Mer flushed, his eyes wide before he grinned and took off running after Machus.

Machus was grinning as he ran over the grass, finding it easier to run without breaking pace after shifting to moving on all four legs.

Mer, however, stayed on two feet and chased after the other. It took quite a while, but eventually he managed to tackle the other boy, sending them both rolling across the grass.
"Heh," Mer breathed, grinning as he looked down at Machus where he had pinned him. "Now, you're it."

Machus panted lightly after he found himself pinned to the grass by the other male. Blinking up at him, he tried to tag the other but found his movements limited by the other being atop him.

Mer laughed then quickly rolled off Machus before taking off, runing as fast as he could.

Machus stretched after being released, immediately taking off after Mer.

Machus continued to follow after Mer, panting heavily as he ran through the grass after his prey.

The fox laughed somemore, looking over his shoulder at his persuer, and as a result of not looking where he was going, tripped and fell, rolling down a small hill.

The child paused as he reached the hilltop, watching Mer for a few moments before starting down after him.

He landed in a tumbled heap, still laughing. He was dazed, but unhurt.

Machus chuckled softly, settling beside Mer and resting a hand on the other fox's shoulder. "Are you all right?" he asked softly, smiling and catching his breath.

He nodded, still laughing. Taking a deep breath, he relaxed and grinned. "I haven't laughed that long in ages," he replied, flopping over onto his stomach to gaze at Machus.

He smiled lightly, falling backwards to gaze up at the blue sky only dotted with clouds. Taking slow breaths to slow his heart rate and catch his breath, he laughed softly. "Oh really? Glad I could be of service~"

Mer laughed softly as well. "Yes... You have..." he replied softly, still gazing at the other fox.
