"There are too many parts to the whole," Adrian explained, "and it would be a waste of energy to explain them all. But thank you for your concern, nonetheless."
He glanced up as Theif came running at him, yelling his name. "Yeeess, what can I do for you?" He saw the door slam shut behind the cat-man. "You weren't foolish enough to venture into the kitchen were you?"
It was at about this time that three Karletians made their way down the stairs... two receiving a little help from the third.
Malachite had Than under one arm and Rayen in the other, and two crisp bills tucked into the top of his corset. "What was all that yelling about?" he asked as he took the stairs one at a time.
"Than stoled your monies!" Rayen yowled. "Was tryin' to get 'em back, so you could be rich on your birthday."
"Ah, I see." Mal glanced down at the blonde.
Than gave him a most innocent look.
Malachite was at about the middle of the stairs when he asked, "So, what's been going on down here all day?"
"Been gettin' ready for your biiirrrthday~" Rayen said. He then began to sing, "Haaappy biirrrthday to yooouu~ You live in a zooooo~ You look like a..." The felinoid paused, then grinned as he finished. "You look like a female~ and you sound like one, too~"
Malachite snickered. "Thanks, Ray."
"Ya welcome~"
They finally reached the bottom of the stairs and Malachite turned to enter the dining room. He broke out into a wide grin at all the people and the decorations. "Holy..."
Adrian looked up and visably relaxed as Mal entered the room. He even managed a faint, tired smile. "Happy birthday," he said.
Soco zipped over to the doorway, and announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Malachite Karlet, our guest of honor, tonight!"
"Yay~" Rayen said, and he and Than began clapping.

Macyn looked up and watched the birthday boy enter the room, now he'd just have to wait out the rush and he could give him Kenna's preseant. this was the fun part...right.
Lean on the wall he smiled at the birthday boy then went back to being as close to invisble one could be in a room full of people.

Cute?? Mako stood there blinking at his son, obviously confused. Cute was certainly one word he'd never thought he'd hear describing Luca. "Well...don't let him hear you say that, heh..." Following Tsu's gesture, Mako glanced over at Sauda with a smile. "A, she's adorable! Lucky for her there seem to be lots of little girls here, eh?" Turning his head as Adrian made his announcement, Mako beamed at the birthday boy, cheering "Happy birthday!" with a wave of his hand.
Luca glanced up from his food to see what the commotion about, eyeing the green haired teen and thinking 'great, another step forward for vanity' before biting back into his burger, not caring that juice was running down his chin.

Jazzie gave Kiki an odd look. "Well I think you both have pretty hair!" she siad amtter of factly, as if it were a silly thing to worry about. She was about to say something else but the entrance of a screaming man made her jump, her attention again wavering. "Escuse me" She spoke quickly, with wide eyes at the birthday boy as he entered. She then dashed off to Dizzy's side, tugging on the young woman's arm.
Dizzy looked shocked at the sudden appearance of her charge and knelt down so the girl could whisper in her ear. She tried hard to stiffle her laughter as the girl looked absolutely frightened. "Jazzie, ... that IS a boy" She whispered back as quietly as she could.
Jazzie was confused for a moment then assumed it was only in her books that men didn't wear dresses and other girl cloths. She grinned and skipped back to the group she had only recently vacated. "Happy Birthday!" She chirped out as she joined the clapping.

spyder looked confused for a minute and then glanced at theif running up, still hugging the bun. detaching herself she started to applaud when malachite came downstairs and piped in with a very loud 'happy birthday' before sitting on the floor next to the bun.
hobo stood up and applauded as the birthday boy came downstairs. then walked over to macyn and stood there after apologizing to the girls for leaving. 'what's up my friend?' he asked trying to get the boy to talk

" Not much, i feel alittle out of place, I no very few people here...hell a second ago i didn't even know who the birthday Boy was." Macyn said with a frown. Pushing hair from his face he moved to pick lint off his fishnet shirt.

hobo shrugged 'neither did i, you remember that whole thing about getting out and making friends?' he asked, then paused and continued 'this is one of them forced occasions where you just gotta grin and bear it mainly. only reason i came was because spyder wanted to.... but she ain't to good to drive right now' he was trying to boost the boys confidence. didn't know if he actually succeeded or not though

Macyn nodded. " I came to repersent Kitty nad the family since she and Kenna couldn't be here, I still feel a little akward, i have to talk to the birthday boy to when everyone is down crowding him.

hobo scratched at his head for a minute. 'sucks that they couldn't be here. they're good people' he said thoughtfully playing with his tail. 'is it alright if i just chill with you over here? everybody seems to have someone to talk to for the most part 'cept us and him' at that last bit he pointed at lucavi who seemed content by himself ravaging a burger

[Macyn nodded. "Sure, and your right other then him, we seem to be the odd ones out." He shrugged he didn't really care he was new and it was normal to feel like the odd one out when your new.

'i didn't actually get him anything, not enough time between finding out about this thing and the thing actually happening. i think it was a total of like 20 minutes' hobo said with a nod. 'but spyder put some money into the guestbook, what'd you get him?' he asked. he was trying to keep the conversation going so he didn't have to go mingle and feel weird

Theif lingered near Adrian while he clapped and cheered for Malachite, and smiled breifly for Fantom. "Are you sure you should let that Hana girl near the cutlery?" Without waiting for an answer, he added, "I saw that kit before, the last time I was here, to pick up Kilayla. I think I might have scared him that day..."

Kiki clapped and cheered for the birthday boy. She took vague note of the blonde walking beside him, but didn't really see him. She was pleased that everyone had told her they didn't think her hair was weird. After seeing all the others here, she thought her hair was a little different, but not in the good way. To Sauda, Kilayla grinned. "You could play with my hair, if you wanted. I could be like your doll--that's what Theif calls me, sometimes. He calls me 'babydoll.' But I'm not a baby...and I think your hair is a lot prettier than mine."

Tsunake grinned at Mako's expression, apparently pleased with herself. "Don't worry; I think everything that hasn't ripped off my face yet is cute." When the birthday boy appeared, she let out a piercing whistle, clapping along with the rest. Ahh, if she didn't know any better, she would have thought he was such a pretty girl. Well, he was pretty, but the whole 'girl' thing was debatable.
"Why thank you." Sauda smiled at Jazzie, liking the girl's confidence. When she dashed off, the older girl blinked, then glanced over at Malachite. Her eyes widened in astonishment--she thought Tsunake said that this was a boy! But...she/he was the prettiest person Sauda had ever seen. And they had green hair too!
Kiki's suggestion brought her back to the current situation, and Sauda thought about that for a moment. "Could I really? That'd be fun." Kiki's hair looked like it just wanted to be played with and petted. "You think so?" She ran a hesitant hand through her own hair. "Well, I think yours is prettier than mine, so we're even." A small grin.

Abruptly changing the subject, Kiki said, "Malachite looks so pretty, doesn't he? I wish I could be as pretty as a boy..." she then looked over to Theif. "Hey, Sauda! Maybe you can come over my house one day? Theif wants me to have friends that are girls. He says that I might grow up weird if Soco is the only person I hang out with."
Theif, having heard what Kilayla said, looked over at her and went, "Shush! I didn't say that!" He waved a hand in front of his face, as if there was a cloud of smoke there, then turned back to Adrian.

Macyn looked at hobo. " I got him a skirt ans shirt...I dunno if he'll like it but i had little to go by." Shrugging he looked out at the crowd watching everyone. Smiling at the picture the Karlet family made.
