Hello everyone. My name is Azalea Verde, you can call me Azalea or Az, I don't mind which.
I have many favorite books and such. I would have to say that some of my favorites (in no particular order) are: TimeLine, The Wheel of Time (series), The Year of Secret Assignments, Artemis Fowl is pretty good...There are so many, I can't even remember. lol. I'll keep adding more as I remember them.
I am currently reading The Moonstone and The Culture of Fear: Why Americans Are Afraid of the Wrong Things. After that I plan on reading And Then There Were None, and Gone With The Wind.
I don't really have one favorite author, I like many.

Good evening and salutations to all and sundry whom may read this post. I have been reading for thirty years, and my favorites change from season to season. I am curently reading book five in the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. The next book in the series came out yesterday and I am rereading them all to make it fresh. Its about a time travler. sort of. she meets a highlander. I wish I could meet a highlander like this. te he.
One of the books I have reread the most is Emergence by David R. Palmer. I read it first as a young teenager and it had every thing. Apocalypse, planes, martial arts, space crafts, a cute boy, puns, cross country travel, a cat, and people I wish I had as friends in the real world. That book has been a good friend, and a great adventure read for many years.
The following is a list of authors and or books I recomend: Melanie Rawn-the mage books or the dragon books. Mercedes Lackey- I have yet to read anything of hers I havent liked. Robin Hobb- How fun are these books! Robert A Heinlein- Friday and JOB are my favorites, although the rest are good reads. Anne McCaffrey- WOW can that woman write. dragons, space travle, more dragons, more space, I love her. Andre Norton- classic. On the back of this grand lady are all of us riding. George r.r. Martin- I like that he kills his characters off. I have yet to second guess his plots! David Eddings- great adventure. Jack L. ChalKer- must read the rings books and the changewinds books.
Lastly a few books I love that I can never remember the authors name. the falcon and the hound, a book about a monk who is an elvin changling during the reign of Richard lionheart. the Immortal eyes trilogy- based on the RPG Changling. Oh and the Raymond E. Feist books about the magician, I love those.....I could go on and on.... it seems I have. rolleyes
sorry, I gotta go, Jamie and Claire are calling me, some one just died, someone needs to be saved from hanging, and there is going to be a battle, I'm sure you understand.

Hey, I'm Faeyra, and you can call me... Faeyra. ninja I like to read Fantasy, Sci-Fi, the occasional Historical Fiction book, and... yeh, other random stuff when I feel like it. I don't know that I have just ONE favorite author or book, there are so many to choose from! I like them all! ^_^ I'm a spelling/grammar nut, and write whenever I get a lightbulb for a story. I can't think of anything else to say so... That's all for now.

Hello, you can call me Slick or any other nickname you can come up with. My favourit book is undecided, I love too many of them. Same with my favourit authors. Though I just finished Memiors of a Giesha, the third book in a series called Keys to the Kingdom, and I'm currently reading Abarat by Clive Parker, I'd recomend those. xd Some other information? I guess I should add that I like to write a little myself, though I don't compare to... well... no one. The only hobby bigger to me then reading is drawing.

My name is Rabid Nozomi, Nozomi in reality, and Rabid because I like werewolves. Don't ask. My favorite book is, hm, "Bitten" by Kelley Armstrong. I really couldn't decide. I really haven't read enough of someone's books to have a favorite author, but, I'd have to say Kelley Armstrong's books are the best.

Lineth

PostPosted: Sun Nov 27, 2005 9:21 pm

Hi there! I'm Lineth, and I've been reading ever since I was two. 3nodding I like light comedy -- P.G. Wodehouse and Terry Pratchett spring to mind -- historical fiction, nonfiction such as biographies and books about science and history, some fantasy -- in fact, I like just about any genre save romance novels.

My favorite book of all time would have to be The Lord of the Rings. I've read it once a year since I was nine, and eventually picked up the Silmarillion and the rest of J.R.R. Tolkien's works. I stay far, far away from Internet fandom, though, so no fears -- I'm not a hopeless Orlando Bloom-loving fangirl. wink I haven't read too much other fantasy, as I tend to find it unsatisfying, and I have a strange dislike for the works of Tamora Pierce, alas.

I'm also something of a grammar stickler, but a nice one. I won't yell at you about comma splices. blaugh
