"When I finally got my head screwed on straight I always imagined myself going to any of the premier med schools in America. But once I got here I realized that there's a huge world out there. So honestly... right now I could see myself going to school anywhere. Though Japan would be nice. I've grown very fond of it, and it's where my friends are," she said, looking back down into her lap and toying with the end of her long hair.

Ra nodded,
"Same here. All my closes friends are here." He smiled and lapsed into silence again. A nice warm silence just appreciating the peace of the moment. Such silences were rare in Aquila.
"Wouldn't it be funny if we ended up at the same school?" He smirked shifting to lean on his knees and toying with a fallen leaf. "What area of medicine did you want to go into again?"

Obie smiled and looked over at him as she continued to twine her hair around her finger tips.
"It would be very funny," she smiled and looked back down to her hair. "Originally I had wanted to go into bio med and work in a laboratory. But just recently... I think I've decided to change my focus to pediatrics. I went to visit Izumi in the hospital and there was this little girl there. While I played dolls with her, I realized I really like children and all I wanted to do was make her better. I know that's a highly romanticized view on the medical world, but I think it's become a passion of mine of sorts," she replied. "What area of medicine were you going into?"

"Surgery." He said watching her twirl her hair as she spoke. "And it's not a silly reason."
Once more he turned his attention to the trees above.
"I want to be a field surgeon maybe, or an ER surgeon. Something on the edge. Once I was saved by their skill, so I think it is only fair that I spread that oppertunity to others. I like pediatrics too." He said looking back down at her. "Kids are a lot of fun and good pediatricians are important. Especially for kids who have to make multiple visits. believe me I know." He said, watching her again.
"If I was a surgical student I could get to boss you around." He joked, giving her a playful smirk.

Obie listened intently to him, though her eyes never left her lap. When he mentioned kids who had to make multiple visits, she finally looked up at him with a warm smile. That was exactly why she wanted to be a pediatrician. She held his eyes for a moment, then returned his smirk at his joke.
"As if you could ever hope to boss me around," she grinned and dropped her eyes back down to her lap. "Far more... forceful men have tried and failed miserably in the end." She glanced back up at him, then dropped her hand from her hair and leaned back on her palms.

"Ah, be carefull what you say Dr Obie." He laughed a little and took a contented deep breath of the warm and clear air. "Though I can see the failing miserably part." he smirked, exhaling the pure air and glancing around at the small stone kami.
"I do think you would make a good pediatrician though, no nonsense but caring. Perfect qualities for the job."
Sighing again he looked up at the sky that seemed to be clouding over a worrying shade of purple.
"We should get back before we get soaked." He said standing up and dusting himself down again.

Smirking, she leaned over and nudged him with her shoulder when he agreed with her about failing miserably in bossing her around. Truth be told, she was finding it quite easy to listen to him. She smiled warmly at his compliment. "Thank you Ra," she said simply, then joined him in glancing up towards the sky. She dropped her eyes to watch him stand and dust himself off again, then leisurely stretched out her legs to do the same. Stretching her arms up to the bruised sky, she arched her back a little then dropped her arms graceslessly to her sides. This was the most relaxed she had felt... in years.
"I can't believe you're worried about a little rain," she smirked and started walking back the way they had come.

Ra raised an eyebrow at her and smiled.
"I'm not bothered about rain." He said striding over to join her. "I just thought you might be." He shrugged and gave her yet another grin.
"Being a girl and all." He added with a teasing look.
This was probably one of the best afternoons he had had in a long time. Obie was so easy to relax around.

She actually laughed at that and reached out to give him a playful shove. "Jerk," she smirked. "Since you have met me, have I really ever been one of those silly little ninnies that giggles obsessively and freaks out about her hair?" she asked, arching a brow and slipping her hands into her pockets. She glanced down and it was then that she remembered that she was, in fact, still wearing a white shirt though. Oh well. What ever happened, happened, right? she sighed inwardly, and looked back up at him.

"So easy to wind up." He smirked as fat raindrops began to fall from the purple sky. "Nope you have never displayed symptoms of being an airhead or girly, one of the reasons we get on so well." He said, looking at her for a moment and continuing to walk. The spots of rain grew slightly heavier tracing lazy streaks through the mud on his arms.
"Heh, we are going to look a state by the time we get back. Should entertain the bored masses on campus." He smirked wryly.

Obie glanced up at the sky as the first drops fell. They still had a ways to go. Looked like Ra was going to get himself a free show today, she smirked inwardly. She glanced up at him and shoved her hair back over her shoulders so she could wrap her arms around herself.
"That we are. But it has been worth it," she smiled, lifting one hand up to brush some rain off her face and smearing a light trace of mud across her cheek instead. She hugged her arms tighter around herself and looked out into the curtain of rain that had engulfed them.

As the rain started to fall in sheets Ra brushed his hair out of his eyes and winced into the distance. he could see that Obie was not particularly comfortable with her top getting soaked and wished he had brought a jacket that she could wear. If worse came to worse he could actually give her his top.
"Do you think we should find somewhere to actually wait this out?" He called over the sound of the rain pounding on the fields, through the trees and on the road in front of them.

Obie glanced over at Ra, then turned her face up to the falling rain for a moment. Looking back down, she reached up and shoved her heavy hair out of her face and peered out into the rain for some shelter. Spying a building of some sort not far from them with a pleasantly large looking awning hanging off the front of it, she blinked some water out of her eyes and smiled up at him as she pointed it out.
"Race you!" she called out as she started running before he could process what she had said.

Ra just caught what she had said as she started running. Guessing it had been something like 'race you' he gave her a suitable head start before sprinting after her. Having the obvious advantage of being a runner and longer legs he caught her and overtook her in no time.
"Do I get a prize?" He smirked skidding to a halt under the canopy."

Smirking as she stopped before him, she glanced down to evaluate the damage, then back up at him at his question.
"Here ya go," she smirked, spreading her arms out so he could get a full on view of the lacy bra she was wearing under her now, very see through shirt. "Every guy's dream right?" she snorted softly and turned away to wring out her hair and look out at the heavy rain.
"I guess we should have checked the weather before we decided to go out," she smiled and glanced back at him over her shoulder.
