance. Her eyes frozen shut from crying, barely awake as every shudder or shiver sends her into a panic as she waved her frozen arms to keep afloat. Hoping Zetsuei and Fira have already noticed she was gone and come looking for her, forcing herself to stay awake.
"I-I-I-I have t-t-t-t-to stay a-f-f-f-f-float so th-th-th-they ca-ca-can f-f-f-find me," she said to herself. Although she could no longer see, she smiled as she imagined the ship hoovering above her.

As Maki shivered, frost began forming on her body. Drifting further away from the island she began moving less and less. Her arms no longer able to move, her breathing almost stopped as she gasped for air and her heart began beating slowly. Soon after hours have passed, she was frozen solid in suspended animation. The water on her skin was now ice and she slowly began sinking into the water. As she sank into the water, her brain activity began slowing down as she sank back into her now quiet subconsciousness.

Maki's subconscious mind:
"Hello?" Maki called out. There was nothing, no memories being played and not even the annoying voice of the darkness that lives within her body. She stood up and walked with her arms stretched out. Only the echo of her footsteps can be heard. "Anyone there?"

As Ice began forming around her Maki's body began emitting a soft blue light. The blue light began forming a pocket of air around her as the ice began to harden around her like a coffin. Once the ice completely hardened encasing her in an icy sarcophogas it hit the bottom of the ocean floor and stood like a crystallized statue as Maki slept inside frozen in time.

(Inside Maki's subconscious mind)
"Anybody?! Hello? Am I dead? This doesn't look like the farplane ... " she called out flopping to the ground and hugging her sides. She felt totally alone as she sat still in the darkness, a warm tear trickling down her face. As she sat there a soft blue light began surrounding her, it was as warm as receiving a hug from someone you loved.
"Don't be afraid little one," the soft voice said. "Lay down and sleep, and I'll sing you a lullaby."
*Sung to Aerith Theme*
*hums the melody before starting*
"Do not fret ... do not cry,
just listen to my gentle lullaby.
No more tears ... try to smile
we won't leave here without you.
Even though, you're in pain.

As the mist hovered over the waters it sank into the ocean and down to the frozen coffin where Maki layed frozed in time and disappeared. The ice began glowing blue when it touched the surface.

The mist began circling around Maki's body inside the ice as it sang a lovely medley:

It took the Ronso a few minutes to realize that the Al Bhed had run off, leaving Shamari with a bag of Gil and no where to go. With a bit of a huff she Headed off toward the boats that would take her away from this cold land. Grabbing the cloak from off her shoulder she wrapped herself in it and headed off again out into the cold. It was slow travle, sure, but it was travle.

Shamari walked back along the path she had taken to get into the city, following it like her foot prints from the boats still exsited in the snow, though it was apparent they didnt. Finding the docks again, the Ronso travled slowly up the deck toward the captian of a boat that was unloading some passengers. Exchanging some words with him she was able to buy herself a trip to the next place he was headed, not caring for the destination as much as she was for getting off the frozen place. Digging into her gil poutch that hung from her golden hued belt she paid him for the trip, leaving her with more than she thought she would have. That was mostly thanks to the Al Bhed who had given her the Gil. Waiting for them all to get off she hurried on deck before the captian and stood near the rails of the ship as she waited departure. When it was time she disappered below the deck of the ship to sit in relative warmth untill the boat would land again elsewhere.

The faint soft blue light began to fade as Maki's body began to slow down, even her heart rate has slowed considerably.
"Hang in there little one," a soft gentle voice whispered into her ear. "I called for help. Your friends should be here soon."

As the ship flew over the frozen water Zetsuei began to senses Maki's spirit energy. It was faint but he could still feel it. Pressing a button on the control console which stopped the airship.
"Fira, she is down there. I can sense her."
He said as he rushed out the door and dove off the deck with his wings folded behind him to gain speed.

The blue light sensed Greed's presense and with its last bit of energy flashed lighting up the ocean floor that surrounds Maki's frozen coffin and disappeared.
