I've come to think of this, and I think I've got an answer... surprised
About FAN-YAOI.
Like this. I fall in love with the anime/manga guys. I actually do, and I can't help it, and I think that's some wierd sub-affect after never getting my IRL love feelings returned stare
Well, I fall in love with them, and pair them up with eachother. whee
Because they can't love me back, but they can love eachother. And you must agree with me, the hottest guy's make the hottest couples. 3nodding
About ANIME/MANGA YAOI.
First, I think I fell in love with the fan-yaoi, and discovered that there was a whole fandom of it, and got tips about animes and mangas to check out.
You get addicted to it, and don't want anything else.
My obsession started with a hate developing against Sakura from Naruto, and quickly after that Kairi from Kingdom Hearts. the thought didn't came into my mind about pairing them up with eachother yet, but that came pretty quick after finding some SasuNaru's on the net....
Well, yeah.... sweatdrop It's an OBSESSION.

M.K. Morreaux Hmmm...... So, this is getting really weird. Maybe we are just insane fangirls, maybe we have mental issues...

1)the exposure
2)love should not be held back by gender, and so the plot usually goes deeper
3)no pregnancies(sp?), unless their m-preg, but that's,...odd,... so i don't get into it that much
4)it's like a drug, when you get hooked, you can't get off, and it's very easy to get hooked, but unlike a drug, it's very hard to die from yaoi xd
5)normal het is really really boring.
6)if you get the hottest guys together, than you can watch it from either's point of view and get a a nosebleed(although those aren't fun)(they are why i'm so pale, or that's because i never go outside, i'm to busy with yaoi)

FenrisValkyrie Why do girls like yaoi? Well I'm a girl and I can't really and truly give an explination. You really can't control what you do and do not like. (To tell the truth I used to dislike yaoi.) Why, may you ask did I all of a sudden like it? I'm not sure, one day it just clicked in my mind, "That's a really hot picture..." and from there it was history. I think the relationships can be more complex sometimes, it's not the normal, guy meets girl story... It's a nice change. Well that's MY opinion anyway.. I agree with you. At first I wouldn't even get near the stuff. But somehow I wandered into rabid yaoi fangirl land. lol I seriously do not know how it happened. As for yuri, I haven't really gotten into it but, eh, I acknowledge the cute yuri couples along with the yaoi couples. Man, this can become a really big discussion.

this is sort of weird for me to say but yeah im a guy and i like yaoi, mostly shonani..i think thats how you spell it idk. But yeah im not gay, and i dont know if im actually Bi or not. its weird but yeah my girlfriend got me into the hole yaoi thing and i like it. As for girls liking it, well i can only say that it mite be because they are anime guys, or video game guys..or things like that. i mean really would you get all blushy if 2 reguler guys started making out infront of you?

I like yaoi b/c it's yummy and hot and the guys are with that one person. (Er... with the exemption of Enzai. Can't really help it there. The guys are all in prison what else can you expect of them. Legend of the blue wolves and my sexual harassment as well). With hentai the girls are all over the place screwing any guy they come across. And they are so annyoing. My boyfriend tried to get me to watch porn with him once. I had to turn it off b/c the girl was so annoying. (It was one of those interactive ones or whatever the heck you call it.) The uke are so cute and adorable. I'd pick yaoi over het any day. Plus I have to admit it turns me on. Though I wouldn't tell my boyfriend that, it would probably deflate his ego. He does know that I like it. Now that totally suprised him since I'm so shy and a quiet person in personality. But yaoi let me break free of the constraints my parents had on me. Yaoi relationships are much deeper whether it's a one shot or a series. I feel like I understand the characters. At least IMO. heart

I like yaoi because its different than when you see a guy+girl making out. It's suprising, and when you get suprised you become excited and want more. It's also so much cuter to see two boys suddenly go at each other. whee

Hmmm...
I like shonen-ai and shojo-ai as much as I would like a hetero pairing. If I feel two people would make a good couple, then I believe they do.
Now for yaoi, I can't say because I think gay guys are hot in general. Cause that's just unfair. I know a lot of gay guys, a lot of which aren't commonly labeled "hot", and some of them can be jackasses, just like any straight, bi or lesbian person. But the thought of two guys that I like does spark an interest in me.
I can't find myself liking just any yaoi because it happens to have two hot guys. It needs to make sense to me and I can't straight up hate one or both of the people involved in the relationship. Heck, if the story is good, they don't even have to be hot. *shrug*

I like yaoi beacuse it gives off some emotions that make me go all tingly inside.
When a guy and a guy kiss... there is that sense of danger, yet at the same time, there is such a deep connection, that is so romantic beacuse they don't seem to care in that period of time if they get caught or not.
I also just happen to like some pairings not beacuse it is a guy and a guy, but how the personalities match up to one another. Even if Iruka or Kakashi suddenly admitted he was a girl, I would still love the KakashixIruka pairing, for the personality match-up.

I am a girl and I like yaoi because for me, it represents a relationship where there is equality, no I'm-the-man-so-you-do-what-I-say-b***h or I'm-the-female-so-I-decide-when-we-do-it.
It's males coexisting together. I also adore yuri, too, but to a lesser extent.
And before you ask, I am bisexual, and alot of my ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends had those sorts of attitudes, and I'm sick of them.

we tend to find the opposite sex very sexy ^^ i'm straight...yet i like no LOVE Yaoi!!! i find it very hot and sexy when 2 guys go at it with each other...
as for lesbiens...yuck! because i'm also a girl...
as for yaoi and yuri couples in here...
rather you know it or not you must of have a feeling before you turned offically yaoi/yuri ^^

i'm talking as the fanfiction reader that i'm (so i think it could be a different opinion from a yaoi or hentai anime watcher).
Personally i started reading (and just later watching) yaoi because hentai (and shoujo) was kind of full of stereotypes, while in yaoi they were less present.
Now...uhm...i don't know...its more like an habit XD!
