I demand a copy of that picture be sent to Ian Churchill to show him how it's supposed to be done.

You mean without the ridiculous anatomy and I-can't-believe-there's-no-vulva skirt?

Exactly. If they could draw her in the Silver Age without her looking like an advert for the wrong sort of nightclub, they can jolly well do it now.

I like the detail work on the tatoo a lot. Great work on the hands too. My only suggestion is that next time, use a ruler. whee

That happened during the scanning. The lady who did it for me pulled the page or something. gonk
Thanks for the good words. It's a real compliment coming from an artist of your caliber. The tattoos were the hardest part of that drawing. I did about twenty photocopies of that drawing without the tattoos to design the tattoo design I liked before finalizing it and adding it onto the final draft.

Ah, well that makes sense. Also explains why it's such a unifrom bend. If you want an honest anatomical critiqute, I'd say you need to work on you foreshortening a little. His left thigh is a little short and not really at the proper angle for what you're going for. It's really close though, I almost didn't catch it.

I did this for my friend:

This probably loses all humourous meaning if you don't know who Luca Turilli is. He's an Italian guy who's in bands like Rhapsody and Kings of the Nordic Twilight who do fantasy rock operas. Pretty cool, too.
If anyone can give me hints and tips on drawing muscles properly, I'd welcome that.

Great job there.
Your muscles in the drawing are quite good actually. If you really ant to get a good grasp on them, I suggest picking up a copy of Anatomy for the Artist by Stephen Rogers Peck. Good comprehensive beginner's book.
