He thought about it for a little bit and picked up a rock and looked at it. then looked out at the ocean. Then with the flick of the wrist, Sen tossed it outward and watched as it skipped across the water. "There's another side to me too...much like you...It's the reason why I don't go into the city all too often. I remember policemen...and guns...night-sticks, SWAT team members...it was like I was an escaped gorilla...I blacked out...and when I came to... there was blood mixed into my body it was the blood of those officers...not just them...but women...and children...I tried to tell myself it was all crossfire...but I knew...I killed them...I killed all of them..." And by some twist of fate...a single tear ran down the water-beast's face...

"You're no worse than what Matt was... Believe me." Her voice choked for a second. Why she always found herself around people who needed help, she didn't know. Matt did and used to kill out of the pure and simple fact that he found it fun. Not just those who went against him... But the innocent too. If I can find something good in that beast, I can find something good in you too."

Sen looked over at Mari. It's like she's seen her fair share of tragedies and violent disasters. "How was he able to control himself? ...Did he have some help in that field...?"

"Yes. He had control from the beginning... What he lacked was a moral responsibility. I made him see what he was doing was wrong..." She sighed heavily. Hard for her to talk about this subject. "He's trying to repent now. If someone's in trouble, he's always the first to help and be there. Some nights he tosses in his sleep because he can't live with it. One night I had to wake him up because he was crying and screaming. I try to keep him on track as much as I can, though. Don't tell him I told you that."

Sen could tell this was a serious matter of Smash's. He mustered up enough of a smile he could remember and said, "Your secret's safe with me." Sen layed back as well, "If you're not comfortable with talking about it I won't bug you about it anymore."

"Well, I'd rather just jump off his subject. If you still need to vent or something, you can still talk to me. I'm even open to answer questions about myself." Mari picked up a seashell, and went to throw it. Instead, she caught sight of what it looked like and put it down beside her on her blanket so she could keep it.

"I don't know..." Sen let out a yawn as a roar of the waves is heard, "I feel like taking a little rest out here...I'm sure I've complained enough for you to handle today." Sen but his hands behind his head and nestled himself in the sand.

"Whatever you say, Sen." She just stayed where she was. At no time through their conversation did she look at him. She stayed docile and at peace. How she wanted to be to begin with.

*the forces of some blows and explosions from the training room shake even the beach area; you can see waves going out from the shore because the power overwhealms the waves...there is a hint of voices and screams in the air...*

After a little bit Sen sat up and then walked off, making his way back to the Mansion.

The sun had gone down as Sen reached the shore, one problem was apparent though. Mari wasn't there at all. He searched all over and came up with zilch.
"Hmm. She must've gone back to the tower. Figures. The time I need her the most I can't find her."
Sen let out an annoyed groan and made his way back to the mansion.
