"This is still your day," she grinned and winked as she rose to her feet. She turned her camera off and slipped it back into her bag, then picked up her bag.
"Ice cream parlor, here we come," she smiled and picked up her shoes as she started walking back towards the sidewalk.

Ra smiled and followed her. Turning back to look at their creation one last time. Grinning, he made a mental note to bring Chii here when she came back. He suspected she might find sand castle building fun.
"What is your favourite ice cream flavour?" He asked as they drew nearer to the parlour.

"My favorite would be.... cookies and cream," she smiled and looked up at him as he walked beside her. "What about you? You seem to be very keen on getting ice cream today," she said, glancing through some shop windows as they passed by them.

Ra smiled.
"When I think of the seaside I think of ice cream." He said simply, holding the door open for her to go in first. "My favourite flavour?" He paused in thought as they took a booth that looked out over the sea. "I like sorbet."

"Sorbet? That's not even really ice cream," she smiled as she situated her bag on the seat next to her.
"I'm a huge ice cream fan. I really can't get enough of it, especially when it is piled up on top of a warm brownie with hot fudge. Oh... so good," she smiled and crossed her legs under the table, accidentally kicking Ra's knee.
"Sorry," she quickly apologized.

Ra smirked at her denouncing of his favourite 'ice cream.'
"I admit I don't eat it so much. So I shall have whatever you decide to have. I'm sure it will be good." As she kicked his knee he looked up and smirked.
"Don't worry. It was an accident." He smiled waving his hand in a dismissive gesture. "So, what shall we have?" He asked, his eyes roving over the different colour desserts. "These Sundaes look fun." He said pointing to the colourful pictures.

It all looked really good. Her eyes lingered over the chocolately looking ones, then roamed over the brighter fruity ones.
"This is a really hard decision. Which would you rather have? Chocolate or fruit?" she asked, glancing up at him.

"I like fruit." Ra said looking at the more colourful ones. "But if you want chocolate that's cool ... unless you want your own one?" He wasn't really sure of ice cream ettiquite or if he could eat a whole one. He was due to come off his medication in a couple of days and hadn't had much of an appitite at the thought of withdrawals.
"You have to tell me more about this boy who makes you smile so much." He smirked and pointed to what looked like a good sundae. "I think this one looks good."

At Ra's suggestion, she glanced over at the display case across the way and noticed how large the ice creams were. "Sharing looks like a good idea," she smiled, then looked back at the choices. When he spoke again she looked back up at him and blinked and blushed at the same time. His statement had completely caught her off guard.
"You have yet to cease to surprise me," she finally smiled and glanced down at the sundae he pointed out. "That one does look good," she said then folded her arms on the table and leaned on them.
"Do you really want to hear more about Giani? Or are you just being nice?" she asked giving him a suspicious look.

Ra ordered as the waitress came over and looked back at Israel with a smile.
"Earlier I was a bit jealous. Because I was feeling lonely and sorry for myself." He looked down at the table and then back up at her again. "But now, what you said on the beach. I decided to think of things more positively. Instead of moaning because Chii is away, I'm thinking of things we can do when she gets back." He smirked. Look at him actually talking about what he was thinking for once. "So what I mean is, yes I really want to hear. I have to make sure he's good enough for you right." He laughed a little and folded the menu up.

Is was really quite flattered that something she had said only in passing had made somewhat of a difference on Ra's outlook. She then laughed when he unexpectedly pulled the big brother role out.
"So... because you don't have any siblings of your own, you think can adopt the ones you want at will?" she asked and gave him a wink. She looked down at the ring on her finger and began to toy with it a little. "What do you want to know about him?" she asked, glancing up at him with an uncontrollably bright smile.

Ra shrugged. He didn't really know what he wanted to know about him.
"Not the older brother role." He smiled. "The concerned friend role. I've had too many female friends screwed over by guys lately."
"Uh, anything." He said. He just liked to see her smile when she talked about him. It made his mood lighten if others around him were happier.

Israel looked out the window to the ocean and thought about what she had told Ra already about Giani. How on earth could she sum up everything that Giani had done for and meant to her... especially without being exceptionally boring, as she was certain that Ra was just being nice.
"Well... I guess I'm exceptionally lucky that he came to Aquila when he did. The extremely stupid drama I got myself mixed up in with Xel and Sora... and then when Xel's near death experience dredged up my nightmares...." she said softly, staring off into the distance. She then blinked and turned her green eyes and a bright smile back to Ra as she brushed an imaginary lock of hair out of her eyes. "From the moment Giani walked up to me, he's done nothing but make me smile. He's got a motorcycle and it's so much fun. He's taken me to all sorts of places," she paused and studied Ra for a moment as the waitress brought their ice cream and two spoons. She sat up in her seat and dropped her hands down to her lap.
"Ugh... you're making me all girly," she grinned after the waitress departed. "You really don't want to hear all this. If I don't shut up now I'll go on and on and bore you to death."
She reached out and picked up one of the spoons to scoop a spoonful of the bright concoction between them. She slipped the ice cream into her mouth, and swallowed. As she reached out for another bite she looked back up at him. "Unless if you are secretly looking for ideas to sweep Chii off her feet. In which I'd be more than happy to oblige," she smiled and ate another bite.

"He sounds like a nice guy." Ra said also taking up a spoon and digging it into the large sundae. He laughed at her assumption that he was fishing for tips. "I don't think I could pull off the smooth thing." He said with a smirk. The ice cream was good, he thought as he ate.
"Or I'd try and end up screwing it up."

"That's the beauty though, Ra," she said as she ate. "You don't try. If you just let things happen, good or embarassing, it makes everything that much sweeter. Everything is from the heart and you learn so much about each other," she smiled happily. She fell silent for a moment, watching the ice cream begin to diminish.
"I'll bet you're more smooth than you think. You probably think you're being awkward, she probably finds it very endearing. Probably one of the reasons why she loves to be with you," she said then paused and grew thoughtful. She looked him over again then back down at the ice cream.
"You just need to work on your confidence. You're perfectly natural around me and all the other girls you hang around.... I know Chii is different... but she really isn't. She's your friend first and foremost. True friends don't judge each other. And if she feels as strongly about you as you do her, then you really don't have anything to worry about," she smiled.
