I'd love to join, if I could, though I don't know much about Eberron (sp?) either. Perhaps if I study up on it a while?

Actually, many of the people here probably don't know much about the campaign setting. I happen to know a little because I acquired the Eberron source books, and Ironiiku seems to know something about it too. My campaign will get everyone acquainted with the campaign setting, and will also serve to get me used to DMing in a premade setting, something I've never done before (Truthfully, though, my Red Hand of Doom campaign is actually the first time I've ran a prewritten adventure before ^_^)

Here's just a little explaination of what Eberron is and what it feels like... I'm still looking for some online source of info on the campaign setting (Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk are so much easier to find online info on).. The only good info I can find is at (where else?) Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eberron#World Basically, Eberron has a place everything you can find in any of the general 3.5 D&D books, including all the "Complete" Series, the "Races of" series, the Expanded Psionics Handbook, the core rulebooks, and all of the extra monster books including MM II, MM III, MM IV, Draconomicon, Lords of Madness, and Libris Mortis. The only thing that is kept out are the multitude of elf subraces. The only elves you'll find are the normal elves (there's two different 'groups' of them, but they come from the same place) and the dark elves, which venerate scorpions and live on the mysterious continent of Xen'drik. Gods in Eberron are handled very differently. They do not take active part in the workings of the world, nor is there even proof that they exist (they are nowhere to be found even on other planes of existance). However, the gods still have many followers. There are four new races in Eberron not found in any other setting. These are the changelings, the warforged, the Kalashtar, and the shifters. Changelings are humanoids with doppleganger blood who have the ability to change their appearance to a degree. Warforged are living constructs created as soldiers in the Last War. The Kalashtar.. well, I'd have to look up what they are.. kinda hard to explain. The shifters are humanoids with lycanthrope blood and have the ability to take on an aspect of an animal. The whole story of Eberron is that a great war, the "Last War", raged for many years, and only recently a treaty was signed that ended the war (The Treaty of Thronehold). Now, the Creation Forges that manufactured the warforged have been shut down and the warforged given freedom (though they are oppressed in some nations). There's much more to be learned about Eberron, but I can research any question you have.

Yes, in my Eberron game you'll start at level 1. You can be any class found in the D&D books and any race in the PHB or Eberron Campaign Setting.

You'll be rolling 5d6 and dropping the lowest two just like my other campaign.
You get maximum gold for first level. (so if you're a ranger (6d4 x 10 gold) you get 240 gold)
You can be dragonmarked, but you must have the right feat of course and be a member of one of the dragonmarked houses.
Since you most likely want to be an elf, you'd be a scion of House Phiarlan, which runs the Artisans and Entertainer's Guild and holds the Mark of Shadow (which House Thuranni, the house that broke away from Phiarlan during the Last War, also holds, but that is a more aggressive and dark house).

::mumbles something under his breath that sounds kind of like 'yes'::
What? Oh.. *ahem*.. I just had something caught in my throat.
If you're a ranger you probably work for your house as a gatherer of intelligence in the wilds (House Phiarlan's real business, behind their front as entertainers and artisans, is intelligence gathering.. i.e. spying)

Hey, when it comes to the 13th mark (which is missing), and other missing stuff like that, can I take care of it? I have a really good idea, and I'm gonna try to develop it. They already started a series on the Lost Dragonmark, but I was gonna do my own, anyways. It's very important and involving with the storyline. And OMG, I watched Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest last night! HOLY s**t! That is the coolest F-ing movie I've EVER seen! It was so great! The action, suspese, betrayal, and... ending? Oh, yeah... the ending is, well... hard to describe... sweatdrop

PM me with your idea, but I think something like that will be reserved for the higher level part of this game, which will come after I run through all the premade adventures (they'll be finished around level 8 or 9 i think).

Well, of course. It'd be really cool, though. And it's something epiccy, so, yeah... it'd be cool... whee
