Riku watched her for a moment, and nodded. He cleaned his own wounds once again, noticing that they had started bleeding once more from walking. s Kichea spoke, Rikus one green and blue blue eyes met hers and he nodded. "A while. Nyek took me when I was a cub." He spoke softly, his words lined with regret and anger. "What about you?" He asked, watching her as his tail flicked back and forth.

Ruki had since wandered from her lone, shaded tree to a small pool of water, staring with sulking eyes at the face she now had to live with for the rest of her life. She had kept her mouth shut for now, tail quietly and on occasion tapping from side to side. Eventually she'd managed to dunk her head once or twice, finding that the crusting blood collecting on her left cheek hadn't budged in the slightest bit. With mild reluctance and a soaking wet head, the girl realised fully that it would either be cleaned by someone else or become infected, considering that she wasn't about to sit for hours by the side of this shallow bit of water trying to clean and stop the triple mark from bleeding.
With a great amount of hesitation, the pink colored juvinile slowly started in the direction of the small group which she had rejected only a bit earlier. Unsure whether or not they would even allow her at this point to stay near them, she crawled her way there, moving from tree to tree and stopping underneath each for several moments before shifting to the next. To any passerby it looked as if she were attempting to slowly side in the direction of company-- completely odd for this particular character. She'd noticed another had joined the small group, making the count three, and with her included, four. Tehy had already begun conversation, she heard, making the situation far more awkward than it honestly needed to be.

Malika's ears drooped in disappointment that the female had rejected their offer. Then Kichea came towards them and she smiled at her 'friend' that she made the day the two had first entered the pride. Cleaning her own wound to clean off what ever blood was left she noticed the failed attempts to clean her wound done by Ruki.
Rising to her paws she padded carefully over to the pink female, since had noticed that she had come back toward them. "Would you like me to clean that for you?"

Rukiya looked up momentarily at the sudden voice sounding nearby, only to set her eyes upon the female that had been stting besides Riku just earlier. Malika, she believed she heard him call her. Before speaking, the female gave a quiet sigh, shoulders slumping, despite her eyes continuing to follow the movements of the lioness in front of her.
How come she was marked on her face.. but the rest of these slaves were marked on their shoulders..? She could easily take this as being a bit more special than the rest.. however considering that her face probably was a bit more sore than everyone's leg.. she assumed it wasn't exactly a good thing that this mark had been put where it had.
"If you could that'd be great," The juvinile began lightly, attempting a weak, lame sort of smile although failing miserably.

Malika proceed with cleaning off the girls wound. Although the female wasn't found of the taste of blood she pushed it out of her mind. Soon the dried blood was gone and Malika took a step back too see if it would start bleeding again. "Rukiya is it?" She asked her remembering the name because of Nyek's repeated calls to the pink female.
Her voice was barely lower than a whisper when he said this. "I believe the lord marked you upon the face because he believes you vain and disobediant..." Then She offered a smile "If you'd like we can be friends"

A mild nod was given along with several winces at the quiet pain that radiated from the triple V's on her cheek while Malika's tongue ran lightly over them. It was rare that she would ever accept help such as this. "Thank you. And Rukiya is my name, yes." She began between ripples of pain. "And technically speaking, I am disobedient." Ruki smiledmildly at the thought. No. She'd never be the obedient dog Nyek wanted her to be. She had more pride than that, despite that she'd dropped her guard and usual attitude for this girl.
"I can't see myself bowing to the likes of him. If he would have told me the idea of shoving me off with the slaves to begin with I would have never come here." It was rediculous how Nyek treated anything he hardly cared about, and Ruki found it odd that she hadn't noticed it from the start so she could have avoided this entire mess.
"Still though. The idea of cutting markings of ownership into anything besides the ground is perposturous. I'd love to see his reaction if someone did it to him. Perhaps sometime in his sleep I could sneak over and.." She mumbled throughfully to herself, the idea of getting back at the adult for this keen in her mind.

Malika thought about her next words carefully. "Although I am not too fond of being marked, perhaps it is best for the pride." Then a pause followed her words as she once again thought of her words. "Perhaps it it better, for when someone betrays the pride it would be easy to recognize them from the marking even if you do not fully recognize them by their appearance." She let her words sink before saying anything more.
"Although it may be hard, it is in everyones best interest if they do, that way they can avoid unnessicary punishment." A smile was offered from malika, as she tried to make the female feel better but was unsure if she was. "Now that we are here though...he acts different from the way he was when we first met him, otherwise I too may not have been too willing."
"Oh if you ever want to talk to someone, I'm always here to do so." Another smile and Malika waited for Ruki to say something

"Psh. What pride..? This is a ruddy excuse for a pride, no offence to Nyekundu. If you are only able to conrol someone by using fear and aggression to /make/ whomever you're speaking to swear loyalty and respect.. then quite honestly you have no reason to be anywhere near a leadership position. Just wait.. I'll knock him down a pole on his ego chart eventually," Ruki grumbled distastefully, brows furrowing even further as she did so.
"No. I'll never bow to him. If anything it'll the opposite." She continued stubbornly, still rather stuck in her sense of /her/ being obeyed.. not the other way around. The 'lord' had another thing coming to him if he believed that he would manage to keep Rukiya under his paw for long.
"Oh.. and thank you. I'll keep that in mind." She added lightly, offering a mild smile towards Malika after her last comment.

Although she didn't agree with everything Rukiya had to say she did agree with some of it. "I came willingly, but now in some ways I regret it. However I would have rather come willingly than be kidnapped or forced to come, I just never imagined it to be like this." Malika spoke in her soft tone of voice never really looking at the female she was speaking to. She didn't say anything else on that subject.
"Although you may not bow to him, atleast act like you are showing him respect, it can be to your advantage." Malika offered her tone even softer than before. She didn't want to be marked as a traitor, but she still wanted to help the other girl in anyway she could, atleast for right now.
"Anything for a new friend." The white lioness replied with a smile.

Kichea was a bit late answering Riku's question. Her mind was still toying with all that that happened just a few moments ago. "Milika and I followed him here." She smiled softly looking back over at him, " I was alone and he gave the impression that... He was different then and he tricked me into believeing this place to be different too."
She remembered how stupid she had been. Even taking a second thought before following the overly kind male that lead her to this horrible place. She would have told more if Malika wasn't still there. As she watched her speak of what true loyalty should be given, it didn't make much sence to Kichea how such a sweet lioness such as her could still believe there was good in Nyek.

As Moses watched everything, he took in the sights of the slaves and their hateful glances and eyes at Nyekundu and the rather, annoying outburst of the snooty pink female.
However, he smirked, only to move to a close enough rock, not really wanting to socialise...just to really bath in the sunlight while he listened in on their conversation.
Snoopy little thing wasn't he?
But then again.
As Nyekundu said, if the cub was going to lead his future troops...Moses atleast thought he should know his men...and women first.

Tamariku nodded to Kichea, remembering how he had been abducted. He had trusted Nyek at first as well, but Riku had been a very smart cub and he knew danger when it was near. "I thought Nyek was good at first, too." He said, sighing.
He spotted the white cub, Moses was it?, out of the corner of his eye. He knew that by the way the cub acted he was on Nyeks side, and Riku already didn't like the cub just from that fact. He turned his attention back to Kichea and gave a weak smile.

Kichea glanced over at the cub and then back to Riku. "Despite it all... It is kind of nice to know your not alone." She smiled sweetly and then glanced over at the cub again. He was making her nervous. Having that cub hang around, there might as well be Nyek standing by and watching too. It was more than obvious he had the little one wrapped around his finger and he would surly report anything he heard or saw back to his leader.
She stood wincing slightly at her throbbing leg. "Well, I think I'm gonna head out... It was really nice talking to ya. I'd like to talk again some time." She smiled softly at Riku. She still wanted to talk to him but Nyek's white little follow was giving her the chills as he watched over them. She hoped that Riku would understand that he wasn't the reason she was leaving, she wouldn't even mind if he followed her and gave her someone to talk to. After all her walk to her sleeping spot would be a long one and she wouldn't mind a friend to keep her company.
She started to move away slowly. Her leg was shot with the worst pain she had ever felt before with every step and she couldn't help limping as she walked. It was a bit embarrassing how slowly she could move. By the time she reached the forest edge she'd have to say good-bye again.

Riku watched the lioness get up, and he followed suit. He knew why she wanted to leave; that little white devil. Riku watched her for a little while, and smiled back to her. "I'll see you again soon." He said, nodding to her.
After a little while, Riku stood as well and said his farewells to the other slaves around him. He walked along the path Kichea had gone, and he hoped he'd see her soon. He also hoped she wouldn't mind him being around, he knew he could use a friend and hoped she did too.
