1337 pwn3r yeah, hes a guy. he transforms into his true form in the last episode I thought he/she was a girl.. Oh well, I guess he's a guy..

Well, I never really did think Envy's a girl. It just never came to me. Because:
1. His skirt thing is like a skort or skirt/short. Looks like a skirt in the front, but really are shorts (if you looks at the back). I have one (white, no, not like his), but it's too small for me now whee .
2. His face. His smirks and stuff are more boyish than girlish.
3. His hair. It's too 'spiky' like to be a girls. Sure a girl's hair can be like that but his are like, a palm tree... confused whee .
4. His chest. No breasts. Just like, what, miniature abs? blaugh He's so gonna kill me for that. lol
And anyways, his gender varies, like some of you said, he can transform into a girl or guy. He usually is a boy, though.

envy is a boy, no queastion.but a lot of ppl mistake that cuz of his clothes.he was hoenheims first son after all.

I hope no one gets insulted by me asking this, but what features/qualities do you guys find, that make Envy seem so girly? the hair and voice plus the skirt first off-- guys are allowed having long hair.... in fact, I only have a couple of friends(that are boys) with short hair) secondly-- you have been watching the dub, eh? yeah. that explains why you think that. lastly-- they are shorts with a loin cloth in the front and back........ anyways, you see guy-characters in games that wear skirts all of the time

Envy isnt a girl.You will find out in the end.But the reason he looks like a girl is because he doesnt rember what he really looks like so he takes that form.

Envy is a boy... confused It never occurred to me that he might be a girl....? but now that you've made me actually think about it. I quite sure that he's a boy.

Envy's an 'it' according to the character profile book...
By the way, Envy's only voiced by a woman in the English version. He's voiced by a guy (Same seiyuu as Hitachiin Kaoru from Ouran High School Host Club, I beleive) in the Japanese version.
So, Envy could either be female or male depending on how you choose to look at it. The fact that Envy is an 'it' isn't much accepted, and the general opinion is that Envy is more masculine than feminine.

Envy's voice in Japanese is a girl. According to wikipedia. I've also known that Envy really is an "it", like what Teddixx is saying, but on the last episode, he reveals his true identity. Well, you guys just gotta watch it in order to find out ^^;;.
