((*adds to list* XD Soo much to watch.
Ohh, suddenly it smells awful and fishy in here x.x.))
"I do, though I son't know that I have any sort of 'affinity for it, as you say. I'd prefer a horse to a ship, certainly." He walked alongside Naraka, content to let him choose where they went. The thought of Iden laying about with earmuffs on made him chuckle. "She'd probably pull them off while she slept." They'd come to the ocean soon enough, or to the cliffs that dropped down to it, after making their way down a couple of streets.

(( XD My plan to make you into a couch potato is going perfectly *wiggles fingers evily*
Quick, the fish are invading!!! Get your harpoons!!! ))
"Horses are something I have never really gotten into. I had always preferred my own four legs, and when that era was ended, I was content to go on two. Or on... sealegs." He laughs and hops along the edge of the cliff, once they've come to it, until he's perched up on the highest stone, overlooking the foaming waves. "You're Romanian, aren't you? I've heard off and on that a vampire gets to pining for their homeland. Do you ever wish yourself back there? Have you ever visited since you found yourself here?"

((Pfft, too late for that. That's done. XD
*shudder* Smelly awful things ;;.))
"Into?" He grinned, letting out a small chuckle. "It was never a matter of getting into them, they were simply..life, or a part of it. They were necessary; for travel, for war.." He leapt up onto the crumbling wall that had once been intended to keep hapless persons from tumbling over the cliff's edge, balancing himself easily on the old stone. "Yes, I am. And what point in wishing myself back? It certainly wouldn't be the same as it was." He shrugged. "I suppose you could say I've visited, yes."

(( that is one thing that does not make me happy about the ocean ^_^;;;; smelliness ))
"Well yes, yes, I know. A way of life for your social strata. For mine, too, I suppose, if I could remember. Since, though, since, I haven't had many dealings. Animals had a tendency to balk at my presence. And I didn't mean... wishing yourself back," he muses, feeling a little dejected at the fact that he's already been. "No, it's not the same. Some of the forests are very similar, but I suppose you didn't spend much time there, did you? Anyway, I asked because I've got a quick and easy way to get there. If you wanted to go." He rubs his hand through his hair and says, "There's a castle there... it runs very much as it would have... oh, I don't know when it was from exactly. It might be interesting, though?"

((Yeugh, that is one thing that could be done without.
Oh no, Vlad at the castle. Good lord. XD))
"More time than you might think," he replied, pacing a little on the wall as he spoke. "Oh, do you? That does sound..interesting." He paused and tilted his head just slightly, brow furrowed curiously.

(( heh heh. Running amok. Oh well, Nar doesn't plan on setting him on the inhabitants ^_^;;;;; ))
"Ah." Nar smiles a little, pleased that they have something in common. "Well, they are very much the same. The mountains are too wild to so easily tame, you know? Even to modern people. I don't know how long they'll last, but a lot of it is still there for now. Better see it before it's gone, I think. I don't suppose I need to say that it's a little depressing that all the old world is disappearing. And at such an alarming rate. I only just got to see some of the cloud forests in central and south america. Those will be gone soon."
His eyes scan the horizon, and then fall back on Vlad, pacing like a beast. "I have. It's very handy. I wish we could go now, but it's light, you know? I don't know how well you take the sun, but it wouldn't be pleasant, I'm sure. Better to go at night. They have horses as well. We could borrow some if you like."

((Heeheehee. Ohh, that would be..interesting.
*sighs and chews on computer* Rrawr.))
"Modern people seem to be set on finding a way to tame everything." Vlad snorted, wrinkling his nose in disgust, then shook his head. "Cloud forests?" He didn't recall hearing of something by such a name before.
"No, it wouldn't be terribly pleasant, at that," he acknowledged with a dry grin. "I've missed horses." His voice was soft.

"The world is changing very quickly," Naraka agrees with a sigh. "It is easier for humans to take, because it is the world they're born into. But for the people and creatures who love the world that was made, as opposed to the way in which the way the world is being made into, it is a hard thing to watch. Perhaps not all humans. There are wild folk who's ancestral memory goes back longer than any vampire's who hurt for their unforgiving lands and lost gods." He sighs a little and draws his slender fingers along the jagged rocks. "The cloud forests lie in mountains so high that the very clouds come down to them, and sweep through as mist regularly. They are very sensitive, and they are dying because the clouds have stopped coming down to them. Weather changes brought on by human interferrence."
He stands and begins to wander along the cliff, over the stones. "Well, that tears it, then. We'll have to go. When it just gets dark here, there will still be several hours of night left there. There's a catch, though, and that is I can only return back to my home. A different time zone altogether. But I keep it quite dark. I'm sure you wouldn't come to any trouble. Iden can take you back. Unless you have some means of returning, yourself. "

"Who would ever have thought that humans would chnge the weather? Only I'd bet they don't know how to change it back, of course." He toed at an broken stone, sending it rolling off the wall and tumbling down the cliffs. "It would figure."
Vlad followed slowly, walking along the wall. "It shouldn't be a problem. She can bring me back."

"Who'd've ever thought, but there it is! It's in our nature to try, anyway, isn't it? And I really don't think they do. The people working on it. It could be the cloud forests were going to go anyway. Everything does. But it's troubling to see everything going so fast. Well, we'll see how things pan out."
Naraka wanders along, happy to be out near the ocean and not stuck in some madhouse. He isn't quite certain when dawn may be, but has the feeling it isn't for a while yet. "Well," he replies pleasantly, "It wouldn't matter about my place because it would still be dark there if it were getting light in Romania. Just so long as she knows to come looking for you. Anyway, should the sun happen to catch us in either location, I know of some very good places to lurk, so it won't be a problem. It's a hassle, isn't it? Staying out of the sun. Makes traveling a real b***h."

"I don't see why she wouldn't. Afraid she'd just leave me with you?" His grin was wicked; he simply couldn't resist. Laughing, he hopped easily over a break in the wall. "It is, indeed. Though I'm safe, if I'm in my spear. Not that it's conducive to travelling, unless someone's carrying it."

"No...." he looks back, not entirely certain what's so terribly funny. "I only thought you might not want to be away from home for so long. Or you'd get tired of being in my company. A lot of the vampires I know get very neurotic when it comes to being away from home when the sun's out. I suppose you've got a variable most don't, though, if you can rest safely in your spear."

"Well, happily, I'm not neurotic." He made an expression of distate and shrugged, continuing to wander along the wall. "It does have its benefits. Terribly boring, though, the damn thing."

Naraka gives him a somewhat sceptical look. If not neurotic, than definitely something. "However did you manage to find yourself um... in a spear? It's awfully curious."

"Curious is one way to put it. I'm not entirely sure how, quite frankly." He gave another shrug. "For some reason or another, my spirit got trapped in the spearhead. I don't know why, and I don't really remember anything about it happening, or after. Nothing after my death, until..very recently, anyway. There's no way of keeping track of time, in there."
